Best vet in the area--bar none. Theyve seen our pets through the whole shebang--puppy hood through sad partings due to old age. Exceptional, caring, professional, knowledgeable doctors; Dr. Whittaker provided a diagnosis and successful treatment for a hormone-related issue for one of my dogs that had eluded over a half dozen vets before, thereby drastically improving my dogs remaining years (and by proxy, the quality my familys life as well). These folks are not just animal medical providers, they are advocates for pets and caring owners, assisting their patients and their patients owners with best practice-based treatments that balance the needs of pet and family alike. The new facility on Snapdragon Court (just past the Ace Hardware on Hwy. 76, on the right, as youre leaving Chapin) is state of the art--in terms of surgical wards, kennels, and exam rooms.

By far the rudest people we have ever spoken to about our pets. We have a flea problem that we are trying to handle and simply called them with questions and was basically told that I was incompetent. They did nothing to help me other than try to shove their "over the counter treatment" down my throat after I repeatedly told them that I have tried those products and they dont work. Then after I was told I was taking care of my pets "wrong" they proceeded to hag up on me, still without answering a single one of my questions. WORST PLACE EVER TO SPEAK WITH ABOUT YOUR ANIMALS.

Its been years now but Ill never forget that this clinic turned me and my deathly ill dog away because we werent "good" clients. (Good as in coming in for overpriced vaccines and mediocre care from the female owner who disrespected me repeatedly. We came in when he had a problem only BECAUSE of this!) They told us that over the phone and even sent us a letter after he died at the emergency room. I could never, nor will I ever, recommend them.

Over the years I have had several pets and Dr Laabs and her staff have ALWAYS been there and done a great job. Compassionate, caring , loving are just a few of the traits that come to mind. Up to date with the latest in medical care for your pets. All of the Drs are awesome. I dont think the folks of Chapin and surrounding area could choose a better facility.

New to the area and had a slight emergency with one of our dogs. They worked me right in, were super nice and treated our little baby with the utmost care. It was a great experience for the both of us. We have found a new Vet and are absolutely thrilled!

I would rate it a definite 5. I have taken 4 dogs to them over the years (2 are current). The front desk staff are very personable and efficient and the doctors are top notch. I have never had a problem with any of them. They are very accommodating.
