I took my newly-adopted cat in for his first checkup, I didnt have any urgent medical needs. Dr. Kooner and staff were very gentle with him and gave him a thorough checkup, weight, teeth, listened to his insides (and gave him a clean bill of health). I chose Flint Animal Hospital because not only is it close to my apartment, I did a lot of research on vets in the Dublin-Powell-Worthington area, and this one seems the most reasonably-priced while still providing expert care. I cant personally compare to others, I havent been in Columbus very long, though Ive had experience with cats and vets all my life. The office is small and homey, I appreciate that its not a huge "renovated" facility that got that way by gouging patients... About a week later they sent me a sweet letter signed by all the staff welcoming my cat and me, along with a gift certificate good for a year. Ill be back, but hopefully not too soon!

WE LOVE DR. KOONER! We have been going to him for about 20 years and would NEVER go to anyone else. He takes the time to explain all of Abbys issues and also makes sure we have a full understanding of all of our options. If the most expensive route is not the answer, he will be the first to say so. Our dog recently had eye surgery and she got the very best care possible from the entire staff. The vet tech kept me up to date on her recovery each time I called from out of town, and seemed to genuinely care about my dog. It was icing on top of the cake. The man that also works there, Megand (Im sorry, Im sure I misspelled it) is always very polite and courteous. I hope he passed his vet exam. Dr. Kooner is also one of the most reasonably priced vets in the Worthington area. I WOULD NEVER GO ANYWHERE ELSE. Again, I would NEVER go

Have an 8 month old shepherd who hurt his paw while playing at the park. Went to the vet I originally went to(BF) they said that he had a blister on his pad without really looking at it. Few days passed and his foot was worse, I was in a panic because his foot was swollen and bleeding. I had seen Flint rd vet while passing by. I wanted another 2nd opinion. I called Flint Rd Animal hospital and they got me in post haste. Come to find out it was a puncture wound that was infected. This was determined because the vet at Flint took the time with Kaine and went over options. I highly recommend Flint, they call and do check ups on how your pet is doing. They talk to you with respect and as if you have known them like an old friend. Go there, you wont be disappointed.

My Chihuahua had something on her ear and it wouldnt go away. I noticed on a Saturday that it looked worse than before. I called Flint Animal Hospital b/c they are right down the street from me. They actually had an opening to see my dog that day. Dr. Kooner was awesome! He was realistic and didnt try to push a whole bunch of tests or medications on my dog. He gave me something for her ear and it looked better that night. The biggest surprise was when I got the bill and it was only 68$. I was expecting 150-200. I took her to a different vet for a smelly ear a year or so ago and they did an exam, gave me ear cleaner and ear medicine and it was 198$. Needless to say I did not go back there. I would definitely bring either of my dogs back to Dr. Kooner.

Although the Dr. does seem good, it is not the best place to take your animal. I took my dog for pain and had told them before arriving that I didnt have any money and treatment had to be discussed with me before actually giving my dog any medicine. They ignored my request, took her in the back, and treated her without consulting me. I barely had enough money to pay them afterwards. Ridiculous. Whats worse is that what they treated her with did nothing and she is worse today. Now I have to look for more money to take her to a different vet. Needless to say I am never going back there again.

Dr Kooner is wonderful! Very knowledge and has a wealth of experience in the veterinary field. I have been taking my dogs to him for several years with no problems. Easy to get an appointment, even on weekends or after work. Prices are fair. He is never pushy about treatment - he gives you information and options. I would recommend.

First class veterinary service here - we have tried many vets in the area and Dr Kooner & staff are tops for quality of care and customer service - treatment options are always explained fully. A welcome and refreshing change from previous vets who seemed to regard us as having a bottomless pit for fees ....

I have had nothing but excellent care. Dr. Kooner gives out all options and possibilities and never pushes one choice over another. They all showed compassion when both my cats had passed within a year of each other. They are all,caring and friendly. I am now having my new kitties see him now!

Staff was great! They got us in at 3:55pm and they close at 4pm! I had come home and my dogs face was swollen. They were kind, informative and gentle with her (shes a big girl and dogs with her look get a bad rap sometimes, but shes a big baby). Ill definitely be back.

Wow what a great vet! Hes super friendly with the animals and my dog warmed up to him quickly. He saw me right away, was clear about what is going on, and gave me clear instructions on what I needed to do. I couldnt have asked for better service. 5 stars!
