First off I just want to say a really belated Thank you to the entire staff. In 2011 my Yellow Collar macaw was having breathing issues. I have taken her to my regular vet time and time again to be told that she has allergies. This had gone on for so long that we actual thought she would die from her allergies. It had gotten to the point that her feet were turning blue due to lack if oxygen. I had called my vet and tried to get them to see her to have her put down. She was getting worse and suffering so bad we did not want to have to die that way. Luck was on our side. He was out of town and referred us to ACU. Dr. Bobulsky examined her and asked if we were willing to see what she could find. this was at 3:00 on a Saturday. We left our baby there and went home and prepared for the worst. Sunday at 9:30 the phone rang and my heart stopped. It was the vet tech saying she my bird had made it through the night and was eating. On Monday I received a call that Dr Burton and Bobusky had examined her and that she needed surgery. That she did not have allergies but a cyst in her throat making it hard for her to breath. Two day later my baby was home and relaxing but her feet were pick and she could breath. I my husband not moved us to Florida I would not see any other Vet.

While I appreciate that this practice made the time to see us on short notice (twice in two days) when our chameleon got sick, they were utterly unhelpful. The assessment of what was wrong did not make any sense, and the treatment did not help. They provided medications to help her let down her eggs (she was apparently ready to have her first infertile clutch), but were not interested in investigating why she was keeping her eyes closed, or so weak and listless, which is the opposite of how chameleons normally behave when they are about to lay their eggs. Worst of all, when they sent us home with oral meds, they failed to tell us that the reptile glottis (opening to their trachea and lungs) is on the floor of their mouth, which I did not learn until I was frantically googling why she was making strange sounds while breathing after administering them. That is exactly where I had aimed, as its how you are supposed to give oral meds to mammals. I think I accidentally aspirated fluid into her lungs. She went from bad to much much worse, and if she was going to recover before, she certainly isnt now. We are helpless as her breathing slowly becomes more shallow and the color drains from her body. I wish I had put more effort into finding a knowledgeable/experienced herp vet.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE!!!! My dog was left without water all day long and Im almost positive no walks either!!! after picking up my dog she was so thirsty and did her business right away, didnt even wait to get to the grassy areas. Also they are so expensive more than other vets around Columbus/Dublin check it out for yourself and do a google search on expensive vets. Also Megan so called customer service needs to grow the help up!!! dont ask Megan any questions about treatments, shots, procedures she will twisted your works and said that youre been rude and you are barking at her!!! Also they will not work with your nervous pet at all, they always want to sedate your dog...if you refused they will still charged you for a full vet appointment without even looking at your pet teeth. Btw they will not trim your dog nails unless your dog voluntarily give them his/her paws and smile to them. they will not even make an attempt nor play with your dog to make him relax. Please take your dog somewhere else, he will be more happy and you will made him a favor! Why to pay for a pet day care? I couldve leave my dog at home, least he wouldnt be in a cage old day long!!!

My review stems back to 2004-2005, please note that it might no longer apply as staff has changed. ACUs surgery method and after-surgery care were terrifying. Instead of internal, dissolving stiches for my ferrets adrenal surgery they used heavy gauge staples, about 10 of them right up the stomach. I grimmace thinking about how my ferret felt when they took those out. She ultimately died of unspecified complications. The total cost was well over a thousand dollars for the surgery alone. It was very expensive comparatively. The staff at ACU really seemed to want to help me and my ferret, I believe they really did care about her and me. For that, I am certainly appreciative. But that was not enough when paired with inadequate tools and methods. I will not return to ACU if I can avoid doing so.

I am a first time cat owner and took my adopted cat in for her first check-up. The doctor and vet technician identified three diseases and helped me determine the best way to give my pet her medicine. The vet technician was also very gentle and kind to my kitten. She suggested alternative ways to give pills and administer creams. For the amount of service that was provided, I think the cost was typical or at least not as expensive as I thought it would be. I have simply called for minor problems and they were more than willing to help over the phone. My only reason for downgrading from 5 stars is that I asked for advice on giving my kitten a bath and they didnt seem to have much info to provide. Otherwise, I will be going to this veterinarian for all of my cats needs!

We used Animal Care Unlimited for almost four years, but more importantly, during the last stages of our Golden Retrievers life. We cannot recommend Dr. Jamie Bobulsky enough, she provided excellent care for our dog and was always understanding and sympathetic. Even though the surgery we went with did not ultimately save our dogs life, the staff was extremely thoughtful and understanding during a very difficult process. We did have one small issue along the way, but they were more than fair and courteous about everything once I brought it to their attention. We will definitely use them again if we ever decide to rescue another dog.

I am actually from about 2 hrs south of Columbus and could not find a Chinchilla vet anywhere near us. I have a baby Chinchilla that got her ear almost ripped off so we drove her to ACU and let me tell you...wow. The people are amazing. The prices were reasonable. The reception to techs to the doctor was incredible. I would almost take me other animals there if it wasnt such a miserable drive. They took care of us and our little Chinchilla is better. Thank you ACU!!

Fantastic staff. Brought my budgie here on very short notice. He had been vomiting, and I needed a vet ASAP! They really went above and beyond. Incredibly reasonable prices for avian care. The vet and vet tech were very kind, loved them. They taught me how to give meds to my bird. They even took my 16 month old daughter to see puppies when she was upset about waiting. I will be back here with all my birds. Thank you for helping Wudgie, you guys rock!
