Ive waited a few days before posting my review, originally I was angry and I dont want my review to sound like Im ranting, but I believe more honest reviews are needed on here, my husband works for a union and most of us are requesting to have Keiser be removed as part of our health benefits. However today they did it again. On Monday I got a reminder for my appointment for today at 8am. I come in and they tell me I have no such appoinment. Really after the fiasco they put me through a few weeks ago and now this? A few weeks ago I had made a follow up appoinment, requested by one of my doctors based on the time and date of my new appoinment, I proceeded to make travel plans for myself and 3 other managers at my new job. I am the general field manager for a high profile company, I needed to present a set of new training guidelines and deal with some HR issues in a different state. One day prior to my appoinment I was called and told my appointment was for that Thursday not that Tuesday like I had originally planned and was told by the person whom I had made the appoinment with. Usually Im pretty flexible and in the past when Kaiser has changed my appoinments or my sons therapist doesnt make it in its ok but this time I tried to explain to Tarra and several others whom I was transferred to, that the new time and date would simply not work for me, and every single one just sounded annoyed and even seem very unapologetic for their mistake and even unwilling to hear how this was going to affect my job and why I needed to travel that Wednesday night so a Thursday appoinment was not possible.. (Keep in mind this was a time sensitive appoinment or so I was told by my doctor whom I now dont believe bc according to this department that was not true, and I was told I could do this test anytime that week) "Alex" the department manager whom I was transferred to after speaking to 3 other people decided to hang up on me instead of even trying to resolve my issue, I then called the number on the back of my card and spoke with a much more professional lady whom after speaking to such Alex the manager from the imagine department suggested how to make a formal complaint. I imagine her experience with him must have been just as negative as it was with me. People like Alex whom cant handle simple basic customer service should not hold positions as managers of anything. I understand things happen I understand doctors and nurses have lives too. However do they understand that so do I? Just dont lie to me dont make it sound that this appoinment needed to be exactly 11 days and make me take antibiotics 2 days before if its all as irrelevant as the other Keiser members made it out to be. Be kind to the patient, we understand what we are told, but if soo many different departments say different things and no one is on the same page then we lose trust and in my case I now walk in questioning the ability of every single one of your employees. If you have the ability to go to a different provider outside of the Keiser facilities. Do so!

I went into the ER on a Sunday, I was told it was very busy that day but I couldnt tell by the way they treated me. I was attended to quickly, given great care and the doctor even went as far as to call my out of network specialist doctor for information on my condition. During my 12 day stay I will admit that it didnt all go perfect; there was a procedure that didnt go well and some nurses I didnt care for; however, the other doctors and nurses far exceeded any standard I had and made up for it. I had multiple nurses cry with me, share their experiences with me and treat me more like a friend they were caring for than a random patient. I met so many doctors while there which was confusing at times but it really showed how much they cared and wanted to make sure I had all the support I needed. I had a condition that very few people were familiar with but they all took the time to listen to me, learn from me as well as do research and read my chart. They didnt made assumptions and most importantly they always listened. To make my experience even better I got a card in the mail today from some of my nurses. They all wished me well, thanked me for allowing them to care for me and even referenced conversations we had during my stay! Wow! I would recommend the NW Kaiser network to anyone and am forever the biggest fan of the Westside Medical Center.

I went in for a horrible stomach flu. It was so bad I was throwing up blood and couldnt keep down water. They kept me in the waiting room for 2 hours (an empty waiting room), then everything I tried to leave they told me someone would be right down. I was an emotional wreck. Finally I was taken to the back where I was told to change and theyd give me an i.v. for fluids and a blanket. I was left alone, they never returned for either. Ive never felt more neglected in any way before. Especially when I felt I was going to die from how horrible my body felt. Emergency room? Ha! Would have been seen faster at the d.m.v. My advice? If youre sick? If youre bleeding? Go elsewhere. This emergency room sucks.

I went to the Emergency room last night and it was an amazing experience start to finish. My last experience in an emergency room was at a different facility 5 years ago, I ended up in the waiting room for 14 hours before being seen. When I came to the conclusion I needed to be seen yesterday I was expecting another similar experience. I couldnt have been more wrong. Within 1 hour of arriving they did my intake, completed labs, did a CT scan, and had it read. Everything was fine (which was a relief) but the efficiency this facility operates at is staggering. All the staff were outstanding I couldnt have been more impressed. Thank you for a very positive experience, I really appreciate it!

Kaiser foundation certainly treats their employees well. They get a lot of time off and excellent pay and benefits. I have yet to encounter a Kaiser provider at their job who wont be happy and smiling. Its really a treat. So, why only one star? Because there seems to be one thing missing and thats high level of medical expertise. None of the medical providers seems to keep up with new research not to even mention performing any research themselves. This is a place when you can get simple routine work done with a smile, but you better not get seriously sick. All you may get in that case is just that pretty smile.

My experience was sad! Our 83 year old "roomie", was experiencing lung discomfort not breathing well. & experiencing a very swollen right leg! Dr Ryan from Tualatin suggested Strongly that we head for Hillsboro to get him checked for DVT! The Dr was correct, he had blood clots in his lungs & right leg! From the moment we arrived they knew we were coming, took him immediately back & with in two hours had a diagnosis! Checked him into a room a bit late ( probably waiting for an available room)! We got first rate service & care! Quite Grateful! Renee aka Bobs roomie!
