I took my Dog in for a spade. I politely asked if I could pick her up by 4:30 pm. I was told that would be fine. I called twice during the day to check on her. When I returned at 5 pm to pick her up, the woman at the front counter prepared the paperwork and asked for my payment. I politely said "I would like to see my Dog please". She said, "Well, we finish paperwork and payment prior to releasing the Dog.". I replied, " I understand that, but I would l really like to see my Dog first". The interim Vet brought the Dog out and began yelling at me for being rude to her staff. I said, "Im sorry, I just wanted to see my dog first, I never meant to offend anyone by asking." The interim vet began shouting at me that I was the rudest client she had ever had, and that I had NO right whatsoever to demand seeing my dog prior to payment." After listening to this verbal attack, I said "Please do not speak to my like I am a child". She then screamed at me to get out of her clinic and never return. I am appalled and shocked over the way I was treated. My 11 year old Son was standing right next to me and this attack by the interim Vet made him cry. He was very traumatized by this. We emailed and called a few times requesting that my Wife bring the Dog in to have her sutures removed. We were hung up on, yelled and and ultimately threatened if we were to come back to the clinic. We had no option but to pay another clinic to remove the sutures. We have consulted with an Attorney and have been advised to file a small claims action against this clinic for the money we are now out. I have NEVER in my life been treated so poorly. We are very active within the pet community around Cornelius and Forest Grove. We have heard similar stories about this clinic. This is not the first time they have treated a Customer with disrespect. I highly recommend you do not take your pet to this clinic. VERY POOR SERVICE, AND VERY HIGH PRICED!! TAKE YOUR PET TO A CLINIC THAT CARES!!!

I had been a customer at the Companion Pet in Forest Grove for 22 years. In the last few years, they have fired every one of their really good people and the care has been poor. When I picked up our cat who has a broken leg, and who I would be caring for over a weekend, until she went to a referred vet surgeon on Monday, the staff person who released her told me that she had had a long term pain medication, so you wont need anything else. She seemed very unsure and after asking her if she could check with the vet as I would have the kitty all weekend and it was a broken leg, I needed to be sure she would be properly medicated. She then changed her mind (after Id paid) and said that Id need to buy a pain medication. From what I could tell, the old office staff is now trying (hard) to do the tech work. I later received a letter with all of our animals files (many years) and that they were not our vet any more. Leaving us without a vet nearby, in the middle of a long recouperation period for our cat. I had no clue why this occurred, so left messages twice to be called. No return call. I sent a letter and it was returned. What a way to do business. Take the money and run I guess. I can no longer endorse, or recommend this vet hospital and in fact, would recommend that you try ANYWHERE else before taking your loved pet to this hospital. I also never went to this vet because of price. The prices have proven higher than even the ER vet I went to in the middle of the night one time. Low cost isnt everything. I called because my sick dog wasnt getting any better on the course of treatment prescribed by this clinic, in fact her condition had worsened considerably after several days. The staff told me Dr. wanted to see her again and that it was fine to come in any time. When I got there about two hours later, I was told the vet was too busy with back-to-back surgeries to see me. She would, however, keep my dog in the back room to examine her between surgeries and I could pick her up several hours later. My dog had already been diagnosed with a contagious illness by this same veterinarian, so I dont understand why she wanted to take her back to where she was performing surgeries. That is a big red flag for me. And, since my dog was getting sicker by the day, of course I wanted to be present for an exam to ask questions and provide important information about her symptoms. I guess you get what you pay for. It seems that things are too rushed at this clinic and some corners are being cut here. The majority of the staff is quite rude and unprofessional. I will happily pay more somewhere else for better care and a professional, courteous staff.

I have worked with both Drs at FG for over 15 years and been very happy with the care for all my pets, shelties and cats. And my clients dogs in emergency. The staff is very friendly and accomadating. I refer all my friends and clients there, the staff works long , hard hours with many demanding clients, I am amazed at how calm they stay and caring. day after day , with so many people forgetting their manners. Looking at the negative posts, I am upset, I have heard clients stand in the office and threaten the staff with poor reviews if they do not get free care. Or exactly what they want, right now! ignore those reviews. If a client gets thrown out the office THEY DESERVED IT. I have a 15 plus history of fine assistance with my pets. and will be returning. I have found them the easiest clinic to work with.

We took our minature schnauzer in because he was in pain while walking they checked him out did ex-ray and told us to change his food he was constipated. Different food and still his pain got worse. Months later after changing his food many times. Husband said to take him someplace else....kindness pet clinic checked him out and his back leg was out of joint, because so much time passes his cartilage was worn down, lost all muscle on leg....we had to have it operated on...$3100 and he can walk with out pain finally. If this had been found earlier this particular operation would not have been needed and the pain wouldnt have lasted for a year.

Best vet ever! We took our dog and cats to them for the 4 years we lived in Forest Grove. We really miss them now that weve moved. They truly go above and beyond to make sure the pet gets the best care possible, but are also very sensitive to cost issues. They are always careful to provide options. We felt like we were being treated as individuals in a specific situation, not just given cookie cutter recommendations. The office staff is great. Dr. MIchelle is also a very skillful surgeon. Five stars.
