Hello. This vet is very courteous and professional. He will explain everything to you and his staff is phenomenal. If like to emphasize that his staff are 5/5 especially Stephanie. A few things to be aware of, in terms of what types of care they can provide. Xrays but not ultrasounds. This is important because if you think your animal may be seriously sick, you may want to think about taking them directly to a larger practice. Our most recent experience turned out to be very expensive because we were referred to Hilliard Med Vet and when we arrived at 3:30pm, within office hours, we were told the referral from Dr Djelmis did not request an ultrasound. Subsequently there was no need for the referral because Med Vet was able to drain fluid from the pleural cavity without ultrasound at Med Vet (the referral was needes we were told bc an US was needed to guide fluid removal). A $400 bill from Hilliard Vet Hosp. and then a $700 bill from Medvet means our financial interests were not protected. Med Vet blamed Hilliard Vet Hosp and told us that if the referral mentioned the need for US they would have told them that it had to be scheduled in advance. We actually were very upset initially with Med Vet until we argued with the actual Medical Director in person who explaimed it was not Med Vets fault. The referral pathway needs improvement. In the end becuase of the costs we cannot afford the Ultrasound so we are left with hopes and prayers for our cat. At least the fluid was drained but it could happen again. One other thing in regards to MedVet, i learned you should outright skip hilliard Med Vet and deal only with the worthington office of medvet because apparently that is where the most advanced imaging and diagnostics are located. Hilliard Medvet has to send things to them for review anyways. There are just entirely too many middlemen in the system and i had just had surgery on my foot so even one trip was difficult for us to manage. Our other visits to Hilliard Vet Hosp. have been very positive, including a bladder surgery for another cat as well as succesful diabetes managment for yet another cat. For that reason i am giving 4 stars rather than 3, but this most recent trip left a bad taste in our mouths. Regards, Brian and Lindsay Bain

I read Daves review and was wondering if he was reviewing the same vet! I feel for his situation, but I did not receive the same impression! Please read my story... I was keeping a pure bred Newfoundland dog that a friend of mine found being neglected in her neighbors barn. These folks were eager to find her a home. I took the dog to this office simply because it is close to my Hilliard home (I have 4 other dogs that I take to a vet further away). While there, I was incredibly impressed with the loving staff and extremely kind veterinarian, Dr. Djelmis. The vet spent nearly an hour looking over every inch of the dog. He discovered issues that her prior vet (I was able to obtain her extensive vet records) had missed that had been creating chronic problems for her (frequent urinary infections and skin issues). The price for treatment was reasonable, and Dr. Djelmis more than adequately explained how to care for her at home to prevent further problems. The office staff called twice to check up on her as well. She is now a happy healthy pet, and I have decided to keep Nina the Newfoundland. I have also decided to switch my other 4 dogs (St. Bernard, Cane Corso, Boxer, and border collie mix-- all rescues) to him now as well. I am VERY happy with my new vet! I highly recommend him!

Long story short, as long as Im in central Ohio Ill be headed here for vet services. Dont let the name fool you! They do everything here, this is not an emergency only facility. The staff members at this animal clinic are absolutely amazing. They know exactly how to welcome an animal into one of the most stressful environments they will encounter, making your life as a pet parent a little easier and much less heart-breaking. Yes, the cat will yowl and the dog will whine and howl but these guys are treating your furry friends as their own and with the gentlest of hands while letting you know what is going on the whole way. They are very willing to give recommendations and answer any questions you have about your companion to make things as easy as possible. Both visits Ive had I was seen right away and escorted to a private room to let my kitten roam around to get comfy.

I have been taking my dog here for over 3 years now and I cant say enough good things about it. Dr. Djelmis is very upbeat and enthusiastic - you can tell he loves animals, his job, and most importantly the health of your pet. He does a great job of educating and explaining the situations at hand and answering questions. The staff is also wonderful. My dog feels way more comfortable coming here than some other places shes been. I was glad to see they expanded their facility to accommodate larger dogs and my son LOVED their open house when it was finished. I hope they hold more events for kids in the future.

Its a small practice which is great. You can tell they care about every animal that walks in the door. They spend their time looking over your pet and at any time do you feel that they are trying to rush you in and out to make a quick buck. Prices are pretty reasonable...they do take their time to go over options and give you rough estimates before hand if possible. I recommend this Vet if youre in the Hilliard area!

Everyone at the Hilliard Veterinary Hospital was so nice. Im a new dog owner and Dr. Djelmis is so nice and explained so much to me about my dog, Roxy. They also went over treatment and the cost of things before giving them to make sure the price was okay. Then they called about a week later to make sure everything was going well. I cant imagine a better Veterinary clinic, so professional and so nice.

We had to take both of our dogs in the other day. One had to be euthanized and the other was going in for his yearly check up. They took their time with us and were very thorough. Did not rush us. Prices were good. They went above and beyond. We even received flowers the next day for the loss of our dog. We would highly recommend Dr. Djelmis and his staff.

Absolutely LOVE this place! We brought our Doberman puppy in for his first appointment and well never go anywhere else now. Dr Djeimis is wonderful, and the staff is awesome! We never feel pressured for unneeded services, they are honest and open about their recommendations but not pushy at all ... and the price for visits seems really fair.

I first brought my dog in for his shots when I moved here a year ago. The doctor was very nice as were the rest of the staff. Wonderful service, and they also provide grooming services. My dog always looks and smells great when he goes. They also have just finished a remodel of the facility, making it larger and even nicer. Give them a try!
