Dr Mikas practice ranks with the leading cosmetic dentists in the country. She is extremely deliberate in designing a cutting-edge approach to highly innovative cosmetic dentistry, combined with her disciplined aesthetic. Dr Mika begins evaluations for cosmetic veneers with extensive photography shot in her office studio, from which she does a full assessment of each patients face shape, bone and cheek structure, mouth size and shape, and condition of their teeth. This work is precisely measured and highly aesthetic and Dr Mika has a very gifted eye and many years of experience. Dr Mikas process then proceeds to a mock-up or "wax-up" of her recommended veneer dimensions and shape, so she and her clients can fine-tune the final design. Dr Mika uses one specific hand-picked and award-winning veneer lab for her clients, as she feels this lab best meets her exacting standards, and creates beautiful delicate and undetectable work. In addition Dr Mika does not use a veneer replacement method that files down your original teeth to tiny stumps - she keeps the integrity of your original teeth as much as possible. While Pearl District Dental is absolutely a premium priced practice, the quality of Dr Mikas work is exceptional and worth every dollar. I have had other dentists recommend veneers due to erosion of the enamel of my teeth, and for 2/3 of the price would have had an average result that did not take into account half of the design considerations that Dr Mika uses. My new veneers have improved my smile and confidence enormously, and I have had dentists in other countries compliment me on "the nicest veneers they have ever seen". Dr Mika and her team including her husband/manager Eli have put together a private, individualized practice of highly professional staff, lovely offices and high integrity. When an issue with a faulty veneer did develop for me living overseas, Dr. Mika did a full correction on my veneer at no cost on one of my trips back to Portland, and fit it into her busy schedule. Dr Mika is proactively involved in the leading cosmetic dentistry professional associations, and attends professional development courses and classes to stay on top of new developments. Portland is lucky to have such a talented cosmetic dentist, who works personally on her clients, and is so focused on individualized cosmetic solutions to dental problems and the aging effects of eroding and discolored teeth. The best dentist in Portland, barnone. I went in for a consult & several cleanings and not only are the staff very professional, but Dr. Mika actually takes time to sit down and do a thorough examination as well as sit back and talk with you about your oral health and how comfortable you are with her suggestions. I think their prices are just and fairly reflect their services and effort in giving you the smile you want. Ive seen them take extra time and money to make things right with other patients. They always go above and beyond when working with other providers in coordination and treatment plans. The Pearl District Dental space is beautiful and relaxing - much like a spa. You never have to wait more than 5 minutes for an assistant or their hygienist to accompany you back to your room and their chair-side manner is exquisite. Suzie and Eli at the front desk are super helpful and always make me feel comfortable when I visit. It seriously feels like youve entered a 5-star resort when you walk in the doors. I will never see another dentist again as long as I live in the Portland area. Pearl District Dental will always win my vote and I plan on recommending everyone I know to go there. In the end, my experience at every other dentists office Ive ever been a patient at has never compared to the amazing experiences Ive had here. If youre looking for a dentist who never double books appointments, has more knowledge in the cosmetic and general dental industry than your typical dentist down the street due to having the highest potential credentials and accolades, spends ample time with you as well as an understanding, generous and helpful staff who is also very knowledgeable and makes you feel comfortable - look no further... Pearl District Dental is a dream come true when I thought I would never again like, let alone enjoy, visiting the dentist.

Dr. Mika and Eli epitomize personalized care in dentistry. After a root canal gone awry, Eli personally helped me choose the right doctor for the extraction, helping me to weigh all the cost options. Aftewards, Eli again helped me assess my next steps, outlining every possible scenario with great clarity. Upon choosing to go with the high-quality bridge option, Dr. Mika performed a thorough evaluation, installed two temporary crowns, and took impressions. Eli made sure to tell me how to save money through my HSA, even offering a payment plan for whatever costs remain. Not sure how many dentists would go to this level of service. Several weeks later the bridge was seated - and it looks amazing. My wife says no one would know its a bridge. The color and look match my teeth perfectly. After a bit of sensitivity after the bridge was installed, Dr. Mika again evaluated me and offered what may prove to be the best purchase I have ever made - custom night guards. Im a chronic grinder and curbing that behavior with a night guard not only eliminated the pain I was experiencing, it has improved my sleep overall. Dr. Mika and Eli both outlined costs differences among standard, run-of-the-mill night guards, versus the higher quality, sturdier night guard option. It was a no brainer to go with the higher quality option. Its rare to feel like you are part of a family when being medically treated, which is why Dr. Mika has been my dentist for nearly ten years. The whole team is warm, sensitive to my needs and invested my optimal health. Thats so reassuring and why I cant recommend Pearl District Dental enough. Not to mention how amazing the ambiance (yes, its beautiful and very zen!)

I moved to Portland about two years ago and I was interested in getting my silver fillings replaced. I was hesitant to go to any dentist as I really wanted someone who is top-notch. My friend recommended Dr. Mika to me Just before I went to her clinic, one of those teeth broke and the others were cracking. Dr. Mika provided with a very thorough consultation, x-rays, cleaning and 6 fillings/onlays. She referred me to an oral surgeon for removal of my wisdom teeth and I will be looking at Invisalign in the next few months. So far, I have been extremely satisfied with all the services provided. I have found Dr. Mika to be very gentle, professional, patient, and understanding. She is really a top-notch dentist. Her technique and quality of work is beyond anything I have every seen - everything is so life-like and fits like a glove. The support staff are all way above par too: thanks Eli and Suzie for totally taking care of insurance issues for me. I love the welcome I get every time I come in and feel the staff all take time to remember me. By the way, their hygienist, Marjan is also fantastic. I have seen her about four times so far and she is very gentle and explains what she is doing each step. She’s very patient and takes plenty of time to educate me. She worked on my gums and I’ve really seen significant improvement. She’s the first hygienist who managed to convince me to floss. I highly recommend Dr. Mika’s work and her office to anyone who is looking for a better smile. I’ve already recommended them to a family member who was very pleased to make the change.
