Ive been wearing glasses and contacts most of my life and have had many doctors over the years. Dr. Lewis impressed me right from the start. This was probably the most thorough exam Ive ever had. Dr. Lewis really took his time and explained everything he was doing. I never felt rushed and he did tests Ive never had done before. He seems to really care more for the heath of my eyes, than just the prescription for contacts. I think that was ultra important. Prescriptions change but not many take the time to really make sure you have healthy eyes. He made well reasoned recommendations and was able to answers questions about my eyes that no one has quite managed to give a satisfactory answer. His assistants were very knowledgeable about glasses and even give good advice on style. Over all, it was the best eye exam Ive had. I left there feeling great about not only my glasses and contacts, but also about the health of my eyes. I will be recommending him to everyone.

Very friendly helpful folks here at Beaumont Vision. Super spiffy space and the doc is great at explaining everything he does. I havent had an optometrist in over 10 years since my lasik. I work at a desk job and strain my eyes all day staring at a computer screen. They lead me through all the things I needed to get the proper lenses to keep my eyes in better shape longer. They were so nice and great at explaining my options I would highly recommend them to anyone! I cant afford most shop frames despite having insurance but they are supportive and help you to find the right fit even if its not with them. And they will still gladly support you with fittings and any future advice or appointments whether or not you go with an online retailer or them. But if you have the means, I say support this amazing local business!

I dont know if the blonde front desk receptionist had recently had a personal crisis when I came in, or whether extreme unpleasantness is a part of her personality, but frankly, I dont care. I came in to get a copy of my prescription for an exam that had taken place several months earlier. When I came in, she didnt look up, and proceeded to ignore me until Dr. Lewiss assistant came up. Subsequently, she continued to shoot me dirty looks while I waited, and finally, when I told her to have a good day - she looked at me as if I had killed her dog. Woman, believe it or not, I wasnt coming into your office as a personal strike against you. Its a medical office - people come here to spend a lot of money to keep your job. Stop treating people who come through the doors like crap - you dont work in a womens prison anymore.

The Doctor is great. Immediately whisked into hard-sell by the showroom staff after the exam. Overpriced. Surely. Unpleasant. A year later ... No help at all when I required an emergency replacement - ended up going to lenscrafters and spent 1/2 as much and had glasses in 20 minutes. Then went on line to Zennis online and got great glasses for 1/10th the price. Need to work on costumer service.

John Lewis has been my doctor for the past few years and has been very supportive. I just went to progressive lenses and the expectations he set were spot on. I would not hesitate to recommend anyone to his skillful care and the wonderful staff he has working at his shop on Fremont.
