Dr Valentine and the office manager were very rude, unprofessional, insensitive and hypocrites. My mother suffered a traumatic injury among some other minor injuries during a fall out of a moving car. One of the large number of minor injuries was her face and teeth which is extremely important to a female. She visited Dr. V in early April of 2016 in which she determined she needed four crowns so my mothers insurance company was sent pre authorizations. After 2 denials, United Health Care advised Gentle Dental that the wrong code was being used and provided them with the correct one. After several attempts by me to initiated this re send, the information was finally sent via mail. We then waited days/weeks. We couldnt take no more. The front desk staff was all over the place in terms of knowing if the information was mailed or NOT. We were advised that we would be obligated to pay for ONLY one crown for the initial payment. So, we came prepared with that amount. When we arrived at the visit, the story changed. They then needed half of the bill. I tried to explain to them everything my mother has been through with the lack of communication and mistakes made on their organization which caused huge delays. After a few minutes, no accommodations could be made. Needless to say, no apologies were given neither. Dr V steps into the room with the office manager. We discuss it further with her...My mother and I then decide to pay the half of the bill. Now at this point the half of the bill wasnt a option neither. We acknowledge we would be responsible for the remaining and that we would pay the remaining of the bill in increments. Dr V then proceeded to whisper to the office manager and I quote "Thats what they say NOW, we have this happen before". I replied "What? Please do not take that out on us what someone else has done". If this is option, please let us elect that option. Do not slander us with those type of rude responses. She smirked and stood there with no response. I then I proceeded to ask them for a number to corporate. The office Manager replied "Your going to have to GOOOGLE it" because I only have emails. I said I will take the email. She said I cant give it out. Lie after lie. Again my mother had been through enough. SO to be slandered, laughed at, lied to and damn right treated like a poor person who would scam a dentist office was extremely rude. I hope the owner or someone that has some authority, would please reach out to me since I cant appear to find the appropriate party via google as a instructed. .

First time at Gentle Dental. I was given a clean bill of health by the dentist (Dr. Valentine, who was actually very nice) but the dental hygienist who was supposed to cleaned my teeth told me that my teeth were so dirty that I needed to get a special kind of cleaning that costs $80 and wasnt covered by insurance. OK-- why wouldnt the dentist have told me that when I met with her previously? And wouldnt my teeth be riddled with cavities (I have had 2 cavities in 29 years, and none in the past 5 years) if they were too dirty for a normal cleaning? That, in and of itself, does not warrant such a negative review. It was the condescending way she told me. She made me feel very bad and uncomfortable. This woman just rubbed me the wrong way with prying and intrusive questions. Near the end of this ordeal, she made a shockingly rude comment about a personal medical issue that was on my chart, but completely irrelevant to her function as a dental hygienist. I wont provide details, because it isnt something I share with anyone besides my doctor. On the other hand, Dr. Valentine was very nice, as I mentioned. She was very thorough, as well as professional. She explained everything she was doing and checking on, and even showed me how to interpret dental X-Rays to find cavities. I was honestly looking forward to having her as my dentist after my first visit. But because of the experience I had with the hygienist, I will be finding a new dentist.

Following a move from Seattle I needed to be seen for an emergency tooth extraction. This was the 5th place that I had been in contact with and the visit was nothing short of perfect. Not only were they able to address my concerns, they were also very courteous, empathetic, and were flexible with pricing. There was little to no wait time and when I met with thee Dr. Steven Gelbart his reputation proceeds him!! The procedure was clean, enjoyable, faster than anticipated, and he really treated me with care. His assistant Bri was so personable and made me feel at home. The manager Denise was phenomenal and informed me of the cost and price points before hand. Front desk personnel Eli and Regina made my initial interaction/check out memorable and pleasant. To the staff at this location THANK YOU FOR BEING PROFESSIONAL, ATTENTIVE, AND REMARKABLY CUSTOMER ORIENTED!! I highly recommend this facility to individuals and families of all ages!! Additionally check out that Dentrite Discount Plan, the savings are out of this world! From a grateful friend and patient -Candice P.

This place is half dentistry and half snake oil sales. The cleaning are good, but every visit is a sales pitch for the pending up sell. My wife and always have separate visits about a week a part. We have very different teeth. She brushes three time a day, flosses daily, and has never had a cavity. I am slightly less diligent and have multiple fillings. However every 6 month visit we both get the same "not covered by insurance" up sell. This last time they told us both we were at risk for infections spreading into bones due to gingivitis and sold us a special $25 risen the would prevent it. Plus they told both of us that we need sealants. Before this visit they pushed anti snore devices, teeth whitening, special tooth paste, a special rise that could detect Cancer, and more. All of which sound reasonable from a medical professional but oddly enough none are covered by insurance. The teeth cleaning is good, but the constant up selling has destroyed their credibility. I just never know when I can believe their diagnosis.

Really the best dentist experience ever!!! I moved to this dentist office about 2 years ago from a very high priced dentist in West Chester, that was out of network. We have a family of six. Just going to that old dentist for cleanings, x rays, the basics, would put us back, out of pocket at least $800, going one time, not 2x a year as recommended. Finally I got fed up, by a rude desk person and looked around for a new dentist. Enter Gentle Dentle of West Chester, which I knew nothing about, but took a chance a moved my whole family there. The whole staff has been kind and accommodating to us. The office is clean, and updated. I feel wholly taken care of, and the experience is just as good, if not better as our old, over priced dentist. For me, especially, a fearful dentist goer, this has been a A+ experience. Their dental hygienist is amazing to me. Their office staff is pleasant and professional! I love dealing with them, and they are easy to book appointments with. Thank you Gentle Dentle!
