Ive been a patient at this clinic for several years and have watched their customer service go steadily down hill. Dr. Garber has been my primary doctor, and i love her, but she is always booked out ridiculous amounts of time, so I generally have to settle for her NP, Barbara Foulke. Ive had numerous less than pleasant visits with Barbara and honestly cant believe she is still employed. Shes remarkably rude and her ineptitude when it comes to filling out documents, such as HR paperwork, is unbelievable. Her lack of professionalism has discouraged me from recommending this clinic to anyone. As much as I like my primary doctor, I will be switching so that I wont have the misfortune of dealing with Barbara again. Their receptionists also leave much to be desired. Often they have also been rude and less than accommodating. The hold times are ridiculous and when they do finally answer, youre lucky if they dont hang up on you when they are attempting to transfer you or put you on hold. All in all, I wouldnt recommend this clinic to anyone. Unfortunately, there arent a lot of options in the area.

I changed my primary care Dr to Salem Clinic, Dr McLaughlin in March. i wasnt sure of his concern for me at the initial visit in March, and now received a letter saying he is no longer able to be a primary care Dr. In the initial visit which was to be my annual physical exam, Paid by my insurance, he allowed that since I had a previous Commercial Drivers License exam paid by myself, he could pass on the exam. Then I had to ask for blood draw to be worked up. I had to wait for one hour and thirty minutes for that. I think I would limit my use of Salem Clinic to urgency care, and them be skeptical.

Merits its reputation, but clearly not many alternatives. Mainly staffed by medical assistants--which Oregon does not require to be either trained or licensed, unlike other states in which Ive lived. Unfortunately, good healthcare seems to be the exception today. The MD I saw was competent, but the info she received was mediated by a self-described ditzy MA, and, as an RN, I was glad I have my own knowledge base as at least some protection. Other than the MA, the other staff, including radiology technicians, etc.were very courteous and professional and the facility new and very clean.

I have gotten nothing but kind and compassionate care from the staff at the clinic. Dr. McLaughlin has been my primary care doctor since February and has done a wonderful job for me. Im sad hes leaving the clinic but Im looking forward to seeing what Dr. Carp can do for me. They can be a little slow about returning phone calls, but Im willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on that one since they always seem to be very busy.

For being doctors that deal with OHP and the stress that comes with it they do a pretty good job compared to your average overpaid physician
