My experience was good at first but she kept insisting I take Suboxone. I have been on Suboxone before and the naloxone in the medication made me feel like I was going to seize up and Suboxone is 2 and a 1/2 times the price of Subutex. I have been on Subutex for several years and I have records to prove this. Subutex works just fine for me but her assistant said no one is forcing me to take the medication. I have been in multiple car wrecks and my pain levels are high so it effects my sleep and work. When I am on Subutex I am able to manage just fine with daily life, the prices, and no negative effects from the Subutex. Suboxone is Subutex except it has naloxone. Hopefully I can change this rating after my next visit considering she knows my situation and does not seem to care. I wonder if she gets a kick back for prescribing Suboxone? If she puts me back on Subutex I will change my rating. Until then hopefully she will act like a doctor and not a street dealer. She knows some people need these meds and her requirements for being prescribed the meds are being met financially and my urine is clean. Drug dealers push more drugs on addicts then say they cant help you when you do not want what they are pushing so the addicts will break and take what they can get. Hope this helps whoever. Thanks

So I married my husband while on suboxone in new mexico.. never used anything but alcohol and never had any problems .. anyhow I caught her overcharging my husband and she accused me of transferring my anger issues on her and staff. She raised my husbands rate and said he would end up on methadone if I didnt do exactly as she wanted .. but before I caught her overcharging she was wonderful. We even had passover at her house.. im in shock. I dont know much about medicine but i know she was giving my husband anxiety pills and then said she doesnt care about patients stress management ... now she was acting really wierd when she said that, but it was so scary .. I told her we might want to switch doctors and she said that if I did my husband would end up dead or at a methadone clinic so.. pretty much everything my husband said was true.. its sad because my husband really liked her and ive never seen him be so honest with a doctor. Her reccomendation to get medicine illicitly.. I just dont know what to say but report it.

I miss having Helman as my methadone doc. She is a great woman, very intelligent! I could sit and talk for hours, learning about addiction and how it affects the brain and what not...very insightful!!?
