I had an absolutely horrible experience!! I am not from the area originally, and scheduled an appt with Willamette Valley due to insurance acceptance. I had lost my glasses over the weekend, and needed to be seen asap. The next day, I drove to Willamette Valley. The sign stated they have now moved to Liberty St. I drove there, and the parking was an absolute nightmare. They had a traffic director due to the insanity of it. I waited in line at the receptionist desk for 20 minutes. My appt time had now come and gone. I overheard the receptionist be very rude to 2 patients. It was appalling. When it was my turn, I handed the receptionist my insurance card. She stated that they did not accept my insurance, as I was out of network. I stated that I had verified with my insurance company as well as Eye Care physicians on the day that they I made the appt that they did, in fact, accept it. She called an extension, and told me "No, we do not". I told her I was upset that I had been told that the day prior. She rudely pushed my card at me and said, "Theres nothing I can do about that." I then called my insurance company who again told me that they do accept it. I called back to the doctors office and was told, "Im sorry about that. I guess we do. Let me see what I can do." She then came back on the line, and said "Actually, we arent sure if we do. Our book keeper will have to call you." I called my insurance company one more time and again was told "What is wrong with this place. Yes they do. Tell them to bill us anyway." I received a call from the receptionist, not the bookkeeper later in the day who said, "Im sorry. We do accept it. You should have verified with your insurance company." I stated that I had done that 3 times. She then said, "Well if you simply shown your card to the receptionist she would have known." I told her that I had, in fact, shown my card to the receptionist. I was then scheduled for an appt in Keizer the following morning. Very rude staff, and a chaotic environment. Clearly they need more training on insurance plans.

I went in for a routine eye exam and contact fitting. When they were doing my exam, the woman only flipped through 5 lenses and said I was done even though my vision was still blurry. I am used to getting a new pair of contacts before I leave the office to check for accuracy and they didnt do that. The woman that walked me out asked 3 times in 5 minutes if I wanted to order contacts. By the third time I was frustrated and told her yes, I need contacts, I cant see. They didnt asked me what kind of contacts I wanted. They also didnt say when they expected them in, or how I would be informed when they came in. That is just an overview. There were many other issues I had with them. I actually plan on calling and complaining today. I dont want to wait several weeks for contacts that are not my prescription, and that are going to have to be reordered. I highly suggest to everyone not to go here. You will be making a mistake.

I saw Dr. Robert M. Paluska, O.D. on a Saturday (thats a positive for all 8am-5pm 5 work day per week workers). Most of the work was done by the assistants and tough he didnt spend much time with me, he was kind and listened to my concerns. Unfortunately Dr Paluska doesnt do contacts which I didnt know till he was dilating my eyes so I have to go back and see another Dr. After dilating my eyes a person who helps with glasses fittings took me to find glasses (this, while being nearly blind) and kept on recommending styles I had already said I wasnt very interested in instead of taking note of what I was choosing and leading me to other styles like it. In summary, I think the employees seem to be stressed and try to rush appointments because they are so busy but the doctor I saw made up for their haphazard care.

A wonderful experience The front desk staff were helpful and there was no waiting to get checked in. The waiting room was comfortable and I was quickly called into a treatment room. Barb was so friendly and fully reviewed my chart. Dr. Neahring was thorough in reviewing my chart and asked if I had any new issues with my eyes, he was a good listener and very attentive. And Lisa in Optical was a perfect end to my visit. She has a great eye for what frames look good on certain face structures and was SO helpful in working with me to get frames/lenses that I could afford. I would certainly suggest anyone to visit this office.

Terrible experience, werent up front about costs, I told them I was interested in contacts but unsure. They encouraged me to try them without telling me it would cost money to even try. I waited another 45 minutes for a tech to help me try to put them in. I decided I didnt like them. And when I asked how much I could spend on glasses I was told none because apparently on top of the cost of the initial vision check they charged me $150 to sit with the tech for 15 to try putting them in. So for an appointment where I saw the optometrist for 1 minute they charged me $430. Thats ridiculous!

Accurate vision test, but ophthalmologist seemed completely disinterested. When I ordered frames and they came in, they called on a very busy day, I confirmed I wanted frames and then they called later saying they were going to send my frames back if I didnt pay right away! Then they didnt even tell me I needed to come in to do the frame fit, reading exam. What is the matter with these people? Found the same frame later in Albany much cheaper... I wish I could say something positive but I just cant. This business is having customer relation problems.

The receptionist made me feel as if I was unimportant and I was a bother, they could care less if I was there. I was quoted $66 to be seen. It took a long time for the doctor to see me and when he finally did, it took him one minute and he said the disturbance that I had in my eye was nothing, and he sent me away with $166 bill. Very unpleasant and uncomfortable, I will never return and never recommend them to anybody. Must be nice to not have to treat your patients nicely and still make money.

I have been here 3 times now and I always wait AT LEAST a half an hour to get in to the room, then get into the room and wait another 30 minutes to see the doc....Im not sure why this happens, maybe they overbook?? Its not an emergency department....I made this appointment. When I have an eye appointment, I plan to be here for at least 3 hours for something that should honestly take an hour at MOST. Im a patient person, and Im an emergency nurse, but this is ridiculous.

I took the grandkids for their appts. Didnt have to wait too long. Only problem I had was choosing frames. Insurance only covered a certain amount. One of the ladies that helped with showing us the frames, wasnt very friendly. I wanted to stay close to what the insurance would pay and she just didnt seem to thrilled about that. The other lady who has an accent was super nice and helpful. I appreciated her help. She really helped in keeping us within our budget.
