Visited this Patient First about 6 months ago for some symptoms of numbness/tingling that had appeared out of nowhere. I had first spoken to the on call physician at my PCPs office because it was a Sunday, and he had said that if I wanted to be seen before I could get into their office, I could go to urgent care or the ER. Wanting to avoid the ER copay, I opted for Patient First instead. It was a complete waste of time and $30. The person I saw, I believe she was a PA, did a quick screen of strength and coordination then told me Id have to follow up with my PCP. No blood work or any other medical testing. Now, 6 months later, we first receive a bill of $8, then a week after that, we get a refund check of $30 (the cost of the original copay). I called the billing department who informed me that I overpaid originally, that the $30 refund check is mine, and that I owe nothing. Today, I received yet another bill, this time for $70. I called the billing department again and was told that my insurance company sent an explanation of benefits that patient responsibility is $70. When I inquired about why I was refunded $30, she stated she wasnt sure and could check with another department but it could take up to 15 days for a response. All this for a completely useless visit. Save yourself the aggravation and visit your doctors office or the ER.

WOULD GO A LONG WAY OUT OF MY WAY TO COME BACK!!! I had previously been to Concentra, and will never go back nor recommend even my worst enemy to go there. So after that terrible experience, and due to the positive reviews here, I decided on Patient First. The check-in process was a breeze, i didnt have to explain myself to multiple people, I was in a room in minutes, and the entire staff was as courteous as family. My procedure was a very painful one, but the staff was as polite and careful as they could be, and that alone made the pain go away a little faster. Even though i had multiple numbing shots first, this was hands down the most pain Ive felt in my life at one time -- including getting stitches with no drugs, resetting a multiple fractured finger with a ball point pen and some slamming, and breaking a shoulder blade in half, and more. But I left satisfied that I had found such a great place to come back to if (when) I need it. I would recommend this place to family and my kids.

They charged me a lot more than a primary doctor and then send me a second bill afterwards. What they tell you at the office is not the price you will be paying. They charge you anything they want and just send you a bill later on. When I called them about it they said we will take care of the bill but instead send me another bill with late fees !!!! This is a total ripoff... All their ads saying they will charge you insurance just like your personal doctor is a big lie ! They can request you insurance details online within seconds and get the correct payment amount. They dont do, simply because they are trying to conceal that you are going to pay a lot more....This may give you the option to leave and not use their services for that day. We have the right to know the amount before we get any service!!! You dont go to a store and just give them your credit card without and pick items. Theres always a price listed and or stated during the purchase.... This is not any different!.

This is only my second experience with an urgent care center, but I must say, "Bravo!" to the fine group of medical professionals at this office. I took my son here the other night because he had symptoms of strep throat. From the sign-in process, to getting vitals and getting us situated in our room, it was a very quick and seamless process. The place is spotless and the atmosphere was welcoming. Waiting for the doctor to come in was a little longer than I expected, but we didnt mind. Classical music was piped in overhead and it was so relaxing, I felt like I was in a spa. When the doctor came in, Dr. Paul Wilson, he was friendly, engaging, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor. He checked my son and diagnosed him and prescribed meds, which we were able to get right there. Talk about convenience! And all for a specialist copay on my insurance plan! I highly recommend this facility and its team, and would not hesitate to come here again.

My wife had a football injury to her index finger and ankle in a city we were visiting for a football tournament and we debated going to an emergency room or urgent care. After getting the recommendation to come here, we drove over and discovered the absolute best urgent care facility Ive ever been to. Registration was electronic, the nurses were quick and helpful, the x ray process was quick, paperwork was seamless and typed in by staff, the doctor was expedient, the facility was clean and well organized with a sanitation kiosk at the front door with allergy masks, hand sanitizer, and tissues, prescriptions were available onsite, and all records were placed on a CD for us to take home for a doctor in our local area. Hopefully our local Patients First is as amazing and thorough as they are - although they have set the bar pretty high!

I visited there a month ago for hypertension and was prescribed lisinipril which helped so much. My first experience was wonderful. However, I was supposed to follow up with them and due to unexpected expenses I was unable to afford a copay. I ran out of my lisinipril and called to try to get a bridge refill to last me a week until I could return. My blood pressure was so high when I was there I could have died. However, after calling and pestering them they refused. ..even the director. They do not truly care about the patients. They just want your money. I let them know if I stroke out or have a heart attack Im holding them liable for not even calling in 7 BP pills to hold me over until I could come back in. My advice : find a Dr who cares. I was gonna make Dr burgess my primary care doctor but not now.

Medical care was ok, the doc thought i had gall bladder stones, which was not even close to accurate, but ok. Would not recommend bc my experience with billing was horrifying. I called 7x and spent at least 30 min each time, i was told that my acct would be placed on hold while they waited for insurance co, which was an outright lie and it went to collections. I was told to contact my ins for more info..my ins stated, that was only info patient first could provide...which they did NOT. By the 5th time i called they re issured me they were waiting for my paperwork. By the 7th time i called, they said it was my responsibility to send all paperwork to insurance, which they never once told. Beyond frustrated with their inaccurate info and lies. Waste of time!!

I am not quite sure about other centers but piece of advise. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. I went there because I have pumps in the back of my tongue and sore throat. They charged me $100 after the insurance. After 10 days of using the antibiotic they described, the problem wasnt solved and now I have hard time to even swallow, my tongue is fuzzy and there is white yellowish color on it. When I went there to ask about the follow up, they said that I have to pay for the follow up as well. I asked why would I get charged for follow up while my throat is worse than before, the answer was "There is nothing free here." My advise, if you know what are you suffering from go to a specialist. It will be cheaper and more professional.
