Ive visited several times since last year, but wanted to share my first experience with KAH: I was town for the holidays last year, and needed an urgent chest X-ray for my dog to rule out pneumonia. He was diagnosed earlier that year with myasthenia gravis and megaeasophagus, and was prone to aspiration. Hed had pneumonia twice that year already, so this was a big deal to me. We started off at another vet clinic, whose customer service and practices were appalling, so we ended up here at Kettering Animal Hospital. What a difference it made to give this clinic a try! They have walk-in appointments in the morning, so my dog was able to receive last-minute care, the day before Thanksgiving no less! The vet tech and vet (Thomas and Dr. Spinks) both understood that my dog needed slow introductions with strangers, and they had him performing his tricks for treats and giving kisses in no time. My dog received the urgent care he needed, and more importantly, they treated him like their own pet and made him feel welcome, relaxed, and loved. I cannot thank Kettering enough for their wonderful service that day!

I had taken my dog here several times and was quite pleased with the whole experience. Unlike most vet experiences, my dog showed less and less fear with each visit. Our doctor and staff were great. This morning I took him for dental cleaning. I knew the cost of the cleaning and was allowed to choose to have or not have blood work and what kind of pain meds to be administered. I knew that extractions would cost extra. I didnt know there would be x-rays. The cost of the x-rays, extractions and meds tripled the total cost. The extractions alone were more than the actual cleaning. I took my older dog to another clinic last year for dental cleaning. He had the same amount of extractions, and had blood work which I did not choose today. The cost was approximately one/third of what I paid today. Next time, I will check more carefully into total charges.

I have used this vet for years for both our rescue felines for the rescue we volunteer for, as well as my own personal pets, including a shih tzu puppy. I love this vet, as they are caring, careful, and extra kind with the animals. It is a busy office, so please consider that when choosing to complain about a wait, or the attitude of the staff. I think the front desk girls take on a lot of responsibility, and do it willingly with a smile. Thats all that matters to me (and to my pets). Thank KAH for always stepping up and being there every time I need you.

we are very happy with the experience we have had at Kettering Animal Hospital. We recently moved here from Maryland where we had a wonderful relationship with our vet. On our first visit with an adoption from Sicsa we met with Dr. Beltz. he was very kind and answered all of our questions. We even had a minor emergency they took care of as well. Due to our adoption from Sicsa we had to get our 6 year old cat neutered and they took great care with him as well. Kettering Animal Hospital will be our go to for all 3 of our fur babies needs.

Front end staff is rude and unwelcoming and the lady vet we saw was the most negative, doomsday predicting person Ive ever met. She told us our dogs cancer would come back and it was just a matter of when, not if. We are now 5 years post-cancer and shes doing great. The prices are outrageous and nearly twice what we are paying now; every time we went it was over $100. My bigger dog was left there when we had him neutered and since that day, he is petrified of vet visits. I dont know what happened, but we wont be going back.

One of my three cats was in distress and I was unable to get an appointment where I had been going previously. They took my cat in immediately. The staff did seem friendly but most important to me was they were caring toward my cat. Long story short, I was told an x-ray was probably not needed but was offered the choice. I was also offered other choices in medications available. I was kept informed and allowed to make informed choices. It is nice to find a place that seems to care about the patient, the cat!

Stopped taking my pets here for boarding years ago. They unknowingly charged for every little (possible) ailment that they believed my pets had. They then talked down to you for belittling their judgments (mind you, these were the workers there, not the vet - obviously they all have veterinary degrees). One boarding cost twice the boarding cost due to (negative) tests. Really great scam this vet has going! There are much better (and cheaper) vets who do not have hypochondriac problems.

We cannot say enough positive things about Kettering Animal Hospital- especially Dr. Spinks! She is so thorough and loving with our pets. She takes the time to go through every possible charge before performing any tests/ procedures, and she patiently answers every one of my questions (and I usually have a lot). We are military, and this place is one of the things I will miss most whenever we have to move!

I have taken my pets to Kettering Animal Hospital for several years now. Im very happy with the doctors on staff, and the groomer Yuko is AMAZING! She is so sweet and great with animals. The front desk staff, however, could be more friendly. And the services seem to be WAY more expensive than other veterinary clinics. The facility however is beautiful and is always clean.

They euthanized my best friend without my knowledge or prior consent and then sent me a bill for it. They did not give me the chance to say goodbye, They didnt tell me when I picked up her body, they told me that she had experienced a cardiac event. They let me read about it on an invoice, euthanasia $300.06. If you love your pet take them somewhere else.

We had to take my cat little one to get looked at and they were very helpful and caring. Unfortunately we had to put him to sleep and they helped us make the decision. We also received a card saying how sorry they were about him. The doctor and nurses was very nice and I would go back.

We had to put down our 15 year old pitt because his body was shutting down. This place showed us so much compassion when we needed it the most. Thank you for making such a hard thing a little easier..I recommend this place. Top notch staff!!

They were very helpful. I called after 4pm and they still got me in that day. I didnt wait long when I got there. They didnt try and sell me more service than my cat needed. I will take my animals here from now on.

I really like this vet office. I have two cats and one rabbit. They always receive great care and the prices are not outrageous. They have convenient walk in hours which is nice if you have a sick or injured pet.

Overall, KAH is overpriced and suffers from long wait times. Im there mainly because Dr. Spinks is one of the best vets Ive ever encountered and I feel that despite the high costs, my dogs are getting good care.
