Its hard to even put into words how upset I am over the treatment I received from this vet. I took my cat in and he said she has cancer. He was rude and curt and turned around after 3 mins and walked out of the room. Obviously I was upset and didnt ask all the questions I should have. I went home and googled it and called the next day to ask if we should have her on pain meds and the man was horrible to me. He yelled at me saying he only gives morphine after surgery ( I never even asked him for morphine) and said to me "what do you want?, what do you want,? I give you pills for a few days and then what you want them for another week there is nothing to do. I tried to explain I wanted to do what was best for my cat and wanted to know if she was in pain. He told me I could come back and get an antibiotic however the day before he said that would not work. He treated me like I was drug seeking. I was appalled. Im in my 40s and a professional. I called the office back to speak with the secretary and she said she would have the office manager call me. No one called. The practice is privately owned by this vet so my complaint will go nowhere but at least I can share this here and hopefully save someone from being treated so rudely and disrespectfully.

Not me

I dont like to write negative reviews but I must in this case. I took my cat to the BP Cat Clinic late in August 16 because he had been throwing up and having loose bowels. The vet did not feel there was anything wrong with the cat and wasnt concerned he had lost 5 ounces. By mid September there was some blood in his stool and an internet search said to immediately take the cat to the vet so I went back to the BP Cat Clinic. I explained what I had read on the internet and the vet said that information was wrong and the most likely cause was colitis unless I wanted to spend $1000 for more extensive tests. He weighed the cat again and did so quickly I did not see the weight but my cat had lost more weight. In early October my cats condition worsened so I took him back to my regular vet. An x-ray and ultrasound unfortunately showed intestinal Lymphoma. This diagnosis cost a fraction of the $1,000 the BP Cat Clinic vet suggested I would spend to determine the cause of my cats condition. I only wish I had gone to my regular vet instead of wasting precious time at the BP Cat Clinic. My cat could have been on prednisolone much sooner to help his condition which is now considered terminal.

Fantastic Doc; warm, caring, friendly staff; pleasant customers; reasonable hours; and a willingness to see emergency cases the same day you call, if possible (have had it happen twice). These people are passionate about cats - theres no mistaking it. And they make a serious and consistent effort to educate their client-base to better perform at-home follow-up care (such as administering antibiotics or keeping a wound clean or just what signs/symptoms to look for during observation). Rates are reasonable and the clinic itself is cozy. Plus they treat the humans to endless bowls of chocolate - whats not to like? 5 stars!!

The people here are so passionate about cats. I was not a cat person when we found a kitten in our woods. I had no clue where to start. Animal Control would euthenize. BP Cat Clinic saw us that day, gave us a starter pack with food and advice and was genuinely concerned for the cat and its future. They were fast and very pleasant. Their customers were also caring and friendly. I would recommend them in a (kitty) heartbeat!
