I came here in desperate need for help being about 6pm on a Saturday, My Lab had puppies and one was not doing well at all. When we got there the Tech or whatever she was, was very rude, and told us that the Veterinarian has left for the evening (they dont close until 7) and kept implying that what was happening to this poor puppy was our fault. She told us she couldnt get a hold of the Veterinarian so we had to take him to an emergency hospital. Which we were fine with even though she was sending us to the other side of Pittsburgh, which is about a half an hour drive from the Mills, about an hour and 15 min from home. I really dont understand if it doesnt close until 7p why the Veterinarian wasnt there nor could she be reached. What kind of "animal hospital" are they running? But i really dont appreciate the tech basically telling us that it was our fault (especially when i was already having a hard time) and we should have been there sooner when we tried every possible thing we could, he went from being a little weak and eating to being extremely weak and me having to basically force feed him in like 2 hours, and kept telling us it wasnt looking good and he probably wouldnt make it. We went there as soon as he stopped eating. I will never take any pet here again, and i dont recommend anyone to go here unless you want 3 word answers like "I dont know", attitude, rudeness, and blame from the second someone "helps" you. She couldnt even answer a simple question of if a dogs milk could go bad. What kind of "Tech" cant answer questions like that for you. If they are rude to you i can only imagine how they are with the animals. And dont think about going any later than 5:45p or there wont be a Veterinarian there or in reach to help you. If you want any help at all i strongly suggest you find somewhere else, because this is NOT the place.

Got the puppy plan. We were initially pleased with it until the vet tech started selling add-ons, like a Benadryl shot for nearly $20. This wouldnt have bothered me normally, but they kept pushing the issue and telling me about--and exaggerating--the reactions our dog could have from the vaccine and how much emergency vets cost. All the other vets Ive been to will tell you to buy a pack of childrens Benadryl and tell you the dosage, in addition to telling you their hours and giving you the number for the e-vet, just in case. No scare tactics and hard selling. On the second visit, the exam table was pulled up (like a Murphy bed) and they immediately took our pup to the back room, where they did the vaccines and exam. Well, I *think* they did. Worse than that, they never told me where the injection site was. I figured it was on the shoulder like last time, until I felt a bump on my pups upper back leg. After googling, I found out that thats where, most likely, they gave my pup the rabies vaccine. Nice. Id like to switch vets now, but Im locked into the contract for a year. Im dreading scheduling getting my pup fixed. Theres some other stuff, too, but frankly I wouldnt put it past them to read this and try to narrow it down to a patient so they can retaliate, so I wont post it.

Never had an issue taking our two dogs here and its an extremely convenient location. We signed ours up for the monthly benefit plan @ roughly $25-28/month each, sort of pricey but better in the long run if god forbid anything major happens to them, in which case its covered. Medications are discounted along with a laundry list of other benefits and discounts, and checkups end up being free; no visit charge when on the plan. I just wish some sort of credit could be given if their services arent used for a long period of time, like two-month credit if no visits occur for one year, theres an idea! I guess thats why they make the big bucks... my only other complaint is about the timeliness of the visits; we end up waiting between 30-60 minutes of wait time alone every time we go and its only for a simple checkup. Get into the room faster! Overall its been pretty good, I would recommend going and also signing up for the monthly plans.

Ive taken my rabbit to Banfield on several occasions, but only because of the convenience of location. I wouldnt bring him here for any medical needs; it has been only to have his nails cut. However, I will never be going back. While I take my rabbit to a fantastic veterinarian in Gibsonia who knows and understands a rabbits needs, I was hoping to have Banfield simply provide a cosmetic service, BUT, they want to charge 40 dollars for an "office visit" which, lets be honest, is code for "Im going to look at this animal, tug around at its fur as if Im doing something, tell you nothing because Im not really looking for anything, I just want your 40 dollars." Then, they want to charge around 20 or so to conduct the service for which I was bringing him in the first place....and this is the charge EVERY SINGLE TIME! SCAM! Do not bring your pets here!

Staff was wonderful, helpful, and I never had to sit for long periods of time waiting for my appt. They do and Im sure that they are told too, will try to push unneeded procedures and push sales of products. Had an issue when my dog ate or was stung by a bee. Benadryl and other meds were given with immediate results. The Dr. wanted to do $400.00 worth of bloodwork. I refused and said that if there were complication I would bring her back. Who does that for a bee sting ! Although the doctors have all been nice, I would prefer to see the same doctor. We saw someone different almost every visit.

Weve been going here for almost a year. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. They have awesome follow up after every visit. We have a Bernese Mountain pup and he loves the staff! The doctors are very knowledgeable and give us all the info, not opinions, so we can make what we feel is the decisions for our pup. We did the puppy plan, which cant be beat! Covered all shots and neuter and vet visits. Very affordable and the care is excellent. We will continue with this office even after the puppy plan is up.

This place is a joke. Spent $600 only for the our dog to leave in the same condition that he was brought in. They didnt have the necessary tools and sent us to the pet er where another $600 had to be spent! They ordered a bunch of unnecessary tests & unnecessary meds. If you care for your animal, dont go here!! Scam artists!!!

Was very knowledgeable about what was going on with my pet cat but did some unnecessary testing on her that wasnt needed and it uped my bill And they try to push the wellness programs on you a bit too much during your 1st visit there and the wait time after you check in is usually about a 1/2 an hour to an hour

Theyre supposed to have options to help in case of an emergency and you cant afford the cost, IE payment plans, fund set aside. Its bull. My dog cant walk and they refuse to help. They dont give a crap if the animal is suffering.
