Focal Pointe Eye Care is truly "an eye care experience like none other." I have been a patient for 3+ years and I can honestly say Dr. Lyons and his amazing staff changed my life. I am no stranger to vision centers as I have been in corrective lenses for 20+ years and have a variety of eye issues, the most recent of which is keratoconus. I was diagnosed with this cornea condition in 2010 and spent a long four years at multiple eye offices, seeing various eye specialists and being fitted with almost every type of contact lens possible. My days were spent with red, achy eyes and constantly taking out my contacts and putting in eye drops. I could only drive during the day and social events were a struggle as my eyes were so uncomfortable and my condition prevented me from being able to see with glasses. When I learned about Dr. Lyons and Focal Pointe Eye Care in 2014, I made an appointment and hoped for the best. He was known for working with "hard-to-fit eyes" and had a variety of specialty contacts. It had been a long four years and I was willing to try anything. As soon as I stepped into FPEC, I felt a huge sense of relief. The warm welcome, attention to detail, the friendly staff and impeccably clean office blew me away. This is before I had even met Dr. Lyons and his wife, Liz, who is the Patient Care Manager. Thats how important patients are to FPEC! Dr. Lyons took the time to listen to my struggles and concerns. He was very precise when taking my measurements and evaluating my vision. We went with scleral lenses for my eyes and they have made a world of difference. While it took a few follow-up appointments to ensure we had the right fit, it was well worth the time because I am able to see so much clearer and am in a lens that is far more comfortable compared to where I had been previously. I appreciate that Dr. Lyons and his team take a methodical approach and are so detail-oriented in my appointments. I always feel like I am in great hands and have confidence in what they say. Thanks to Dr. Lyons and the FPEC staff, I actually look forward to my annual eye appointments and any of the necessary follow-ups. They have created a place of welcoming and make you feel like part of the FPEC family.

I LOVED THIS PLACE!!! everybody there is soooooo kind, and have pretty good patience. Yes, even in the morning!!! I was so scared when I first entered, but once they started talking to me, I started to calm down, and show a smile :D I feel that they have great service for sure! Once you get your eyes checked like if special eye drops were put into them, they care about your safety that they will give you some special awesome sun glasses, so that the bright light (especially outside) doesnt harm them. They dont just help your eyes though. Another positive thing about them. They know information about your eyelids what can grow on it, and how to get rid of them like for ex: a stye. They even know information AROUND your eye. It doesnt have to be EXACTLY your eye ball. They gave me a test of reading letters through a mirror covering one eye and then the other. I thought it was very creative! If you ask me, Id say that Focal Pointe Eye Care is the place to go if you need care for your eye or info about it. It literally cannot get any better! When I walked in my father and I were greeted with a smile and an amazing attitude from the secretary. There was a bowl of chocolate mints and regular mints, a kuerig coffee machine with creamer and sweetener (my favorite part!) And a mini fridge filled with soda and water in the waiting room. When the nurse performed the tests she was SO nice and explained everything. Very knowledgeable. When the Dr. Lyons came in I was amazed at how nice and friendly he was, the staff all seem to thoroughly enjoy their jobs! He told me I have astigmatism in both eyes and I picked out a nice pair of frames and they were ordered! Dr. Lyons is very knowledgeable about what he does and they are absolutely thorough with the tests they perform. Dont even consider another eye doctor, just look at the reviews! This place is awesome.

Focal Pointe Eye Care is the best! Prior to going to Dr. Lyons, I had gone to the same eye doctor since I was a small child--for over 30 years. I didnt trust anyone with my eyes because my prescription is so challenging (extreme nearsightedness with astigmatism). After a referral from a friend, I went to see him, and Im so glad I did! He and his staff are top notch, extremely professional AND knowledgable. I love their office and the technology they use to make sure your vision is the top priority. My daughter now sees him, too, and with his expertise in corneal reshaping she now is 20/20 with the use of special lenses at night. I hope our family can stay with Dr. Lyons and his team for at least 30 years, too!

Very friendly and professional practice here. I brought my 3 year old in for an eye exam and concerns I had with his vision. The waiting room was open, had a specific room just for children to play, and my wait was minimal if any at all. Dr. Lyons and his assistant were extremely nice and put my son at ease and made him feel like the process was fun and harmless (which it was). I will say however that its evident after my wife and Is visit, that they like to find ways to make some extra money. Scheduling unnecessary follow-up appointments to get your co-pay or executing procedures that are only covered under medical insurance etc. Its happened enough that I really do have to question it.

Dr. Lyons and his staff go above and far beyond when it comes to patient care and customer service. I have been a patient of Dr. Lyons for nearly 6 years. I began to see Dr. Lyons to treat my chronic issues with iritis. From my understanding, he is one of the few physicians in this area who can handle this condition. For me, he is the only one I would trust to treat me. Also, it wasnt a difficult decision to have Focal Pointe handle all of my eye care needs. Lastly, he will be treating my son and daughter. They say that your eyes are the windows to the world, so why take the chance of placing something as precious as your vision to just anyone?

I have never had a more wonderful experience to an eye doctor. My last doctor simply told me I needed +125 readers, i used them for a while and my vision only got worse. I was referred to fep and they are simply put AMAZING. They have a roomy office nice employes, No pressure to buy type store (something that just is not around anymore). Once my vision test results came back i found I had double astigmatism,Call me what you will but once every thing was in focus and I could see clearly... I started to cry not knowing that my vision was so bad. I will never choose another Doctor to trust my vision with.
