If any of yall need to get blood drawn, I HIGHLY recommend going to see Damon at Legacy Central Laboratory. I have been putting it off for a month now - getting blood drawn and IVs are one of my top fears (yes, despite the fact that I get three separate allergy shots weekly for the last eight years of my life, I still HATE getting my blood drawn). Anyway, I walk in, check in, wait (says wait time is 14 minutes, ends up being 5 - awesome!), he comes out, and I say "just a heads up, Im not very good at these things", to which he calmly replies "no worries, I am". Nice. Confident, but not cocky; I already like where this is headed, despite the fact I hate where this is headed. We go in the room, and he ASKS me which arm Id prefer (ugh, awesome, way to take your patients preferences into consideration). I say left - I prefer not using my dominant arm for these things, so my partner goes over to my right side to hold me hand. Damon then assesses the veins on my left arm. He puts on the little tight rubbery arm band thing, has me make a fist, and gets the stuff he needs. Comes back, I start to do the thing where my mind fogs out in an attempt to remove myself from my physical being - because, again, I HATE this. He does a little prick, and in what feels like 30 seconds we are done. Like for real. Normally I either cry, curl up in the fetal position, try and punch someone, or it takes too long and I impatiently ask when well be done, OR they suck and stab me multiple times. None of the above happened. He was awesome. And then as I ask in shock "are we done already?", and he replies, "yes, but you stopped breathing for a bit there, so Im gonna have you wait here a minute before I have you leave", and then my stress hits me like a ton of bricks and I start hyperventilating and shaking (because thats what happens to me every time), and he goes and gets me some water, and we all chat until Im stable. He was polite, calm, professional, and caring. It was the best version of doing something I hate that I could have asked for. Thank you Damon. Your kindness and consideration were greatly appreciated. I will for sure be requesting him for future blood drawings.

I showed up just as people were walking out. I walked up to see a sign in the door that said "closed for a 15 minute break". The worker was sitting in front of the door watching tv! Wtf? The hours say M-F 8:30- 5:00 closed noon to 12:30. I guess there must have been a good episode of Judge Judy on!

Fast and convenient. The staff is friendly and they offer a fast turn around. Good place for pre-emoployment drug screenings. They will get you in and out.
