Was here about two months ago. Had a pleasant experience with the secretary, she was wonderful! But, the problems began when I met with the dentists. Nice gals! But by god do they not pay attention when they have sharp instruments in your mouth! Theyre more preoccupied with whats on the television than what they could potentially do to harm your mouth! The first dentist I saw kept stopping to watch The Ellen Show, great program, but not when youre poking and prodding around someones mouth! The second time I was there to get a cap put in, and after they injected the numbing anesthesia, I was made to wait an hour and half before she came and got me, by then it had worn off and they had to do it again and I had to wait another 20 minutes. Then when she was cleaning up my tooth, She ha to keep telling her handy dandy little assistant to keep paying attention to what she was doing. At one point she flat out said she was daydreaming! The f***, man!? After this experience I will spread the word to never visit this dentistry to everyone I can. This is all not to mention their financing department doesnt even ask you if you want to opt in for a mouth wash or toothpaste that costs $40 a tube! They just throw it on there and next time youre in there (after you paid for it) they kindly remind you that you forgot it. Works great, but its the $40 price tag attached to it. So, please if anyone reads this far. Do not go here. Dont do it. You deserve so much better, just like their secretary here, you can do so much better! P.s. Their secretary is the only reason theres more than 0 stars. Meaning shes the only good thing about that place.

I went here a few months ago after reading good reviews and even knowing people that had gone. With high hopes for an exam and maybe a good cleaning, I had been let down by a 2-3 hour exam, the fact that they were poorly understaffed and that half the people in there were being taught by one dentist. Not only was I nervous about my exam but it didnt help that the lady upfront pretending to be a courteous secretary, couldnt have cared less that I was standing in front of here for the 20 minutes it took to just notice me enough to check me in. And thats just the first time I went. Even with my better judgment, I decided to go back for a "filling" that I needed. We had talked about cost and they explained to me what my insurance would and wouldnt cover. I had agreed to pay the $176 because I supposedly needed it done! After waiting for four or more hours, my filling was finally done. A few weeks later, I had noticed the pain that she said would subside from having my filling done, was coming from the tooth that we had talked about filling. So I double checked to see just which tooth had been filled... youll never guess it was the wrong one... and to top it all off!!! The extra $178 she said my insurance would cover? Well it didnt, and I got a bill from my insurance company saying it needed to be paid immediately or else it would be taken to collections. AFTER I had been told I only owed so much, they screwed me over. DO NOT GO HERE. Find a good dentist elsewhere, please. This place doesnt care about you or your teeth. So save yourself the hidden costs and go to a place thats knowledgeable about what they are doing.

I am 54 yrs. Old . after 45 yrs. of neglect and disregard for my teeth, I could no longer stand the pain my teeth were causing me. Seen an ad on TV for Aspen Dental, I decided to go and check it out. From the moment I walked through the door the very first time, I was treated with respect and dignity and true concern over my well being. All the anxiety and apprehension I felt inside was made to disappear. Kara(psr)& Hailey(psr) immediately put my mind at ease. By saying they would take care of me there. And everyone I met there after from Samantha the dentist assistant and Sheila the dentist assistant, showed me nothing but compassion and straightforward understanding, explaining every part of the process of what I would go through to ensure that my dental needs were met. Dr. Krista Johnson, was amazing. I needed a lot of work, from extracting 15 teeth or more and being fitted with a full set of dentures. And when I stood up from the exam she looked up at me and said we will be like family by the time were done. After that I I went to see Melinda the office manager , who like all the others took me under her wing , again walking me threw the whole process from picking out dentures to payment options. She talked to me like somebody she knew and not just someone who she is selling dentures to. She help me formulate a good plan , from starting out small and working into the top.. which was perfect for my budget situation . Like a good mechanic that you trust to work on your car, I trust the associates at Aspen Dental in Fargo to work on me and get the job done right . I THANK YOU for being there !

(Note - I took advantage of the free exam and x-rays, had a deep clean, gum irrigation, and a cavity filled with composite) So it does seem they overbook and spread their people thin in order to maximize their profits which also leads to extended wait times, that being said as someone without insurance this was BY FAR my cheapest option after contacting other local offices for an exam, xrays, and a cleaning. My initial free exam and x-rays did take like an hour and a half which is pretty crazy, but it was free so whatevs, no big deal. After the exam I was given an itemized list of everything Id need done and what it would cost, in some cases by the quadrant ($380 total). When I went back in a few months later to have the work done (long story), that was the exact price I paid. Actually, I paid about half that because the awesome secretaries recommended some discount plan they accept which cost me $40 to signup for bringing my total bill down to $175. I was literally able to sign up for this discount plan the night before, so that was awesome (thank you secretaries!). Facilities are nice, everything seems very up to date technology-wise, televisions at each chair, and most of all everyone Ive dealt with their both front and back has been super nice. If you can handle a little extra wait time literally sitting down in a chair in order to save a pretty good chunk of money, Id definitely recommend this place. Check their website, you can find coupons and sign up for your initial exam online which is also nice.

Im giving at least one star because of the friendliness of my dentist and hygienist I worked with. The financial staff were rude and had no clue what they were doing. People, if you go here and have insurance CHECK YOUR EOB STATEMENTS!!!! They over charged on every filling! I had an antibiotic injection that they said insurance never pays for, well mine did and they still charged me full price $79! I had multiple procedures done on two separate appointments and over paid them by $134 and they still wanted more $$ on my 3rd visit. After showing them what they had been doing, with proof of my EOB statements, they claimed that if its not in their system that way they OVER estimate the cost on procedures until the insurance company pays them. Has anyone heard of such an asinine statement? I was seriously baffled. The gal claimed they do that so the patient has a credit at the end instead of getting a bill? SMH! Im sorry but Id rather keep my money in my pocket instead of Aspen Dental holding it hostage until they get paid by the insurance (which is not the patients problem) We all know how easy it is to get your money back in these types of situations. I will be cancelling my next appointments due to the fact of a poorly run corporate business. Stick to the mom and pop small dental, they have more respect for their patients.
