I served my country -- the VA serves me back. This is one of the most well equipped VA centers Ive went to for a small market. (Buffalo, Fayetteville were my other offices for visit) The staff is friendly, the facility is new! If you want to be treated like a prince -- buy private healthcare and hope for the best -- (even then my experiences are not good) -- but what a lot of people fail to remember is that the VA serves Veterans from 5 Wars at this point... and many people who never even saw action. Anyone who is less than grateful forgets that this is a service given to you as a thanks for giving years of your life. Many of you volunteered for that service. (Sorry Vietnam Vets) -- but remember to be thankful.

I wont for an appointment l had to get my travel pay one of the clerks in the center of the big hall.i went to a women at the window told me that computer was out and I should find an open window.the only open window was at the end. I waited there and waited I saw people getting their travel pay after I was told I could not.a man came by and asked me why I was standing there,I told him I was waiting to get my Trevelyan pay .he told me to go to the woman that I asked the first time. She looked past me and asked if any one needed travel pay. I was standing there with my card out she took my card took a very long time before she would get started. I told her to guitar being so rude.

O would have rated a zero if I could. My husband a disabled vet has been having heart issues and sleep apnea that has gotten worse. Had him in the hopital over a week ago in Wilington. Upon release he was to quickly get ahold of VA clinic here in Wilmington to schedule further testing. 30 calls later and many emails later. Nothing. And they also sent his blood pressure meds to the wrong address twice this last month. Even after he called and made sure the address was correct. They sent it out again to the worng address.. Here again our Oh so very improved VA is failing again and again and again... Signed.. A very concerened Veterans wife of 31 years.

Got a call saying they were going to set an appointment for me. They actually said "if you dont hear from us in a few weeks, call in and set an appointment" . Let me get this straight, I have to do your job? Why didnt you just set the appointment with me on the first call you made? Did you spend all day doing this and not set any appointments? No wonder us Vets cant get properly cared for. The employees spend all day calling people, not setting appointments and not seeing patients. Our tax dollars hard at work. With this type of behavior and activity this person is sure to be promoted and given a huge bonus.

Moved from ny, they didnt answer phone for a primary care appointment for over a week, so I just showed up to get things moving (heard phone ringing non-stop in background...hmm?). Had to wait over 2 months for an appointment. When I arrived had to wait 45 minutes in lobby, only to find out I wouldnt be seeing my doctor because hes behind, and PA while a nice guy isnt qualified for all the doctor is I guess. So...end up rescheduled a month and a half further down road for another appt on top of the over 2 months I had already waited. A joke and a waste of my time.

I went there to be seen..100%SC, I was told I would be called back with an appointment time. So I left my number and left....so far 4 days ago, still no call. I will update this if they call. I doubt they will. Thank you VA Update: 3 weeks later, no call. So I called them again, I spoke with primary care who informed me I can get an appointment, but not until the end of June. I asked for an appt on jan.3,2017. That is almost 6 months for an initial appt with a Primary Care doctor not a specialist. Run away from the VA, pray for Trump to fix this.

I didnt come for a scheduled appointment. My doc told me I needed to get xrays and I could go at any time. Easy to maneuver facility. The main area is open and you can see every section pretty well. I didnt wait long at all for my xrays. The tech was very friendly. I only give 4 stars because I drove here from Jacksonville for xrays. I know a lot of veterans from Jacksonville that have to make the drive here for imaging. Its a little inconvenient, but not too bad. Thank you guys for your good service.

My husband asked to speak with the facility head honcho due to the lack of quality of care received here, and the man(Trotter) talked to him but rushed the time to push my husband out, my husband has had over 15 surgeries and walks with a cane and this jerk was rude enough to ask my husband why he walked so slow! This man did nothing to help my husband, THIS IS THE PROBLEM, ZERO compassion, ZERO quality of care, and ZERO repercussions!! THIS is why so many veterans commit suicide, nobody TRULY cares!

I have attempted to call the Pharmacy 13 times in the last half an hour. I get disconnected every time I press 1. Im taking care of my father, and work two jobs. Dont really have time for this. Youd think the biggest organization on the planet could afford a decent phone system. Im giving this three stars because at least the doctors we meet there are decent people that want to help.

A two month wait for an appointment is ridiculous. Having no early morning, late evening, or weeks hours is ridiculous. Be unemployed if you plan to use this VA because if you work a normal full time weekday job youre screwed.

The Wilmington VA HCC is a highly efficient operation. The staff is very friendly and service is top-notch. Upon arriving in the Wilmington area I needed to get an appointment and was given one within one week of the request.

Havent been treated here yet, just my transfer from Fayetteville. However, this morning, I have called over 10x to multiple extensions to make an appt with no luck of even getting my call answered. What in the hell

Worst place to get help for my anxiety, tommorro makes four days without my medication. No big deal unless you suffer from anxiety and panic attacks. Signed pissed off disabled Marine Corps veteran.

This facility is top notch. Everyone on my medical team has been very helpful. They are thorough with all your concerns and questions. You can tell they care about your well being.

Dont waste your time even coming here just go to Fayetteville VA and save yourself a headache. The water is still unusable. Biggest waste of tax payers money.

Veterans employees are doing all they can to help us. They are understaffed, underbudgeted short of supplies that they need
