I dont think the staff is friendly at all or prompt at returning calls! We are from the Toledo area & our daughter had surgery 7/19/17. We were discharged on 7/21/17. Really unclear about arrangements at home & Ive attempted to call the office numerous times only to receive a constant busy signal! When I finally did get through on Monday 7/24/17 the nurse said she hadnt been on the phone for two hours-so she did not know why it would be busy!! When I finally spoke to her about our daughters issues & concerns from the surgery on Monday she said shed send a message to Dr. Goodwin. Finally on Wednesday after not hearing back from the office (2 days) I called back. Her response was "oh he didnt call you?!" No!! Nobody called us! So the aftercare of surgery basically stinks! Your child is just another one on the assembly line! As of Thursday we have gotten no returned calls about any of our concerns or issues! Very upsetting!! We transferred to Cleveland Clinic hoping to get better results than here at home. I do however think Dr. Goodwin is an excellent surgeon & he himself is very kind & patient when it comes to explaining things. I give him 5 stars-staff 2.

Horrible experience! My daughter had a femur derotation osteotomy in both legs. He cut both femurs, rotated them and screwed and plated them back together. All but 1 screw snapped in the lower half of the bones in both legs just by scooting in bed (she was non weight bearing). She had to have an emergency surgery to correct the right leg but he didnt correct her left leg. During the 2nd surgery he put her in full leg casts with a connecting spacer bar at the ankles that didnt even cover the break in her thighs. The left leg bone healed on an angle, the plate is jutting into her muscles, and she has broken screw heads floating in her leg. After multiple ER visits, another surgeon in is working on correcting the mess that Dr Goodwin left in my 10 year old! My daughter is getting ready to have her 3rd surgery in 8 months!
