Ive been taking my animals there for about 17 years, and although the veterinarians are pretty great, it does sometimes take a very long time to be seen. The biggest issue i have is with of one of the secretaries. Ive been told about her attitude and I, too, have seen it first hand. The most recent time I was in there she purposely ignored me for a significant period of time. Certainly she was dealing with another client as he was leaving, but she was done cashing him out; she continued making small talk and purposely stood around and waited for something else to say to him while I stood at the counter. She knew why I was there... to pick up the cremations of a beloved pet. I could tell she had an atttiude because once I asked if I could just get the ashes myself (as I am on time constraints to pick up my daughter off the bus) she had a complete attitude with me once I asked it I could just get them (and Ive done it before without a problem). Normally she is okay to deal with, but her inconsistencies make someone not even want to go back, especially because they are a little expensive. Dr. Nordrum is a great vet; very caring too! The other vets are as well, but Dr. Nordrum definitely stands out due to her being thorough in her explanations.

I brought a tiny orphaned kitten in to Yale Veterinary Hospital with no appointment and I was a new client. One of his eyes was almost completely closed up with infection. That little guy was treated like he was the most important kitten ever. They took him in and watched over him, while I went back to work, and until Dr. Andrea S. Nordrum was able to take a look at him later that day. She patiently coaxed him out of the carrier and very gently examined him, taking the time to explain common conditions with strays and what to look for and how to apply the eye drops. Andrea is genuine and kind. Having recently moved to the area, I feel fortunate to have found her.

They were treating my dog for a UTI and she became really sick and I had to take her to Wilsons because they were booked, come to find out she had a tumor the size of a grapefruit on her kidney! 4 months later and a $1800 bill from Wilsons and no dog to show for it!

Dont trust them they will let others charge to your account without your permission, then tell you you will have to have that person come in and claim responsibility.

They keep up on your pets needs by finding a path to recovery and sticking to it. They also work with you for appointment times.
