I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!! THE BEST OF THE BEST. I have been going to SW Family Physicians (SWFP) now for nearly six months. When I found this place it was after a long and exhaustive search for a good doctor and a caring facility. Before I found SWFP I had been seen by four doctors at other practices and they were terrible. I was in and out within ten minutes or less and that was after waiting over 20 minutes or more to be seen. One doctor did not even examine me when I saw her for the first time. When I finally found SWFP I could not be happier about it. The doctors that I have worked with thus far (Dr. Greiss and Dr. Gulick) have been more caring and informative than I have ever experienced! In addition I started with the weight loss program monitored by Dr. Gulick and in 6 weeks time I have lost 25 pounds!!!!!! I feel great, my health is improving and I could have never done it without her help and the support of her great team. Along with the weight loss regimen, I was given a full health plan which includes physical therapy with Lynn and her staff next door at Tigard Physical Therapy! These people work together as a team and when I go to see any of the doctors or physical therapists I feel like I am the only patient they have and during my appointment, there is nothing more important to them then my health. I read the other reviews and it is unfortunate that people will write such negative things without ever writing about the positive. Usually people only write reviews when they are mad but those of us who are happy also need to write about how happy we are with our service. So, I am here to tell you that this place is wonderful. No matter where you go you will run into people who either have a different personality than you are used to or are just having a bad day. Whatever the reason, focusing on the positive and giving constructive criticism is always better than tearing people down. That is the only way to help people make improvements to the things that you see wrong. This place has thousands of patients who come back time and time again so obviously this place is doing something right. I love SWFP and I will stay with them because they truly care about my health and want to see me succeed! Thank you all for caring about me and I’ll see you at my next appointment :)

When I learned I was expecting our first child, I asked my sister-in-law who she had seen for prenatal care and the delivery of her 5th child. She referred me to Southwest Family Physicians and Dr. Cynthia Gulick. I didnt find out until years later that Dr. Gulick never actually delivered my nephew. In fact, he was born so quickly that no one from SW Family Physicians was even in the room but, of course, they still billed my brother and his wife in full. Had I known any of this at the time and/or foreseen how awful my experience with these people would be, I would have run for the hills and found a qualified OB-Gyn instead. The staff here are rude and so incredibly inept that they treat patients like cattle and couldnt even manage a simple blood draw. I deeply disliked one particularly rude and abrasive midwife who works with Dr. Gulick and did not want her anywhere near me when I had my baby. But in true "Murphys Law" fashion, she was the one on call when I went into labor. During the delivery, she panicked and acted so rashly and aggressively that my baby nearly died and I was left with gaping wounds that led to serious complications. Ive since had to endure three painful surgeries to try and repair the damage she did and still suffer from permanent physical and psychological trauma as a direct result of her bungling incompetence. My husband and I had always hoped to have four children, but that dream became impossible due to the lasting damage she did and which I now deal with every single day. If you value your health at all, avoid this place and these people like the plague.

Do yourself a favor and NEVER GO HERE. This office once upon a time was a wonderful place, they knew your face when you walked in and they were always accurate and prompt with getting you the care you needed. But unfortunately for whatever reason (I believe theyve grown too big for their own good) in the last few years the doctors have become horrible, their receptionists and schedulers are complete morons and nothing seems to be done right. I personally cant even get something as simple as birth control filled without having to call and have a minor melt down on someone before hand, I had to put a note in 5 times to have my number changed; my Father cant even get someone to call him back on some blood work! THE LIST GOES ON. Save yourself the pain and look else where because I can tell you there is no longer anything family orientated about southwest family. All youll be is another copay.

THE WORST of THE WORST!! I have been going here for almost 20 years, and have put up with their nonsense, their horrible staff. I love Drs Adamcak and Greiss, but being prescribed RX that are dangerous together, and being mistreated by their staff is enough for me. After Jennifer was rude to me and lied to me on Saturday, and after Alexandra (PA) said I could wait until Monday after letting me run out of an RX (for the third time this year), and then called back on Monday and Jennifer got on the phone and said, I heard you said I was rude on Saturday, well we need to take care of this before we talk about anything else." Well, today I am talking about going to another dr, because I am no longer going to put up with these peoples arrogance and money grubbing attitude toward healthcare! If you are smart, you will avoid this place! Find a physicians office that cares about people!

This Clinic is a joke. I made an appointment and when I went in I did not even see the Doctor but a nurse named Molly Straton. She was rude, condescending and quite frankly an awful person. I ended leaving, being refunded my co pay as I walked out and now this Doctor is billing my insurance company $176. I have never met this doctor and will contest this charge. Just wanted to warn others of my experience so no one has to go through what I did. There are many great Doctors in Portland, just cant believe this company at Southwest Family Practitioner..... BEWARE!

Great reputation for this Dr. She is at one of the best clinics to go to and work with. All the doctors at this office have amazing reputations and I personally know that theyre working very hard on improving their billing department. Ive never had any issues with them myself. All I know is the office manager is dedicated to making sure a very large clinic is run smoothly. Its new, its clean, they keep you well, they look for new ways to help patients. What more can you say?

I cant stress too much my advice to stay away from this place. Although my medical care was good so many things seemed to fall between the cracks that it became a problem. I always felt like a number to them - my birth date - and no one ever seemed to recognize me although I went there for 3 years. They need to take that little sign down that talks about their "old fashioned medical care" because thats a joke.
