The employees who work here, from the front desk to the assistance/help to the doctors themselves were the best that we have ever come across. My husband and I had a rescue cat from our apartment complex for about 1 1/2 yrs. (Found out before this sad situation he was only about 3 yrs old when we had to put him down.) We took notice that his breathing was becoming harder and his lower stomach was becoming thinner. We thought maybe Asama or some kind of allergy becoming worse. **The vet we were going to before we had come here said in a past visit that he had allergies and gave us medicine to give him a few months beforehand.** When his breathing was becoming bad, not only that but it was hard to try and coax him into the carrier. Then the vet I was originally going to take him too said they were only going to be open for another half hour. This was going to be the only time I could possibly get him into anywhere (work schedule/ meetings/ etc.) So after a few calls around the Austintown area for a vet or at least some kind of answers the lady on the phone at this location was so sweet, calm and collected on the phone. She said that they can take him in and at least find out what is going on. After having no choice but to wrap him in a towel and place him in the carrier, I brought him in. They took him and the carrier to the back room. (Which at first made me nervous because the vet I originally took him too would have me go in with them.) I filled out some paperwork and such. a couple mins later a lady came out and told me that the vet would like to go a step further and take some x rays. She didnt like the way he was breathing either. They warned me beforehand about the cost, which to me wasnt bad. **And not to mention that the original vet I used to go to I dont think even has an x ray!!** So after some time, talking between my husband and the vet, we found out that he was positive for lymphoma/cancer in his chest. They were super sweet, understanding, supportive, anything and everything our past vet (in my opinion) was not. They made a hard time in our lives more comforting. We ended putting him to sleep that day. I know we did the right thing. And I know at times I just wanted to just leave and take him home and take care of him myself. But the doctor and my husband helped me to not be so selfish considering the fact that even if we were to take him home there was no guarantee that he would ever be 100%. And he had already lived a rough life. They were sweet enough to get his "paw print" for us. And we even got an urn for him from another company (Becker) who even delivered it to them for us to pick up there since they are a little far out for us. About a week later we got this beautiful card with the entire staff signatures on them and the sweetest heartfelt poem ever. We are planning on getting another kitten very soon (Looking into Angels For Animals this Saturday) And we will DEFINITELY Use them for him/her. Thank you guys sooooooo much from the bottom of our hearts for all you did for Felix and us. And again I am sorry for my emotional and selfish thinking for that small period of time. *blush* Cant wait to see you guys again, and we will be sure to tell others about our experience with you. Much love and kindness to you.

As a new client that has two dogs, I must say I have been initially very disappointed with the timeliness and preparedness of the office staff and vets at MVVC. On both of the two separate/initial visits my dogs and I had to wait for an available room to open up for over 40 minute (even though we arrived 5 minutes before the scheduled appt. time). This strikes me as very disrespectful of a pet owners time (I took time off from work for both visits) and in all honesty, disrespectful of the animals well-being. On my visit with dog #1 - another pet owner did not have their dog properly leashed and it engaged in a skirmish with my dog - very stressful. On my second visit with dog #2 - the wait was really traumatic as she is a border collie mix and waiting in a constrained space with other people/animals is not what this breed is comfortable with. Our actual time in the exam rooms was less that 15 minutes and that was prolonged - due to the fact that no one had looked through the dogs records faxed from another vet - and the technician had not printed the full record and had to keep leaving to go access the records at the front desk - to check on vaccination dates. Seriously considering looking for another practice where they are more organized and more respectful of appointment times.

I took my puppy in for his second appointment today, and upon arrival realized I had forgotten to grab the card to pay for his visit. I had no cash or checks on me, and when I told the nice lady at the front desk, she said it was no big deal and that I could simply call them with the card info later. I was so relieved. This truly is an awesome place. The entire staff is so kind and remembers all of the animals that come in, and its clear that they genuinely care about them. I also really love that we dont have to worry about breaking the bank when we go to appointments. Id say theyre probably the most decent priced around, especially for the quality of this place. Its outstanding. Im beyond pleased that I found them.

So very pleased. We adopted Mitzi, a senior dog, from the Humane Society and wanted to have her checked when we brought her home. We were referred to Mahoning Valley Vets, and are so glad we were. Each member of the staff was so welcoming, and from the way they each greeted Mitzi, I knew it would be good. Very caring, patient in answering all questions, no waiting, and reasonably priced. You cant ask for more. Found out that Mitzi has an issue that will probably require surgery, but they were kind enough to provide us with a "pre-plan" so we will know the cost going in. I couldnt ask for more, and highly recommend that if you are looking for a vet check them out I dont think you will be disappointed.

I love this place! I receive text and email reminders for appointments. The staff is friendly and willing to answer all my questions. The office is clean and nicely decorated. I have had 2 semi-emergency situations and they helped right away, and gave follow up calls for the next couple of days! I have four dogs, two of them are seniors, and when they have blood work the doctor calls me direct to discuss the results. Also, during the appointments I have never felt rushed, all of my concerns for my dogs are addressed. I can feel how much they care. It means a lot to someone like me, my dogs are my babies! I am very impressed with Mahoning Valley Veterinary Centre.

Took my cat to a different vet a week ago. The guy didnt even look me In the eyes when trying to figure out what what happening to my cat. Over the past week she barely ate...then stopped all together. I panicked called first thing in the morning. They worked her in their already busy schedule. After one day Of treatment from them shes already feeling so much better and being more like herself. Still waiting on blood work but shes a whole new kitty! I couldnt thank this team enough! Sooo happy I did research and found this group!! Love love love this place! Will be bring my dog here soon for his shots. Thank you so much!!
