The experience that I received doesnt even warrant one star. From start to finish I have never experienced that in my entire life. I have had many surgeries and the prep for this one was horrible. My surgery was suppose to be at 1 and as we all know, you cannot eat or drink after 10am. So I obeyed the rules and didnt have anything from 10am on. We get there and they appear "overbooked". There are 20 beds in the outpatient area and they booked over 30. By 12:35 I was in a room waiting to be wheeled up to the pre-op room. This is where it gets worse. I was stabbed about 12 times by 5 different people to get an IV started. The best line was "oh you must be dehydrated". No kidding, I havent drank anything as instructed since 9:50am and it is now 1:45 and I am still laying here waiting. They decide to take me to the OR and try to run the IV from in there since at this point I was about to tell them to take me back to my clothes so I can leave this place now. They wheel me into the OR and by some miracle, they are able to run the IV. I get out of surgery and go thru the motions until I get to my room to eat something small and drink so I can use the bathroom and go home. So now we are waiting to leave and I am then told that someone stuck themselves with one of the many needles that they couldnt run in my arm and they were waiting for the lab people to come and take my blood. REALLY!!! They should have done that while I was up in the OR, not when I wanted to go home. I have never experienced that in my life. I have had over 8 surgeries in my life and I will NEVER set foot in that part of the hospital again. The person who scheduled my surgery and the others that had to endure the way too long of a stay in a place where it was supposed to be short since it is called "short procedure unit", should have to sit in that tiny waiting room for 7 hours with no food or drink and get poked with a needle 12 times to see how their screw up affected people. There is no way that they would have ever scheduled themselves that torture and ended up with 6 black and blue marks on their arms.

I recently had my baby at Moses Taylor Hospital on July 25 2016. I was there for 2 days. Went home on the 27th and I have to say that for the most part my stay was absolutely WONDERFUL. All of the staff from the registration, to the nurses, all the way down to the housekeeper were amazing and treated me with the up most respect. You can tell that they genuinely care about their patients. The nurses on both Labor and Mom & Babies were always coming in to check on me to see if there was anything I needed. And no question was too silly for them. I had a very hard and painful labor but those nurses were there with me every step of the way. My nurse over in Mom and Baby (Vicky) was the absolute sweetest person. She was always right there whenever I needed her. I never had to wait long when I rang the call button. The housekeeper on the day shift over in Mom and Babies was so sweet and polite. She came in twice to check on me both days and asked how I was feeling and how my baby was doing. And each time she came in, she told me if I needed anything else, she was just a phone call away. She cleaned my room and made it feel homey. I believe she said her name was Chrissy. Unfortunately I cant say that about the housekeeper over on Labor and Birth day shift.(Laurie I believe is her name) I could hear her talking to someone and she was complaining about her co workers and boss. Not something I want to hear while I am in labor. I got the sense she wasnt happy with her job as she appeared to have an attitude. I noticed she had tattoos on her neck. I have nothing against tattoos but feel when you work in a place like a hospital or doctors office ,your tattoos should be covered. Very unprofessional in my opinion. That is the ONLY reason I am giving this hospital a 4 star rating. Other than the issues I just spoke of, I am very pleased with my stay and the care my baby and I received. Moses Taylor Hospital staff ROCK and I will definitely be coming back should I decide to have another baby in the future.

My father was getting a CT Scan and Bone Scan at a different location. While getting those precedures done. The doctor found an obstruction in his upper intestine. My father was advised to go to the ER Room. At the ER Room, he was given morphine which made his pain that he already had worse. After showing concern of my father being in so much pain. The attending decided to order another pain med, dulated. This pain med help him...My father was admitted to the hospital. While my fathers stay at the hospital, he was only visited by the GI Doctor, Dr. Sunday one time at 4 in the morning for about 5 minutes. He informed my father that their going to continue to monitor to see if the problem goes away. After that, my father was never seen by the doctor or attendings. I had to scream at the nurse to order another CT Scan to see if the obstruction was still there. My father didnt eat or drink anything for two days. Only time he was given an IV fluids was when I asked them too. The two day visit my father dropped 6 pounds. My father is yet to receive an at home call to see how he is feeling or doing. Very poor care......Whatever you do...dont bring your loved ones to this hospital.

I absolutely hated my experience there. Half the nurses were mean or didnt know what they were talking about. But when I got to my room after I gave birth they never gave me a can of dermaplast or the cream stuff for relieving my pain. But when I went to the bathroom.. It was in there, so I automatically thought it was mine, BUT IT WASNT! They didnt give me that stuff until the day i was leaving, I called the nurse and told her I was in a lot of pain and asked her to check and see if I got a infection or something and I said i was in a lot of pain, she said that was normal. I went home later that day with my son, and I couldnt stand or walk. My boyfriend checked and I was red and really swollen. So the next day I called my doctor and He gave me antibiotics for an infection. The bathrooms were nasty, not even clean. Shower was okay. I hated the fact that anytime someone in any other room flushed or used the bathroom I wouldnt have hot water. The nurses talk about you behind your back. (which is kinda normal) But They seriously need to hire better cleaning staff.. cause that place is nasty.
