Great family dentist. I was going to another Dentist in town (I wont name them) for a while and they recommended a lot of work with an estimated bill of $6,000 over insurance. When I said I didnt want the scaling and root planing treatment and only wanted my cavities fixed since I didnt have the money they continued to push me and tell me horror stories about what could happen without acting now. They also said without that treatment cleanings would be pointless. Something didnt feel right about the other place so I came here for a second opinion and Doctor Johnson stated that most of what they mentioned would have been preventative and not necessary. He then gave me a panoramic without charging me since insurance wouldnt cover a second one in a year (the other place gave the first one). Turns out about 3 cavities the other place said I needed work on didnt even exist. He then fixed all the cavities I had and helped out on the cost getting them down manageable payments for me (literally 1/3 of the other places price). This was all over a year ago and I have had no issues since. I recommend using Doctor Johnsons office if you want to work with a friendly, honest, and ethical dentist.

Absolutely horrible experiences here! Once they had the wrong tooth marked and almost began drilling into a perfectly good tooth! After they realized it they were able to fix it, but didnt think to give me more novacain in the right spot so I felt them drilling into my tooth! Unbelievable pain. I also feel they recommended a lot of unnessassary work for my teeth when it wasnt urgent or needed. My wisdom teeth were coming in and they told me to wait and get my cavities done first if there was no pain. Now Im in excruciating pain from my wisdom teeth coming in when I could have prevented that. I feel like my experiences were not common, but be careful. I felt more like a customer here than a patient. They didnt seem to care much about me other than the dollars in my pocket.

I have always had a pleasant experience at Saving Smiles dentistry. The front desk lady is beyond friendly and always remembers me when I come in. My dental hygienist goes above and beyond to help me with my teeth. I have been told by other dental hygienists that I brush my teeth too hard but no one explained to me ways to help me with that. She showed me my damaged gums and she give me a soft toothbrush. I love taking care of my teeth so I was so happy that someone finally gave me advice on how I can maintain my healthy gums and teeth. Dr. Johnson is also friendly and is always patient with me. I would definitely recommend Saving Smiles dentistry to anyone looking for the best dental office in town

Dr. Johnson has been our family dentist ever since Dr. Ugland retired. From the moment you arrive at Dr. Johnson’s office, you feel as though you are the most important person there. They make sure you’re comfortable and take time to explain what to expect. While the Doctor always seems to get the credit, in this case deservedly so. I feel the supporting staff needs some recognition. Besides being an excellent dentist, he has surrounded himself with some of the best people in the business. Not only is he my dentist, I consider him as a friend.

Dr. Johnson is great. Im very glad I switched to him from my previous dentist. Hes friendly, relatable, and does a thorough job. The staff are all wonderful and make you feel very welcome when you are in the office. Scheduling never seems to be an issue. In the words of Tim Gunn they, "make it work" for you. I recommend Dr. Johnson to anyone looking for a dentist! Also, if you dont have dental insurance, they have a program in which you can enroll to get discounted services. - Natalie Wolff

Ive been going to Saving Smiles Dentistry for a little over 2 years now. They have always show the utmost care to me as a patient and a person. Dr. Johnson helped me by getting ready for my wedding and setting me up with a pair of bleaching trays. He also took the most time and care setting my crown and making sure everything fit and looked great. His staff over and over again has made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I am confident recommending Dr. Johnson and his team to everyone!

Walking through the door, I knew I was going to get the best care. Jane at the front welcomed me with a smile and started up a nice conversation right away. Dr. Johnson took the time to explain what was going on and what my options were. He considered my own financial resources over his profit to give me his professional, rather than business, opinion. For anyone who is looking for a great dentist and a nice staff, I would direct them to Saving Smiles in no time.

People talk about being scared to go to the dentist...they must not be going to see Dr. James Johnson and his team. From the moment you walk in, to when you work with the hygienists, to when you have a procedure with Dr. Johnson you feel appreciated as a customer and can see how friendly they all are. Saving Smiles Dentistry is a great place to get your teeth cleaned. They are friendly and helpful. Always smiling when I come in and visit through the cleaning so it goes fast. The dentist is pleasant and friendly and easy to visit with. They are very genuine and really seem to care about your teeth and how youre taking care of them. Especially since they have to tell me everytime I go in how to floss properly. Im just a little lazy on it. Two thumbs up!!

Ive been seeing Dr. Johnson since he began his practice in Fargo. Dr. Johnson and his staff are very professional and have done a terrific job in scheduling regular check-ups, routine cleanings and dental procedures. They always tell me if there is anything I should be doing differently for proper care and let me know if there is anything I should be aware of. I appreciate the advance appointment setting and reminder calls. Very satisfied patient.
