I feel like I hit the local lottery when I found Dr. Bailey! What a wonderful vet. He has a very calming approach to the animals and displays a patience like no other vet Ive met over my many years as a pet owner. He is very responsive to calls, e-mails and general inquiries. He recently performed a minor surgery on my 7 month old puppy. Although I knew my dog was in ‘perfect’ hands---I found myself wanting immediate responses to my questions about his well-being following the procedure. Dr. Bailey responded immediately with a complete detailed summary of the surgery and the recovery. He expected the little guy to go home within a couple hours. As a side note---the incision was so perfect, it was barely noticeable. Ive referred several of my friends to him. Each one raved over his wonderful service/style. Overall, if you are looking for a vet with all the attributes Ive mentioned---hes your guy! You won’t be disappointed!

We love Cedar Mill Veterinary Hospital! The doctors, technicians and staff are wonderful. I took our beloved chocolate lab in to Dr. Bailey because he wasnt keeping his food down, and was in obvious distress. Dr. Bailey did a thorough examination, and determined he had a foreign body in his digestive tract. An x-ray proved this to be the case. Dr. Bailey performed surgery a few hours later, and removed the foreign body (corn on the cob piece wedged in his small intestine). We were given clear instructions on how to take care of our dog post-op. We received the appropriate food and medicine for his recovery when we picked him up post surgery. They called to check up on his progress the next day, and to see if we had any questions. Our dog is doing great and will be back to his high energy ways in no time. I highly recommend Dr. Bailey and the entire Cedar Mill Veterinary Hospital.

We recently moved to Portland and upon requesting recommendations for a veterinary hospital, Cedar Mill came highly recommended by the majority of responses. After 25 years with the same veterinarian in our previous location, I was a bit nervous about the change. That said, we were very impressed by Cedar Mill after completing our pups new patient check-up. A subsequent visit occurred a couple of weeks later as one of our girls was ill. They scheduled us right away and the dr. completed a full exam and diagnosis. They have also followed up to keep tabs on her progress. The staff is very nice and professional. Weve never felt "rushed" through an appointment, nor had any questions go unanswered. My husband and I both highly recommend giving Cedar Mill an opportunity to care for your pets. We believe you will be impressed with their level of care and service.

I love Cedar Mill Veterinary Hospital. Everyone at this office is caring and clearly show they care about you and your pets. From the time Amy answers the phone through the time you meet with your doctor and walk out the door. We have two terriers who are patients of Dr. Bailey. He always gives them thorough exams and makes the boys (and us) feel as though they are the only patients he has. Our dog has allergies and ear issues and had to have a tooth pulled a couple years ago. Dr. Bailey took time to show us photographs of the surgery--more than we would have expected. He has tried numerous treatments for Roger and his allergies to get his itching under control. They are always terrific about refilling prescriptions. The entire staff is so caring and friendly. I would and do recommend CMVH to friends and would not even consider going anywhere else.

Im new to the area and my dog started acting really weird. They were able to get me in right away and were able to diagnose my dog by doing physical tests and no blood work. Dr. White was very nice he walked me through what he was doing and what he was looking for as he did it. He could have done blood work/x-rays and charged me a ton, but he was wonderful. The prices for the office visit and meds were very reasonable (actually way cheaper than going to the doctor myself after insurance) and my dog is doing wonderful! They even called the next day to check up on how she was doing. I plan on making this my dogs vet even after we move out of the Cedar Mill area. I would definitely recommend this vet!

Before moving to this area, a good friend and very intelligent & talented veterinarian took care of my animals. I am a certified professional dog trainer and we both ran animal rescues. You can imagine how spoiled, entitled and picky I became. I have now worked with each of the veterinarians at Cedar Mill and I couldnt be happier. They have assembled a great team of caring and talented professionals and Dr. Rick White (owner).. Well hes in a class by himself! Passionate beyond comparison. A true diagnostician and troubleshooter and funnier than hell! A genuine good soul. I highly recommend these guys. They arent bargain basement and come at a cost but you do get value.

Moving to Oregon 2 years ago, we were nervous to find a new vet for our two beagles and 3 cats. Cedar Mill and Dr. White have certainly gained our trust with our "babies"--most notably with one of our dogs who had to have same day surgery due to a bladder stone blockage. Dr. White sincerely cares for the animals he works with and the outcome of provided treatments- he followed up on the case and got back to us promptly when we had some concerns. Although this may not be the cheapest vet around, I feel like they have competitive rates for the excellent quality of service they have provided to my family.

Dr. White has a tremendous amount of knowledge, experience, common sense and passion for his profession. He takes the time to explain procedures so that individuals with limited medical knowledge can easily understand them. He encourages practical, cost effective solutions that have the greatest opportunity for success. I don’t ever get the feeling that he performs unnecessary tests and surgeries just to generate income for his clinic. I am very pleased with the service that I receive here and would highly recommend Cedar Mill Veterinary Hospital to other pet owners.

Dr. Brown has been taking wonderful care of our two senior dogs for several years, and we are grateful that she has stayed in the neighborhood and joined Cedar Mill Veterinary Hospital. Weve had reason to visit several times recently, and the whole staff at Cedar Mill made us and our pets feel welcome, and handled the transition smoothly and professionally. Dr. Brown also called to check on us a few days later, to make sure all our questions and concerns were addressed. We highly recommend Dr. Brown and Cedar Mill.

It all started with a bump on the leg, then it was a mass cell tumor. After the surgery she just didnt bounce back? she got pneumonia, she lost weight from 18lbs to 13lbs and refused to eat. We took her back 2 times to see the saw bones who said she was "fine?" However she was clearly very hot to the touch and dieing, my wife insisted so they called and we rushed her to the Tanasbourne Emergency Veterinary Clinic, where she spent the longest 4 days of our lives and pulled trough
