Some of the worst people I have met. As soon as you walk in they all stare at you and say nothing. I go up and talk to them and 3 people at once have to be listening why I am there not the one lady in front of me so I feel no privacy. Along with that they all seem mad all the time, I have met only one pretty cool person and that was the guy who did my X-Rays. I came in today for back pain (cause I have scoliosis and wasnt sure if I had a doctor still because I needed to reapply for insurance recently) and my pain was a 8.5-9 is what I told them and the doctor treating me said "Oh you probably just slept wrong im not gonna do nothing about that" and proceeded to the other reason why I was there. The other reason was because I was coughing up blood, I go get xrays and they come back and say there is nothing big but I have a virus blah blah blah. So im like okay, nothing too big to worry about. My work didnt want me to come in today because I was sick so i asked him for a doctors note and he said "What for two to three weeks? Thats how long itll last. If so then your job with fire you haha." And it was pretty much done after that I didnt say nothing figured it out with work and didnt get a note. I gave a paper to my work stating that I went to the ER and it was for back pain and a virus (it wasnt a note it was what they gave me for myself) simply stating I was there. So my Manager says I need a release form just because I went in for lower back pain. I call them and they secretary transfers me 4 times and I finally get to someone just for them to tell me if I want the note I have to drive all the way back over there to get it. After I asked if she could fax it to my work for me. So I ended up not getting a release and had to figure that out with my work too. Thankful I have a great job but this hospital does nobody good. The only appreciation I have for them is I was born there other then that, some of the darkest and rudest people I have ever met.

Have had a negative experience with their billing. I have never encountered such unorganized and confusing billing. Even their representatives dont understand it. They like to call you before a procedure and extort money out of you even before it has gone to insurance. They give you no time to pay your bill and have overcharged me and other family members on several occasions. No one I have ever talked to likes or cares for Good Samaritan especially when it comes to the way they bill. Ive dealt with many other medical clinics and have had no where near the problems I have encountered with Samaritan. The doctors and staff are usually wonderful except the night I spent at the Albany Samaritan Hospital after a thyroidectomy. I was placed in a room with an elderly woman who had no idea where she was at. Hospital staff came in all hours of the night to make sure this poor woman didnt escape. Every time they walked past my bed they would bump it and woke me up, then I was told that I needed to get some rest. Kind of hard to get rest with all the noise and jostling. I had a huge migraine after surgery and could get nothing for the pain until a very sweet night nurse came in and asked if I was okay and if I needed anything. This was after they cut medical staff to save money. Would not recommend anyone to use this place unless they absolutely have to. I really have no choice since this is the valley and there are no competitors, which is why I think Samaritan doesnt even try. The CEO and whoever else created their system should be fired and shamed for their incompetence. Some good Staff and Doctors bad administration. Too bad because they could be great but they are not. Theyre the worst!

My dad was taken to Albany General during the ice we had on the roads recently. It wasnt safe for the ambulance to to to Corvallis, where we were most familiar with the hospital and doctors. I was concerned after the reviews Id read online, but was enormously impressed with the care he has received and the constant communication with his doctors and nurses. Between my different family members medical needs I have been in the caretaker position many, many times over the last 30 years and am VERY familiar with multiple hospitals. I feel my dads care was the best he could have received for his condition. They were very on top of running every test needed, yet prudent on rushing to surgery when he likely is high risk for survival if it comes to that. They have kept me informed every step of the way and respected my wishes along with their professional opinion. All staff has treated him with care and dignity, even when his state of dementia made it pretty difficult for them. I want to thank the doctors, nurses, CNAs, therapists and all staff who are taking such good care of him.

Disorganized!! Lack of communication with patients Dr and nursing staff!! Very un professional and lack of competence in staff. Having an appointment at 6am for my wife to be induced we called beforehand like we were advised to we were told to wait until 7am then call in so we did . We were told to come down that they were ready for us. We get there they had no record of us coming in. We were admitted put in a room at the very end of the birthing center was told they couldnt get started do to "other stuff going on" exact words that they want us here but we will have to take things slow. We waited over an hour in the room mean while I see nursing staff walking around laughing and carrying on while my 9month pregnant wife is sitting half naked in a gown and no one came and talked with us. After a little over an hour a nurse came in and said sorry we are not ready for you there is someone else "who might be in labor so we need the room go home we will call you when we are ready might be an hour might be 3 hours might be tomorrow" extremely disappointed.

My experience was TERRIBLE! I came back to the E.R. because the clinic on Geary street that I was referred to, did not contact me back. I went in for lower back pain. The first visit they gave great care, but when I came back I seen this Dr. Russel McUne and he was so disrespectful, annoyed, and had terrible bedside manor. He refused to look at my chart, and when I got upset that I was tired of telling the same story over and over, and asked if everyone was in the room that needed to hear it, He just walked off. I have never been so mistreated in my life. He basically called me a drug addict, looking for meds by saying that "he" knew what it was and muscle relaxers work for it. I tried to tell him I was recently diagnosed with Kidney cancer...so He wanted more tests done. This doctor is the most incompitant, and impatient doctor I have ever witnessed in my 26 year career as a nurse. I walked out, told them I would go somewhere else.
