I went to the ER with some pain and an infection which had gotten worse. I was then admitted to the 4th floor early the next morning. All of the staff I encountered during my 3 day stay were great. Yes, the ER wait was a bit slow, but it was busy and I wasnt dying. My pain was well managed and my call light was answered promptly. I especially liked the 2 young ladies who were volunteers that transported me from the ER to the 4th floor. So friendly! I had great nurses throughout my stay who were kind and took the time out to talk to me about the issues I was experiencing. I cant remember all of their names, but they made me feel welcomed. The dietary staff were also very kind when delivering my trays. Food wasnt too hateful either. The physicians in the ER and 4th floor had bedside manners and listened to me when I voiced my concerns about my health. Although I wouldnt have picked to spend my time in the hospital, the staff made me feel wlecomed and took care of me. A big thank you to all of them.

Dec 31 2016 My husband and I were in PA for a funeral at 1 pm. I found my husband in the floor at the hotel that evening , he was taken by Ambulance to Chambersburg hospital where he passed. My husband was 50 yrs old very strong and healthy. I ask for an autopsy the nurse comes back to me and says it will cost you $5000 to have him transported to pittsburg and for autopsy . Of course I was not in my right mind I just lost the love of my life, I didnt know how i was to come up with $5000 so I said no. My point is the Dr should have done the autopsy without hitting me with a $5000 bill. Since then I have called the Dr to find out why she didnt do an autopsy with no reply. They have been very rude when I have called. By the look of their ratings Karma is working.

My experience has been horrible. I have a broken jaw, it is shattered on the right side so badly that my teeth are falling off the jawbone one by one. Ive been waiting to be treated at his hospital for 3 hours now, and Im told that they will give me something for the pain when I get a ride here to take me home!!! Its unbelievable! Theyre discharging me with my jaw literally in pieces. Im in so much pain, its unbearable. No wonder theres a prescription drug epidemic. I was in enough pain that I pissed myself at one point. Thankfully I was wearing their little hospital gown and had my street clothes in the room to change into. Ive attached pictures, please take a look and see for yourself. I wish I could post this with 0 stars.

Had to get my elderly mother in to be seen. The ER was quite busy and things did take a while to be seen, but once seen everything moved along quite fast. The nurses in ER were wonderful, the lab tech guy from Scotland was very good with my mom. The Pharmacy person (red head) who came in was was patience with my parents. I only wish I could remember our nurse name, she was extremely good with elderly parents. She worked the 11 to 11 shift on 3/19/2017 with dark hair and had a 4 year old. ;) My mom got a room later in the evening, and the ER Doctor was very direct and caring.

Absolutely HORRIFIC experience. Went in for wound treatment due to a bite and it was never addressed. Discharged without cleaning the wound or dressing it. The healthcare system is in horrible shambles and if you do not have a family member or friend in the medical profession, find someone who knows the proper protocol for treatment. People are being mistreated and not realizing it and are will to accept sub-care. Find another facility to go to even if it means driving to another town (Gettysburg Hospital) or state (Meritus in Hagerstown).

er was fast i had a hole in my lip they stitched it. reception person was nice doctor was a snotty person but what made me mad is i waited across the hall and looked at them just laughing not caring bout patients. this hospital is a joke. they didnt fix my teeth either which pisses me off. i had to get 2 teeth removed since it wasnt treated right away. dont go here if there is anything wrong with your teeth. iv been to lgh and they are way better. id rather have an army medic mess with my mouth.

I called ahead to verify if they were busy and had open examine rooms. They said they were not busy. I travel 30 minutes, got checked in, waited in the examine room for over an hour without being scene. All I needed was antibiotics from the infection and inflation. Too much of a work load I would assume given the small staff. Now I wait for Keystone Urgent Care, so I can kill off the infection. It is hospitals like this that need to be shut down or add more staff and physicians.

Very rude hospital Dr he never came to see me except for one time to discharge me. Its like an assembly line get you out asap. Same Dr discharge my mother two years ago said wasnt anything wrong with her and he shipped her to nursing home and at my insisting they performed blood work results came back that she had MERSA and VRE she died in less than two months. I assume he got his license from a cracker jack box. And my stay in felt worse after leaving than what I did going in.

If you can at all avoid this ER do it! Over all, Poorly trained, rude and uncaring staff. Long wait times in excess of 4 hours. I would not bring my child here with a broken arm..go to Waynesboro or Carlisle. Were it not for asking for Dr. Wallick, my son would of lost his finger! As it is, they cut away most of the pad of his finger tip because he "waited to long" to be seen. He was at the ER within 15 minutes of the injury..he waited 4 hours in the waiting room

HORRIBLE. Waited over 2 hours and i was never seen by a doctor or checked on by any nurses. I went at 1am and the hospial was NOT busy at all. When i went to check out the reception lady was an ass. She had an attitude and everything. DONT go here, no matter what. Go ANYWHERE else. And the rooms were VERY dirty. My sheet had a stain on it and there were french fries on the floor.

I was seriously just told to call my family dr and get an appointment with them to get a referral before I can schedule an appointment with a cardiologist ... despite being in the ER yesterday and feeling like a vice is on my chest today. I guess Im driving to Carlisle..... btw, my 1 hour ER visit was $3600.

THE SHITIEST hospital ever. My wife came up here 6 times in less than a month to figure out what was wrong with her. The nurses take forever to get back to you. I highly recommend not going here.
