This place is absolutely amazing. It was recommended to me by a girlfriend who had taken her pets here and loved the clinic for its professionalism and pricing. I couldnt believe how affordable this place really was. 64$ for a dog neuter! Rockstar. Scheduling was a breeze too, as other places like my vet require blood or paper work prior to surgery. My baby Ozzie needed to be neutered as well as a 4 baby teeth removal, and the staff were very kind and reasonable with scheduling. The only reason I am giving less than 5 stars is because of the first time I scheduled my puppies neuter. Nobody had informed me that he should not be fed past 10pm the night prior to his surgery. I actually found it odd since I have a female cat that I had spayed a couple years ago at the humane society. They had given her food restrictions, so I figured it was only a spay procedure thing. Due to this I gave him his morning treat before we left like I usually do after he goes out. When I fill out my paper work and bring it up, the front desk lady asks me if he has eaten anything after 10pm. I was confused because I didnt even know he shouldnt have had anything to eat. I informed her about the treat I gave him, and she told me it was fine. Nervously, I dropped him off and left the facility. While driving I kept thinking about how she asked if he had eaten and it worried me so I called them and another staff member answered the phone. I asked them if its alright that he had a treat that morning (just to give myself peace of mind) and the lady told me its an absolute risk to him, how he could aspirate it because of anesthesia and that all dogs are different, which can lead to death. She told me it was my decision if they go through with the surgery or not with the risk of complication, so I immediately went back and picked him up. I very much appreciate the lady who told me about this because it was a risk I did not want to take. However, when I told her I didnt know about no food after 10 she told me there was no way because everybody says that when scheduling somebody. This was completely false because I am living proof that sometimes people make mistakes and forget to tell people things they should. I absolutely understand and told them that when I came back. People make mistakes and its alright, but I certainly didnt appeciate the fact that she acted like I was misinforming her about what was the truth. Nobody told me that serious bit of information until after I had called and dropped him off. This was just an inconvenience since I live 45 minutes away from the clinic and I had planned the date with my girlfriend who has my puppies brother. It was alright though because this place really does good work for your pets, which is the most important part of all. I appreciate how they rescheduled us and took good care of my baby. They did a neuter, removed 4 baby teeth, and sent us home with extra pain meds. It was only 15$ extra. Totally worth it. Thank you for making this procedure an affordable one! My little maltipoo is healing up well, and his brother already healed super well weeks ago! My bestfriend and I are super pleased with the results. We were very worried, but once this place was recommended and we looked up reviews/pricing, there was no doubt this was the right place! Thanks for everything.

I dont typically come online to write reviews but Ive always been told to give credit where credit is due. I was a nervous wreck dropping Reilly off. The lady working at the desk was super nice. Even though there were people waiting behind me, she was nice enough to answer all my questions and didnt make me feel rushed. I was pretty nervous about my baby getting fixed. But the operation went pretty well, and even though its only been a day, he seems like hes doing pretty okay and is on his way to recovery. Im so happy! The staff here was so nice. Extra thanks to the girl who was working afternoons (the one with the purple ends in her hair). Her voice was so soothing. I was paying attention to her with all the animals and you could tell she genuinely cared about each and every single one of them. She was such a sweetheart!!!! Now, I originally found this place through a search for low cost fixing clinics. Even though it took me about 50 minutes to get there (50 there, 50 back home, then repeat when I went to pick up Reilly in the afternoon) I still spent less than half of what it wouldve costed me to get my baby fixed at the vet ten minutes from my house. I had him fixed, take home pain medication, and had some flea medication put on while I was there for $67. Thats unreal. And it was obvious he was in good hands. I found this place on accident and after doing my research, Im so glad I did. To the reviewer who claimed his pet didnt have fleas but the clinic treated his pet anyways (the reviewer said he thinks the clinic was just out to get him for more money), your review makes no sense to me, as they give you a form and you have to consent to everything they do. Do you want your pet treated for fleas if they are found on them? Circle: Yes or No. So you clearly had to give them permission to do so. I circled yes for certain things but told the lady working to please call me before they did anything besides fixing my cat, which they did. I dont know, that review was slightly off putting to me to the point where I almost didnt go to the clinic, but I decided to anyways. And I just wanted to point out for others who are considering this place that they wont do anything extra without your permission. Anyways, Reilly and I are super glad we made the trip out to penn hills. Hes in recovery mode, he has his pain meds and HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place to anyone and everyone who needs their fuzz butt fixed! You know what bob barker says! Lol. I would also like to add, I called on a Tuesday at around 3 pm and was able to get an appointment for the next day at 7 am. It was perfect because I work in the service industry, my schedule changes on a dime, I dont take days off for granted. I was really expecting them to tell me maybe in a couple days or something, but nope! Next day. And thats awesome!

Called today to get info on neutering a stray cat that hangs out around my father-in-laws house that weve been feeding. They told me because I dont know his age they require blood work first at a cost of $61 before they will do the surgery. When I asked why she said it was because to make sure he would survive the surgery. Um the cat is a stray that my brother-in-law found taped into a plastic container by the side of the road. Hes already been hit by a car once, he gets into a lot of fights and they tried bringing him into the house and he wont come in, doesnt want to even when its 10 degrees outside. Hes not feral but hes definitely not someones house cat. I want to have him neutered simply so that hes not increasing the stray and feral population in the neighborhood. I told the woman on the phone this and said "But hes no ones pet. " He just hangs around the house and we feed him. She said they would only not require the blood work if he was feral. What a rip off. I called my vet and they will basically do it for the same price as it would cost to do the neuter and blood work with this place, though my vet will do an exam to make sure hes healthy enough for the surgery, no blood work required. I thought any good vet would be able to figure out the animals age to begin with. I know I have taken cats to other vets who could give me an estimate on their age.So much for trying to do a good thing and control the pet population. I am going to try the Animal Rescue League instead. If I cant have it done with them Ill just go to my vet.
