I have had two bad experiences at this facility. First one was for a cat coughing and acting as tho he had something in his throat. I was sent home with hairball remedy and told to come back if it didnt resolve. Three days later no change and we go back. I kept telling them he acted as if it was a throat issue. I was then sent to Diley emergency and they wanted to charge me $1800.00 ~ $2000.00 for exploratory surgery. Moral of the story the cat had an irritated throat. An antibiotic and he was fine but certainly a large vet bill. Second I took a Persian cat to the same Vet and she told me my cat was "critical". However, she waited three days to do a blood draw which should have been a "stat" draw and I didnt get the results until four days later. If you love your pet then my suggestion is stay as far away from this facility as possible. They are expensive and have no clue how to treat other than give a few shots and charge you big time.

Unfortunately this clinic has gone down hill the past two surgeries my animals had there both led to infection. They were just simple neuter surgeries. We have also had an aggressive animal that needs put down but they have refused for years to do so. As well as made us feel guilty for not being able to afford an exploratory surgery for our cat that swallowed something and needed put down since we couldnt afford the surgery which they quoted us would be between 2 and 4 thousand dollars. Now they are saying that they cannot guve us our records and that its against the law to do so. I used love this practice when it first opened but it keeps slowly going down hill.

I was frustrated with my other vet so I made an appointment here. My dog was having skin problems that i felt was not being thoroughly treated. Every vets office is going to have a smell but upon my visit I could barely smell animals. It was clean, everyone was super friendly, communication was great, barely any wait time, and the vet was professional, informative, and thorough. My dog finally had proper treatment and I saw a change within 48 hours.

We have taken our rescue dog to Canal Animal Clinic for several years now. Last year, we added a 2nd dog to the family. Canal has always treated our pets as part of their family and in my opinion is willing to go out of their way to help in many situations. Last year, I saved a dog that was abandoned after being hit by a car and Canal Animal Clinic assisted in getting the dog the correct treatment.

Doctors Greenwald and Frasure and their entire staff are extremely compassionate and professional and seem to care about our pets almost as much as we do. Their prices are very reasonable as well.
