Oh, such a waste of time! Peruse their recently posted customer service surveys, and youll think youre with the number 1 provider in all NC! T ry to find access to such a survey to leave your own feedback, and you will find nothing. In a year of being here, and being patient about how my records from NJ have been scanned backwards (how gosh darn amusomg is that???; blank records, hahaha!), and here I was hoping to just continue my therapy in a new location, with current records... I have been going back and forth with what I hoped was my physician (recommended by my NJ provider before I relocated) and am met with a gatekeeper in the form of a nurse. My messages are not relayed accurately, and I may only confer with her. I am continutally invited to see him again at 200% of the average cost ( it is what it is), but I cannot even get a telephone call returned with accurate information. And that concerns me. And it should concern anyone associated with this practice as well. Im an adult, and I know what Im dealing with with an tablished disorder. Being told by a nurse that my only option is to come back and discuss more drugs that I cannot take due to a recent Melanoma is just a waste for me. Ill send you the $40 to just let me stay home and have somebody call me. That way, I wont have my hopes up. I can make plans and take notes on my pc at the same time. And FYI, when the NURSE tells you that you really cant go anywhere else due to your plan (even though you paid for a KILLER out of nettwork plan), it makes you feel so much more valued, "Come here, because nobody else will treat you. We wont either, but hey, what other options do you have?" Dont get me wrong, I think my Rhumatologist, Dr George, is great. But hes the Wizard of Oz - cant get to him without dealing with folks who claim to represent him (I find that a bit of a legal challenge), and yet theres nobody else to inform of this process. Ill begin here, and hope to find an internal email to forward my issues to, in the slim hope they can better facilitate communication

Waited 1 hour past apt time just to get bloodwork for health insurance coverage. I saw the Dr. for 2 min. She was not even interested in me, not happy, looked like she wanted to get out of there as fast as possible and hated working there. I went to check out and they said my cost was $240.00. Told them it was preventive care and it should be covered by Insurance CO. Told me that it was not preventive care as it was a "New Patient" visit and not a Physical or emergency. Told them you took my temp, blood pressure, looked in my eyes, ears, throat, Dr. listened to my heart/lungs, etc, asked some health questions etc so that was a check up and preventive. They coded the visit as a "New Patient Consultation" and would not change it to Preventive Care so it would be covered. Bottom line is that they charge you $240 to be a new patient, then charge for any other service you are there for. This way they get the $240 not discounted by insurance co. plus the extra fees for the visit. Total scam and there is nothing you can do. Insurance company agreed but can not do anything because Wilmington Health send the bill and puts the code on the bill and unless WH changes it, the insurance co can not do anything even though they said it should be coded as preventative and covered at 100%. But ahhhh it gets better. Just to have them sign a form with blood work results on it (not even fill it out just sign it), they charged me $15.00. Avoid this provider completely. Even if you have to drive an hour. You can bleed to death on your own or they can bleed you to death financially.

I dont recommend ever going here. I did prenatal care through Wilmington Health and moved half way through it so I never delivered with their doctors. I had a payment plan set up to cover all expenses, plus the labor and delivery ones with their obgyn. Get my final bill and pay it off completely. Seven months later, I get another bill from them charging me more because they increased rates on a service date that was two years prior. Call and no answer, when I finally get ahold of someone they tell me they didnt change anything and it was all my insurance companys fault. I call my insurance and they told me they made an adjustment and charged me more that insurance didnt cover. Call Wilmington health back and get a super rude woman that basically just tried to hang up on me and continued to blame my insurance company. I asked for a complete break down of all the charges trying to figure out how they could charge me more and of course all are completely filled out, minus the date in question. Which I should add was a routine follow up that was billed at triple the cost of all of my other services combine. No questions answered if they even answer their phone. Now I get to meet with a lawyer to see if they can legally charge me more for services that they wont describe. They are only money hungry and a shady company. I loved the staff and the doctors I had, but their billing is completely disrespectful and unethical. Dont ever go there and invest your money, health care and sanity in another provider.

Ive experienced both the urgent care clinic and have nothing but compliments for the doctors and their staff. I have read the negative reviews posted here and feel like its a lot easier to complain than to take 5 mins and spread a positive experience. I think wait times vary by individual and circumstance. Im my instance Ive waited for 2 hours but there were people Ahead of me in worse conditions and Ive waited for 10 mins. I also think it helps if you are established as a patient and not just relying on the urgent care side of their business. Its always easier to get into your Dr than it is to wait in an urgent care facility or an emergency room. Dr. Erhrhart treated my son today and treated him with nothing but respect and patience for understanding his situation. The office personnel were both helpful and friendly. I would recommend them to any friend or family member looking for healthcare in Onslow.

This is the worst display of customer service and patient care that I have ever experienced. I see several doctors through Wilmington Health and am extremely unimpressed with them all. I contacted my doctor for three days straight, leaving messages, before I was finally able to call and get a nurse on the line. I spoke to the nurse about a reaction that I was having and she stated she would call me back. She never did. It then came to the weekend and I had never heard back and the offices were closed. I called and asked to speak to the on call physician. They asked for my doctors name and when I told them, they said that they could not find the doctor on the list. How is this possible?!? I wish that I could say this was an isolated incident, however, it is not. If you want a doctor that will personalize your treatment then this is not the place to go.
