You will not be sorry!! -- Ive had a lot of pets and seen a lot of vets in my day. Besides the now retired Jim Jordan, I have not ever had a clinic that treats me and my two golden retievers like family. Three years ago we found that my old golden developed lung cancer and had to eventually be put down. He was diagnosed in November 2008 and by January 2009 he could no longer eat, breath or sleep. The staff at West Hills helped me through every step of the process. They gave me options, which fit my buget, options that were way out of my budget, but options nonetheless. At every turn I felt supported, without judgement, with love and care. I had the honor of having Dr. Amsberry perform a final act of love and care when we had to put Buddy down. Not terribly long after the loss of Buddy, I came in with two golden littermates for their first checkup. That was three and a half years ago and they chomp at the bit to get to go to the vet!!! If you are looking for a new vet, or just want to check things out, do yourself a favor, stop by, say hi and see what the rest of us already know. They are the best. Check em out!

Fantastic service, want to make this my permanent vet even though its kind of a ways from home. My dog had a chipped tooth and my vet in Albany doesnt do dental service or have someone come in. Dr. Remcho saw us for a free consultation and explained everything in detail. She scheduled us with Dr. Van for a root canal. Dr. Van who is the local specialist, does dental surgeries on Wednesdays there and works at various other vet hospitals in the local area. I just felt comfortable there. My dog really does not like vet offices, but Dr. Remcho gave her treats and took time to make her feel comfortable, even the tech at the front desk, Eva, I think gave her treats. They also responded to all my emails and phone calls quickly. Dr. Remcho personally called during Maizys root canal to let me know she was doing okay. Although it was a very expensive day - dental procedures are not cheap - they did throw in a free cleaning and a free followup appointment.

I am so grateful for all the excellent customer service and health care I receive at West Hills Animal Hospital. Sue went above and beyond in organizing and planning Hannahs appointments. Brooke is always so patient in listening to every detail I feel is important regarding Hannahs health. Dr. Julianne Vickstrom is awesome! She is very connected to my Hannah. I can see it in the way she speaks to her so sweetly and gently. She genuinely cares about Hannah. Dr. Vickstrom makes herself available to me through email at all times.... and really enjoys the photos and videos and stories about Hannah. Dr. Vickstrom offers excellent solutions and very respectful of my finances. I feel very confident having Hannah under the care of Dr. Vickstrom. I just recommended West Hills and Dr. Vickstrom to a friend that has an African Grey and a Cockatoo, Thank you for being there for Hannah and myself!

I have never had such an amazing veterinary experience. I have always had rabbits, and care in various places is patchy at best, usually with vets just taking a guess at what is wrong and more often than not causing more harm than help. West Hills has an amazing staff, with doctors actually trained specifically about rabbits. My little guy got amazing care, never seemed stressed out, and every step of the way the vet was there, talking to me about the problems with my bunny and our options in care. The doctor even called several days in a row to check on how my rabbit was recovering. She remembered all the details of his care and was completely on board with the decisions I made in terms of his medication. Never, ever consider going anywhere else. West Hills Animal Hospital is THE place for veterinary care.

Great Clinic, Friendly and Professional. I took my leopard gecko here after he got very sick. They were very helpful and followed up, making sure I didnt have any issues further down the line, and he fully healed. The vet who took care of my lizard was a bit odd, and she gave him pain medication instead of antibiotics when he CLEARLY needed antibiotics, told me to come back in 2 days, and then they gave him antibiotics. I think they need to keep in mind that each visit costs a lot of money, and a large portion of Corvallis is made up of college students (including me!). He could very well have been seen in 2 visits total, not 3. However, the service was good, and they are the only clinic with an exotic vet in regularly.

West Hills has provided, hands down, the best veterinary care that my animals (dog and cat) have received anywhere. I recently moved away from Oregon and I miss the quality care that they provided. The entire staff is wonderful. They are compassionate, caring, and treat the animals (and owners) with so much respect. As an example, my dog does not like to be restrained--she growls, tries to break free, etc. Other vets would muzzle her. West Hills was able to work around her, examined her on the ground, didnt push her past her limit--I was always thoroughly impressed with how they accommodated her. And she always loved the treats! You cant go wrong bringing your loved ones into West Hills. I surely miss them!

I see Dr. Yuko Eguchi-Coe, who recently helped me through the trauma of having a cat with pancreatic cancer that metastasized to the rest of her body. Yuko emailed me back and forth daily, even in her time off, and went out of her way to try to help me and my kitty. She went in and got us medications in her off time while the office was closed, and saw us after hours because that was the only time we could make it. And when it was time to let the poor kitty go, she was so understanding and supportive of the process. She went above and beyond to help us and our poor kitty. I have had nothing but good experiences with this office and their amazing staff!

This is, hands down, the best veterinary clinic Ive ever been to. Ive taken many of my animals there for care and have always been impressed not only by their knowledgeable and highly qualified staff but also by how much they personally care about each animals feelings and comfort levels as well as the comfort levels of the pet owners. Im also impressed with the variety of animals they treat. Ive had a hard time in the past trying to find good quality veterinary care for my rabbits so its been quite a relief to have finally found a clinic I can trust to take them to as well as my other animals. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I have been to vets from one end of this country to the other and this is by far the best experience I have ever had. We had a kitten with a genetic heart condition and they tenderly helped me care for him and then guided me in knowing when it was time to let him go. Their tenderness during this difficult time was extraordinary. Dr. Amsberry and all his staff treat both animals and their owners with respect and compassion. It has always been clear to me that everyone at West Hills Animal Hospital is there because they love the animals that we love. What a gift that is to their patients and their owners!
