I took my dog there for a check up and I was advised that he shoud get a series of shots within one week (not necessary by the way as it turns out). Without telling me, in addition to the cost of the shot, they charged me an additional $50 every time we came in for a new shot (4 in total). The $50 was labeld as a "check-up fee" when the doctor spent less then a minute with my dog each time I came in for the shot-- not only did the doctor NOT check-up the dog, but the shot could have been administered by a nurse! Needless to say, I didnt finish the series as I felt I was being taken advantage of by the doctor. I even called to complain and said I wanted my money back. They waved the doctors fee for one of the shots, yet it was just poor business practice. You do not advise a client for a series of elective services and then pad on additional charges each time they come in. Very poor business practices.

Took my puppy there because her hair was falling out in patches and she had pimple looking warts all over her skin with puss in there and she was itching. The owner, Dr. Walters said she was allergic to something and had me change her food shampoo, etc and did an ear mite exam and gave me antibiotics and sent me home with a $200 bill. I told them if she was allergic why did I get a rash too? With my follow up visit the following week, my puppy still wasnt well despite all the products they sold me, I saw Dr Harrison the woman, the second time and she immediately figured it was mites. She was friendly and kind and did an exam to make sure that it was mites under a microscope. She applied a topic on the puppy and again I was charged $175 for something that should have been caught the first time if they have been in business since 1978!! I feel like I was ripped off and Im looking for a new vet!

The "pet dentist" who offers "free" dental check-up service on Tuesdays is a quack job. He briefly checked my pugs back teeth, w/o tools (e.g. a tiny mirror) diagnosed mild dental disease; after waiting for 15-18 mins, I ws shoved me a $700+ bill worth of expenses to be had (e.g. examinations, necessary shots, various forms of anesthetic, etc.). Last month, they had me pay $450 for a line of shots that were deemed "necessary" at the time, to follow-up with. I feel that they are money-grubbing hounds! Now that I think back, my pug has been subjected to roughly 10-12 shots, more or less this past yr alone. Whats more they show no affection for your pet (i.e. my family have been "pet patients" for about 7-8 years) and this was the last straw.

The new Cornerstone Integrative Veterinary Hospital has replaced the old Northbay Animal Hospital, and the change is quite wonderful. Dr. Hansson has a warm touch and knowledgeable approach to all things veterinary. The facility is newly remodeled, pleasant and patient friendly. The staff is first rate and really seem to care about the pets. In addition to all of the traditional/western veterinary medical modalities, they have accupuncture, laser therapy, and physical therapy/massage.

Board your dog and come back to a bill with lots of extras tagged on. This is the second time this has occurred to us - and the last. We were specific about what we wanted - boarding and a bordetella vaccine - they decided to throw in rabies and DA2PP - and had the nerve to tell us later that they "arent mind readers". Dr. George Walters has no clue about customer service or following instructions.

I board my dog here regularly as well as vet checkups. The old owner was a bit pushy on offering services but the new owner is great. No complaints here, theyre always nice to me and my dog doesnt seem to mind getting boarder here.

$200 to put in a microchip because it needed to be done "surgically". Taking advantage of unsuspecting pet owners who trust anything the vet says. Complete rip off.
