My 88 year old mother-in-law was admitted following a partial hip replacement. The staff never called a Care Conference to discuss her goals during her stay. I had to make the call and ask for a conference, which was extremely helpful to all family members and mom. Next time I called to check on her progress, I was told she was being discharged the next day, and was told that her PT was angry about this release date. She has now been back at Westhills Village for 3 weeks, and has not received any PT or OT. When I called today to ask about this, they said that the Rehab never submitted the papers. This is inexcusable for a "care" facility to release an elderly patient after 30 days without any plan for continued therapy. So now it has been 3 weeks since she has had any therapy. As you can imagine, her progress has been slowed and she has no support to build up her strength and her skills. This has led to her depression. I am hoping that things will now move forward after several phone calls made this morning.

Physical Therapy team was GREAT!!! Management???? Worst Ive EVER seen. Was in rehab for broken hip. Management PUSHED me out wayyyyyyyy to early. Not one of the therapy staff thought I was ready!!! I was informed the Dr.s were pushing me out because of a (BUNDLE) package. I could not put weight on my broken leg. Refused 1st time and filed a complaint. Was given 3 more days and pushed out the door. Was home less than a week and ended up in the E.R. of local hospital. Being READMITTED to competitors rehab center for 3 more weeks. Should have NEVER been sent home when I was. Was told the early release has set back my recovery for months!!! Would not recommend this facility to ANYONE that wants to heal properly.

My mom stayed here for about three months while recovering from two knee replacements and it was a fantastic experience. Their staff is truly outstanding and we were amazed at the level of service and care she received. I cant recommend West Hills highly enough; its a very well-run facility with great people.

Very bad place to work! The poor aides never get breaks nor can find time for lunch. While they are working thier asses off taking care of patients they dont get time to eat. Greed nice facilities buy a lot of patients but dont take care of the staff that deserves breaks mealtimes ect.

They made us pay $5,600 in advance for the first 20 days. Mom was in 4 days and almost 2 months later we still do not have a refund. Five Stars on care, one star for accounting.

I also moved my mother from a less desirable location and found West Hills to be a very pleasant, well-run facility.
