I took my dog to the Animal Medical Care Center to be boarded for two nights while I was out of town. Upon my arrival to pick him up, I told the receptionist whom I was here for and I waited for 20 minutes before even being addressed. They said someone would get him shortly, and I should pay now. I was charged $15.00 per night for boarding, and $20.00 for a fecal test (this test is done to ensure that dogs do not have parasites which can easily spread to other dogs). After paying, they gave me a copy of the test results, which clearly stated the fecal test was performed and it came back negative. I waited for about 5 more minutes, and still there was no sign of my dog. At this point I became very concerned and asked if I could just get him myself from his kennel. The receptionist agreed and led me back to his kennel. When we got back there, he was not in his kennel! We found him in an exam room being prepped for a rectal stimulation. They told me that they were trying to extract a stool sample for a fecal test which they were "too busy" to do the day he came in, or collect naturally during his three day stay. The most harrowing fact is that I was given FAKE LAB RESULTS from a facility that houses a supposedly licensed veterinarian regarding my dogs fecal test. After confronting the staff assistant upon having to locate my dog in their facility, due to the staff attempting to hide his whereabouts, the assistant admitted that my dog had not been tested at any point during the stay, despite the fact my dog was to be tested upon entry to the facility to isolate any health issues being passed between the animals. Not only was this facility attempting to charge me for a test that was not performed, but was attempting to perpetuate a fraud upon not only me and my dog, but the rest of the animals and owners who were in the facilitys care. The explanation for the lack of a test? The owner claimed the facility was understaffed. If this is the case, then the facility should not take on more animals than it can handle, and certainly should not be forging medical documents that could have severe health impacts on the animals in its care. One should think twice before ever considering leaving their animal at this place. More importantly, those who have left their animals at this facility should seriously consider getting a veterinary checkup on their beloved pets as soon as practicable. There is no telling how deep this fraud could go. Ill be keeping a close eye on my dog for days to come, and plan on updating this post if he continues to show signs of sickness due to his stay at Animal Medical Care Center.

After taking my dog here to get neutered, he brought Kennel Cough into my home. Now 4 out of 9 dogs have it in my home. Dr. singh tried to deny that my dog had contracted this at his practice and I had 3 other vets confirm that there was no other way he could of got it. First Singhs wanted to say it wasnt kennel cough, then he tried to say it was MY fault for not vaccinating him, when mind you my dog who is in fact vaccinated now has it, then moved on to say its probably some other respitory infection. He gave me the longest run around when all I wanted was my money refunded. then he offered me free heart guard, as if that would help my dogs coughing. After and all day battle he finally gave me free antibiotics. a dog should not go to the vet for a neuter and come home sick. Absolutely horrible and the way he treated me was even atrocious. He seems to lack all morals and regard for animal life. Had he just refunded me I could of let this all go, but I will not allow this to happen to another persons loved pet. Do not go here.

Stay away from this dirty facility. Here is a quick summary. Five years ago they almost killed my dog by a botched neuter procedure. I came back years later to pick up my friends pet and the place was even dirtier than before. Front desk greater stated "When I get busy I dont worry about the customers. I dont want to miss any money". Another front desk woman was cursing at other employees while a young child (8-10 years of age) was sitting right there. Those are just a few examples. Here is a break down on the service and facility. Scale used is 1-10. The high-end of the scale is 10. Customer Service-2 (someone did apologize) Cleanliness-2 Care of pets-1 Post surgery care instructions-8 Pricing-I can not rate Timely service-1 Post surgery cleanliness of animal incision point-1 Overall appearance, cleanliness, customer service, quality of care-1. Good instruction where provided that was the only positive.

I have been taking my dog to this vet for years and they were pretty good, until recently. My dog had an emergency and I called after hours I was greeted very rudely on the phone and when I told them what was going on I was told they would forward everything to the vet and I should expect a call. As my dog got worse and after more than 30 minutes I called back and when they realized that I had already called they were extremely rude and proceeded to tell me that if I do not hear anything from the vet in 30 minutes to take him to the animal hospital in Girard. Thankfully my dog was okay and I took him to the hospital in Girard. However the vet did not call me back until the next day. I am extremely dissatisfied and I am looking for a new vet. Please take your animals to someone who actually cares about them!

I would not recommend Canfield Animal Medical Care Center. We took our cat there as he wasnt eating, had a temperature and losing weight rapidly. Blood work was taken an we were told he was just constipated. The cat kept getting worse after 7 visits we took our cat to another vet (had to pay for another blood test as Canfield Animal Medical Care Center refused to give us medical records). Our cat was properly diagnosed & put on steroids & strong antibiotics. Sadly we lost our cat as we were late in the diagnosis. Canfield Animal Medical Care Center really dropped the ball! Our loss is their gain$$$

Bandit has been going to the Animal Medical Care Center for routine care since I adopted him 18 months ago. He is an eight-pound yorkiepoo, happy and healthy. Whether it has been for neutering surgery, routine check-ups, or whether Im just going into the office by myself to pick up routine flea and tick preventative medications, Dr. Singh and all staff members Ive interacted with have been kind, competent, and professional with me and my dog. I live out-of-state for part of the year, but when Im in Ohio will continue to use AMMC, and would highly recommend them to others.

Staff is not very friendly but I only ever encountered 2. The veterinaryins were both very nice. But the woman was the one that seemed to care about Pet and really take an interest. The male did his job but seemed to be in more of a rush to get to the next pet. They are small offices with very small rooms. I have since taken my pet to the vet I used to use and they checked the vaccine records and there were some meds given that werent necessary and some not enough! So all in all I wouldnt recommend.
