I find some of the reviews a little bizarre... I would certainly ask if the vet can do rabbits before I made an appointment as these are not common pets. I have no particular negative experiences with the reception staff but find them generally to be busy... Expensive??? Not at all, Alpine is one of the most reasonable vet hospitals in Corvallis. Many vets push services until you push back. Jake the dog had a chipped tooth, the response was that it appeared to not be causing a problem, so no anithesia or expensive grind job oh, and a cleaning. Very reasonable, very kind to my dog and gentle...

I moved to Corvallis in 2013 with an 11-year old dog. Within a few months, I discovered a tumor and needed to find a vet quickly. Friends recommended Alpine and I could not be happier with my experiences there. Dr. Clark saved my dogs life (at least I think so). He is kind and compassionate and is always willing to talk directly to my veterinarian family members about treatments. I could not have asked for a better experience. As my dog gets older and less mobile, Dr. Clark is realistic with me about treatments that consider quality of life and expense for an older dog.

Ive had some major health emergencies with my dog, and Alpine Animal Hospital has always come through for us. Even on days where they were booked up, they managed to squeeze us in for quick visits. The only reason I dont rate them higher is because they are really expensive. Every time I go in, there are always complaints from the customers that they are expensive. Worse still, they try to push things on you that you could easily get for half the price as an over-the-counter thing. Dont be afraid to ask about alternatives that could be cheaper.

Ive had great service here, and really like the vets. Ive used them for my two aging cats, and they have handled all of our weird issues with great care and compassion. Weve seen Dr. Porter and Dr. Hixson, and they are both excellent. They dont try to sell you on expensive care choices, but do make everything you need available. I find the reception staff, all of whom seem to also be vet techs, to be very friendly and helpful, and I can always get an appointment when I need one. And theyre open Saturday morning!

I adore Alpine Animal Hospital and have taken my pets there since 1992. The vets are kind, skilled, knowledgeable, give reasonable recommendations and they are reasonable in cost. In reading some of the reviews from 6-7 years ago where people were displeased with reception service, my comment would be to go back again. There are staff changes over time and at that time there was someone who was not the most courteous. It really is a top rate vet practice!

Have been taking our pets to Alpine since they were babies (five years now). We have worked with a number of different vet and have had a great experience with all of them. They are thoughtful, generous with their time, and have always been great about answering my questions when Im trying to make decisions about procedures. Customer service has also always been amazing. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

I have taken our dog, Juicy, to Alpine for problems, shots, etc. since we bought her in 2003. Not once have I felt poorly treated or maligned. Juicy has received excellent care from the vets and techs and I expect she will continue to receive excellent care from Alpine Animal Hospital into the future. Regards, Michael

I am disappointed that I was not told my vet was a not a small animal specialist before I saw her with my rabbit. Yes, I should have asked, but still. Also, these guys are ridiculously expensive. I havent been to that many places, so I dont have much to compare with, but I just paid $54 for an inconclusive appointment.

I have been taking my dogs to Alpine for a number of years and have always been treated with care and courtesy. In addition to being professional, compassionate, and competent, they also have reasonable rates. I am thankful to have such a great vet in our area.

I called to make an appointment for two of my dogs. The receptionist was not professional and rude, to say the least. I schedule new appointments with a different vet with better customer service. I wont go back to Alpine. Too bad becasue I like the vet.

Been going to this place over 10 years. Have noticed the past couple of years they often push lab testing, which is expensive. As a health care professional myself, I understand its important to do testing--but wow is it costing me an arm and a leg.

I have been to several vets in Corvallis, and Alpine is by far the most affordable, the most realistic about treatments, and also very compassionate. They dont try to oversell services to you and have worked me into last minute appointments.

Alpine has taken care of my familys cats, dogs, rabbits, horses and goats for years, always in a compassionate, professional and accommodating manner (when my daughter was little, Dr. Hixson even operated on her pet rat -- at no charge).

The Doctors and technicians are all top notch. Pricing is reasonable. It can be hard to know when to let go, and I am thankful for their honesty, and expertise.

Like the country vet of my childhood. Caring and compassionate, rates are very reasonable. In business for over 40 years.
