THE EMERGENCY ROOM! I HAVE BEEN HERE SEVERAL TIMES BETWEEN A DAUGHTER IN EVERY SPORT THERE IS AND GRANDCHILDREN WHO GET INTO EVERYTHING AND THIS HOSPITAL IS A WASTE OF MY INSURANCE MONEY! EACH TIME I HAVE BEEN AND BEEN TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG I HAVE HAD TO GO DAYS LATER TO ANOTHER HOSPITAL OR DOCTORS OFFICE DUE TO THE SAME EASON I HAD MADE THE TRIP TO THE ER AND HAVE BEEN TOLD THERE WAS A BREAK OR THAT THE PAIN WAS DUE TO KIDNEY STONES AND NOT JUST A BACK PAIN WHICH WAS TOLD TO THE DOCTOR AND DEMANDED THAT WE KNEW WHAT BACK PAIN WAS. I MYSELF WAS SENT HOME AFTER RECEIVING STITCHES DUE TO A CUT WHEN WASHING THE INSIDE OF A GLASS, SEVERAL DAYS LATER STILL COULD NOT MOVE MY THUMB AND RETURNED TO BE TOLD THAT IT WAS JUST MY THUMB HEALING FROM THE STITCHES. I THEN WAS LEAVING W/ MY PAPERS WHEN A DIFFERENT ER DOC WHO FIRST TREATED IT INQUIRED HOW I WAS DOING AND EXPLAINED TO HIM MY DILEMMA AND ALL HE DID WAS ASK ME TO MAKE A HITCH HIKE SIGN W/ MY THUMB IN WHICH I WAS UNABLE TO DO. HE THEN IMMEDIATELY REFERRED ME TO MY ORTHO DOC BECAUSE MY TENDON WAS CUT ALL THE WAY THROUGH AND AFTER DAYS OF THIS STARTING TO HEAL LIKE THIS I WAS REQUIRED TO HAVE MAJOR SURGERY. THIS GRAPHING COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IF THEY LISTENED AGAIN IN THE FIRST PLACE! MANY MORE UNNECESSARY TRIPS TO THE ER OR DOCTORS ARE DUE TO THIS ER AND YOU SHOULD CHECK YOUR ITEMIZED BILL AFTER VISITING THIS PLACE BECAUSE YOU WILL MOST LIKELY FIND AS I DID MANY THINGS ON THERE THAT WERE NEVER PERFORMED OR RECEIVED! BY THE WAQY MY SON WAS HIT BY A CAR AND HAD HISD FOOT RUN OVER WHEN THIS HAPPENED. HE WAS SENT HOME W/ NO SUPPOSED BREAKS IN THE FOOT AS TO WHERE WE RETURNED AND AGAIN WERE TOLD THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THAT COULD BE DONE EXCEPT LET IT HEAL WHICH WE AGAIN TRIED. ANOTHER WEEK LATER WE DECIDED TO GO TO THE ORTHO DOCTOR SOONER THAN ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED FOR A FOLLOW UP AND WE WERE TOLD THERE WAS A BREAK FROM THE ACCIDENT AND AGAIN HAD TO SEND EXTRA MONEY DUE TO IT STARTING TO HEAL LIKE IT WAS BECAUSE A CAST WAS NOT PUT ON IN THE FIRST PLACE AS SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE AFTER SOMEONE MISREAD AAAGGGAAAIIINNN THE X RAY IMPROPERLY! UNINSURED ALSO KNOW THAT THEY HAVE FINANCIAL HELP WHICH WILL NOT BE OFFERED UNLESS YOU ASK AGAIN AND AGAIN! IF YOU WOUYLD LIKE TO BE TREATED W/ RESPECT AND PROPERLY TAKE THE EXTRA DRIVING MILES AND GO TO JOHNSTON WILLIS OR CHIPPENHAM, YOU MIGHT HAVE A CHANCE TO BE TREATED W/ SOME EDUCATED PROFESSIONAL STAFF. WE WONDER WHAT IS IS WRONG W/ OUR HEALTHCARE SYSTEM! THIS IS WHEE THEY NEED TO MAKE THE IMPROVEMENTS, HEALTHCARE FACILITIES SUCH AS THIS ONE SHOULD BE FINED HIGH AMOUNTS OF MONEY FOR THINGS SUCH AS THIS. I WAS ABLE TO SUE IF I CHOSE TO FOR MY SONS TERIBLE CARE WHICH CAUSED HIM A PERMANENT LIMP BUT THAT IS ALSO A PROBLEM BECAUSE THE GOOD DOCTORS AND ESTABLISHMENTS HAVE TO PAY SUCH HIGH DOLLARS FOR MALPRACTICE INSURANCE THAT THEY HAVE CHOSE TO GET OUT OF THE PROFESSION OR ARE SO FAR AND FEW IN BETWEEN YOU CANT GET INTO SEE THEM BECAUSE IT WILL TAKE OVER SIX MONTHS TO DO SO!

Absolute worst hospital to work with when it comes to billing. I would give them 0 stars if possible. I received a bill in October 2015 after an ER visit, not the doctors fault I get it (no complaints there). I spoke with multiple different people regarding financial help or at least a payment plan. The best they could come up with was over $100 a month (as a student, that was nearly impossible for me) until they could review my application for financial assistance. I submitted my application with everything I had been told to submit, only to find out months later that they would not make a decision because they were "missing documents." I never got a notification regarding these documents (that had already been mailed with my account number so that everything could be matched together). I re-submitted the documents they requested and never heard a response. I continued to make my payments to very rude billing representatives who never sent me my receipts after requesting them every phone call (as well as the receipts from previous payments that I did not ever receive). After waiting so long for a decision (I was told it takes anywhere from 6-9 months), I went directly to the hospital to inquire. I was told to re-submit my entire application and supporting documents. I did so the very next day, hand delivered to the same employee. After still hearing nothing, I called to make my next payment and was told that my application had been submitted too late to be considered. I asked to speak to a supervisor because this was entirely the hospitals fault. The representative told me to mail a letter to a P.O. box and hung up. Recently, I asked for a payment extension. On the phone I was told it was granted, but in the mail I received three different statements. I paid my bill by the deadline of my extension, and now they are requesting I pay the bill in full because it is "overdue." I will not ever go back to this hospital and unless you are truly dying and cant make it far, I recommend you go somewhere else as well.

Our son woke up at night with the stomache bug. He vomited continuously for about 2 hours and couldnt hold anything down, his fever began to spike so we took him to St. Francis as that was the closest ER, by this point my son was looking pale, washed out, with eyes sunken in. Upon admittance, we spoke to the nurse and mentioned what our son has been through and how much he vomited. etc. We were worried about dehydration (as we experienced that the hard way several years back). The nurse saidd he did not need IV fluids, but was going to check with the DR. When the DR. showed up, she mentioned he just needed Zorfan (an anti-nausea medication) then he could simply drink and not feel like he needed to vomit. We requested the child received IV as his fever was high and he had vomited non-stop for 2.5 hours and couldnt hold anything in. The dr. said my son will do fine with the Zorfan. After 20 minutes the nurse saw that he wasnt vomiting anymore and dismissed us. As soon as we got home, our son vomited again and threw up the medication he was given as well, by this point he was looking 1/2 alive, he was miserable and contunued to dry vomit whatever he had. After spending 3 hours from start-finish at the ER, we decided to call my sons pediatrician. He immediately asked us to take him back to the ER, but this time he requested we take him to Chippenham as dehydrated. In short, the medical staff there lacks common sense, book sense, and was very cold and disconnected from the situation, however, they were extremely quick to collect our $150 deductible. From a loving parent to others, please do not take your kids there!!!

I will never go to this facility again unfortunately my surgeon chose this place ..I had major surgery . I was inpatient for two days after having this procedure and receive the worst care from these two nurses..I was told by one nurse that she cant assist me with bathing because she had too many patients and to discuss the matter with her supervisor...I finally receive help with bathing on my final day..I spoke with another person who was suppose to be a supervisor ..It didnt help ....Extremely rude nurses.. The head nurse was the other nurse she wasnt any better I had to keep reminding her and the other nurse that I suppose to be turned every two hours due to the procedure I had... She was to put in a request with another department to have some to turn me.. That never happened so every two hours I had to call the nurse station.. There were other issues while in this hospital...One staff person who witnessed how rude these nurses were. She said she wouldnt let her dead dog come to St Francis .. Im sure there was no corrective actions taken against these nurses... I couldnt believe how these nurses conducted them selves. ..I dont want anyone to possibly loose their job thats why I have been hesitant to take action but I have to take action by filing a formal complaint with the Medical Board... I cant turn a blind eye..I dont want anyone else to have to go through this..
