Amazing hospital you can count the problems they have in one hand lets start with waiting at the ER i have a severe bleeding disorder and i have never had to wait in my life to be seen in the er even if its understaffed or full do to the fact i can die or loose a limb to this condition had to wait 3 hour to be seen after i told them the pain was so bad that 30 mg of ocycodone had not even help it was like taking tynenol for a broken bone !! Number 2 wait time after getting called into the er waited another 2 hours befor the doctors came in still no pain medication. Number 3 was sent for an X-RAY and tech asked me to straighten my leg by this time i had gotten some pain medication but the tech tought it be a great idea to pull my leg not only as fast as she could but also as straight after i told her to help me by pulling slowly as i was unable to do it my self that not only hurt immensely but caused my leg to bleed even faster internally. Number 4 after bien addmited i was sent to get a sonogram to see how bad the bleeding and swelling was in my leg the tech was great and was doing her best not to cause me to much pain but after finding the bleed she called in a doctor i was willing to help to fast track the process told him i can lay on my stomach and let the tech pull slowly to straighten my leg but can only do it for a few minutes as that was the most painful position i can be in the tech was very gentle and help me not only layon my stomach as painlessly as she could and also straighten my leg as gently as she could the doctor then pushed as hard as he could causing me to scream and cry i am 27 years old and crying and scream at the top of my lungs after about 3 minutes i couldnt take it any more and tryed to turn around but he stopped me every time I tryed this continued for about 45 minutes i ended up with a migraine to ad to this i was on a pca of diluden (a machine witch when i pressed a button gave me pain medication it had a time limit of 6 minutes after each push) told everyone one i could about this and demanded an apology witch i never got. Number 5 the day i was to be discharged i waited 7 hours to be let go because the doctor wanted to see me one last time after the 7 hour wait i was discharged and the doctor never came all in all the nurses are amazing and take great care of you they go all the way . Last problem is one doctor who is rude to the core and has sarcasm poring out of his entier body he is a hematologist name Steve hoob not sure his last name is correct but he is the biggest son of his mother a pure awhole but the hospital is great i love it there when the doctor actually do there jobs right and care

My mother had to have brain surgery in February for a cancerous tumor. Although the neurological surgeon is top in his skills and patients come from all over for him to operate on their heads, he lacks complete bedside manner and humanity. Overrall, we found UH to lack terribly in their communication as a whole. Five weeks after the surgery, we still do not have a future plan of action; no one seems to know what the other is doing. The nursing staff, however, is awesome! We cant say enough about them all from the neuro ICU to their neuro step down; awesome people. Sorry I cant give a higher score.

My husband is constantly gabbing drains done and it seems to take them 4 times and 2 weeks to get it right. Communication sucks at this place. 24 hours after ct scan and no one knows why it isnt read. Gabbing cancer is bad enough. Dealing with the stress of incompetent people is awful. Not to mention they give you a number for an arbitration person... have called 3 days and no return. Im so done with this hospital. Nurses however are great.

Whatever you do... Dont tell them you ever took drugs because they wont give you anything for pain they made me suffer it was cruel and in humane! Also one doctor tells you one thing and then the next day..different doctor tells you something completely different... I wouldnt recommend this place for anyone.. Especially for anyone who is fighting for their life!!

We have had several admissions for my son. The longest was a month! We love the staff. One of the nurses offerred to go to the store for us! The doctors are too notch. No one thought my son could be saved. Dr. Siegal did the impossible with surgery. Dr. Lee is straight forward and compassionate. Our only issues were when we werent at Seidman.

A beautiful new building offering peaceful common areas, interesting wall art, light, and space. It seems so strange, then, that such a well-thought-out architectural design would be coupled with the usual blaring TVs tuned to daytime TVs, which are installed in waiting rooms and infusion suites.
