When I noticed a problem with my 7 y/o tabby cat, Stanley, I immediately contacted my friend Erin, who works as a Vet Technician at World of Animals at Elkins. I was frazzled, in an anxious state, and Erin talked me down, asked me questions about the patient, and even helped me schedule an appointment for the next day. The openness and kindness that was shown to me, especially during a time of difficulty, is unforgettable. Upon arrival, World of Animals granted me an immediate feeling of relief. The cozy, clean, modern environment felt secure and warm. I knew I was in a building full of animal-lovers. We were greeted with friendly smiles, and were assisted right away. Erin, who was also our technician for the day’s visit, helped Stanley out of his cardboard carrier, and immediately started bonding. Though I had known Erin for years, she had never met Stanley before. It was almost as if they’d been friends forever. Stanley is, typically, a flighty, feisty cat. But with Erin, (and Dr. Tancredi,) he was the exact opposite. He was cool, calm, collected, and didn’t give off the slightest inclination of irritation. Erin guided us through the process, what we would be doing during the visit, which was calming and reassuring. Shortly after, Dr. Tancredi entered the room, and, with a professional, kind, gentle, and caring manner, checked Stanleys eye, ears, mouth, and so on. I have never, in my life, seen Stanley sit so still, and act in such a gentle, calm manner. The procedure went smoothly, and Doctor Tancredi instructed me on how I would be to administer the medication to Stanley, (very helpful.) The professionalism and compassion that is present in World of Animals is evident from the moment you walk in, and, even continues up until youre back home, snuggling with your cat, who you were worried sick about. Any questions I had were answered. Any help I needed was given. Any anxieties that I had were relieved, (and I was full of em.) Anything to make my pets life better, was done. My feline friend was treated with respect and kindness, and both he and I are appreciative of that. I felt secure in taking Stanley to World of Animals, because they are Certified Feline Friendly, according to the AAFP. Doctor Tancredi, Technicians Erin and Nicole, and Front Desk-Wrangler Anna, are extremely knowledgable, open, accommodating, respectful, and kind. There is no doubt in my mind that World of Animals is, now, the primary care center for my pets. I had not taken Stanley to the vet in years, and now, if and when I must do it again, I will feel secure, safe, and satisfied with bringing him to Dr. Tancredi and the gang.

Drs. Chi and Lee have always been great. Contrary to one reviewer, I have always found them to be very caring and compassionate. They have always been reasonable and honest. Based on the needs of my pet, they suggest different levels of care, as well as let me know when the most invasive treatment (even when I ask about it and they could make the most money off of) was not the appriopriate one. I also appreciate that they allow me to be in physical contact with my pets during treatments. I highly recommend them.

I have been taking my 4 cats to this hospital for the last 4 years and have always admired the professionalism and sensitivity of these Korean doctors. They have helped all of my cats at different times of need and have been spot on in their dignoses. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and make me feel comfortable handling my pets. Thank goodness they are in the neighorhood. I have had to call them first thing in the morning on a couple of occasions for emergency care and they have come through for me.

Ive had a several pets over the years - dogs and cats - and one thing Ive learnt is that quality medical care is totally worth paying for. These guys are a great veterinary hospital, the staff are friendly and professional and you can see they really care about your pets. Dont just take my word for it, speak to one of their doctors yourself!

I absolutely love this animal hospital! The office is very inviting, cheerful, neat and clean. The staff is very helpful and you can tell they truly love their job. Most times you can get an appointment the same day if not within 24 hours. Dr. Laura Tancredi is the best Ive ever known. I would never take my dog anywhere else.
