Give ear to sound warnings.... The investors approach to problem-solving is that problems will go away if you pretend they dont exist. When problems get too big to ignore, their approach changes to reactionary - being proactive is a suggestion that theyll take when its convenient for them and doesnt interfere with their profit-drawing schedules. How they consider action and consequence can be accurately described as: "its better to ask for forgiveness than permission". Anyone that prioritizes ethics above the entitlement of the investors is systematically eliminated. The entire management team consists of people who place entitlement as the highest priority - and their jobs are secure because of that. The investors are significantly more interested in growing the company rapidly than in growing the company carefully. While they were putting their efforts into acquiring new clients, they failed to oversee projects that had yet to finish. Systems de-stabilized and the investors would not pay attention because they were so fixated on growth and new projects. Welcome to MTL. Do not be fooled by Mr. Blackwells charm and charisma. As more information comes to light, it becomes clearer and clearer that Peter Flynn is a Covert Narcissist and Adam Blackwell is an Overt Narcissist. Both are Narcissistic Abusers - an actual term that I recommend you look up if you arent familiar with it. They regularly take advantage of their employees, customers, and any victim that falls into their trap. If you have any question of whether or not youre falling victim to their abuse, just ask yourself the following questions... -If you have a supposed mutually beneficial arrangement, do you find it balanced? -Have you tried compromising with them? If you havent already youll discover that youll be the one extending yourself trying to meet them in a middle, only to find out that youll need to extend a little farther, and a little farther, and a little farther still. When you reach your limit, have they made any effort to meet you at all? -Have they procrastinated a deadline? And procrastinated again? As if you have infinite patience and time? They will act like this is acceptable when they do this to you, but not if you ever once do this to them. -Have they made a promise, and then it just slipped their mind to fulfill it? And then it repeatedly slips their mind even after you repeatedly remind them? -Coerced you? -Do they dismiss concerns, minimize impact and frequency of infractions, deflect/redirect accusations or disappointments? And then insist that you give them a free pass? Get angry if you dont? -Do they ignore socially acceptable boundaries at their convenience to get what they want? And when you try to emphasize that the boundary is there, do they respond in a highly negative fashion? -Do they psychologically abuse you by twisting your words, intentionally miss the points youre trying to make, ask loaded questions, confuse the chronology of events that you reference, belittle you, put words in your mouth, vilify you, endlessly interrupt you, isolate you so that they can outnumber you, make you repeat yourself in a highly circular fashion, and extensively use logic fallacies to cripple the objectivity of discussions? -Do they use extensive denial? Deny their own misbehavior ever happened? Deny the inevitability of outcomes? Deny possibilities that are certain? Deny that they ever made promises or deals? -Do they exaggerate or downplay probabilities, frequencies, and impacts? -Do they pretend to be such generous philanthropists to confuse people about their characters and personalities? Just listen to how much they self-glorify and youll throw up a bit in your mouth. -Do you find that a wedge has been mysteriously driven between you and your peers? -Have you noticed that abuse that once came directly from the investors now comes through other people? Abuse by Proxy is common there, and unfortunately the proxies are often unaware of the dynamic theyre playing into. The HR Department is the most common proxy, sadly.
