My father was a resident at the Dunmore Health Care Center. He was there as a skilled nursing patient. He had physical therapy there, which was less than adequate. When a meeting was scheduled by the facility to report to the family on his progress the physical therapy dept. failed to show up. They were very impatient and unreliable with the care of my father in that respect. The health and nursing care was non existent. My father had developed a wound on his foot which we had never seen. One would assume it would have been reported by the nurse, had he been checked. By the time it was discovered a week into the infection, when they finally removed his sock on request of the family the wound had a horrific odor with a gangrene infection. His temperature was elevated above 102 degrees, pulse elevated, and blood pressure plummeting. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital where he unfortunately had to have a partial leg amputation. He remained on antibiotics for weeks. I am writing this review not out of anger but to inform future families and patients of the poor nursing care given at this facility. I hope to enlighten future potential patients and residents.

My mother was there physical therapy, she broke her knee they took good care of her. The only thing she didnt like was the food menu was not very good but the nursing staff and the physical therapist she likes very much. Its a very clean facility.
