I am giving them a 1 star review not based on treatment of animals but of the amount of money we are charged for each visit. We are being taken advantage of and have been from day one. For an inflamed shoulder, we are getting out of there for a mere $600. Most visits end up being close to $300. They want follow up visits that are never ending. My daughter set up her cat as a new patient last June. They informed her that now her cat needs to be established as a new patient. An extra $55 will be added to her next visit. Or would be if she were going back. It makes me angry because theres no reason for full blood work ups every time. I do not appreciate being charged repeatedly for tests that dont have to be run. They sedated the dog for an xray (we have never had this dog sedated like that). And now the dog has been drooling uncontrollably for the past 7 hours. *They still have no idea what the issue is, $600 later.* I am confident we can find a place in Kitsap that wants to do their best for the animals that doesnt fleece us every time. That is exactly what they do.

Dr. Adams is an amazingly compassionate veterinarian. He has a staff that is also quite amazing. It is with a heavy heart that I say all of this as today they had to euthanize my friend. Although Dr. Adams was booked for surgery he and his staff took time out of their busy schedule to take care of my sick dog. I will forever be grateful for the caring, compassionate people that they are.

Poulsbo Animal Clinic is outstanding and having used other local vets, they are the only clinic I would recommend! Dr. Craig is a master at his craft and along with the outstanding staff when my puppy needed surgery they provided top notch care along with the personal touch you would expect from a small, local, family owned business.
