Portolese Family Chiropractic isnt just a chiropractic office, they are an amazing group of people that work together as a team to help their patients feel the best that they possibly can. Its not just about getting adjusted, they educate their patients on chiropractic and why its so important, they listen to what you have to say, study the information that they have and determine the best course of action for each individual. They ask what your goals are and do everything they can to help you achieve them. I went in to see them for pain that I was having when I would run. After a comprehensive consultation that included x-rays, we determined that there were a vast assortment of issues that were contributing to the pain that I was feeling. Ive been seeing them for three weeks now and the adjustments combined with the active and pressure point therapies as well as the stretches that they showed me to do at home, theres been such a drastic improvement in my mobility, posture and the amount of pain that I was feeling. For as much as theyve helped me with the issues that I went in with, theres a mental aspect to it as well. I walk out of the office after my appointment and Im always in the best mood. They are just so happy and full of energy and the work that they do lends itself to promoting a positive attitude and just an overall sense of happiness, relaxation and stress reduction. Dr, P, Dr. Z, Morgan, Brenda and the entire staff are the friendliest group of people and Im so happy to be in their care and to have formed such a positive bond with them. There isnt an appointment that Ive had, (and believe me, Ive had a bunch in short time,) where Im not laughing with Dr, P or Dr. Z about something! An overall outstanding group of people that want nothing more than to help their patients get back on the right track and achieve their goals!

My first appointment with Dr. Portolese was a year and a half ago for my painful arm and shoulder. The pain was so bad that I couldnt even reach above my head or reach out the window for the drive thru mac machine. It appeared to be a frozen shoulder. Dr. P and her caring staff made me feel right at home, taught me about the benefits of chiropractic and showed me exercises to do at home. It took several months of adjustment and exercises, but my arm is 100% better. And a year and a half later, I still go for monthly adjustments to keep me in balance and well. In fact, my two daughters and my husband are now patients too! The warm, nurturing atmosphere and the great staff really make me feel like a part of their family. Even if you dont know much about chiropractic, it is certainly worth investigating this natural, drug-free treatment. PFC is really a total wellness center with massage, acupuncture and even nutritional counseling available. I would highly recommend the PFC family!

As I was cleaning out our First Aid kits at home today, I polled a few other Mommies about the items they like to keep in their First Aid kits, just to be sure I remembered all the first aid items I wanted in our home. I was reminded how long it has been since I had taken or felt the "need" to take "Tylenol" or "Excedrin" type remedies. I am thrilled that I have not felt the need or desire to use those remedies for several years because I receive Chiropractic care!! I am so thankful for the opportunity for my husband, my son and I to be cared for by Dr. Tammy Portolese and Dr. Jim Fitzgerald!! Our son received chiropractic care for the first time by Dr. Portolese when he was just one day old and he is now almost 3 years old. Chiropractic care helps us to keep our little man growing strong, healthy and happy! He loves his chiropractic adjustments and even giggles during them too!! Thank you for keeping our family free of subluxations and so much more!

My mom has gone a few times in the last couple of weeks. The problem I see is that after her adjustment, they have her go to see someone regarding exercises and then without any notice, she owes an extra $20.00 on her bill, without anyone letting her know that there would be a charge. The other thing that really blew my mind is that on her second visit she paid cash and they didnt give her a receipt, they told her that they only give receipts for credit card transactions or for checks, which makes no sense at all. In all fairness, when I told my mom to ask again for a receipt they did give her one. All in all, my mom likes going and does feel better. I would feel better if they didnt seem to take advantage of my mom.

Whenever I am driving home from Portolese Family Chiropractic, I always notice two things: 1) When turning my head to back my car out, it turns farther and easier. 2) I feel elated! I guess a great adjustment session can have that affect, but its more than that; the atmosphere is positive and energetic, and they are truly interested in you as a person. Dr. Portoleses charisma is contagious. I used to walk around with a stiff back about half the time and would just say to myself, "Get used to it. It is what it is". But since going to PFC, my back is 100% fine. The only time it starts to stiffen up is if I stay away from PFC too long.
