I had made an appointment to have a cavity filled that was giving me problems. I went to my appointment and couldnt even tell who worked there because they were dressed casually. The doctor and assistants DID NOT wear masks and I found this extremely disturbing seeing as they were inches from my wide open mouth and could see up their noses the whole time. They told me nothing of what they were going to do, just numbed me up and started drilling my teeth. They drilled and filled my cavity and ALL the other large teeth around it on my left lower side. Was told I needed to come back to get a few more teeth filled. Went to that appointment and they drilled and filled ALL the large teeth on my top left side this time. Now the middle of all those teeth are sunken in and I have the worst sensitivity and can absolutely not chew on my left side without extreme pain as to where before I was only having issues with one tooth. After that they called me and told me I need to make an appt. to get some more fillings. When I asked how many more she told me TEN!! I told her absolutely not. This dentist is clearly taking advantage of the fact that I have insurance through the state and they will pay 100% of the cost for each filling he gives me. I feel like the integrity of the teeth on the left side of my mouth is completely ruined and Im only 23 year years old. I could just cry for being so stupid and letting them touch any other teeth other then the one that was bothering me. They didnt explain anything. Didnt tell me what they were going to do. Just went to town with drilling massive holes in my mouth and filling them poorly because they were too busy to take their time and do a good job. Please dont go here! **UPDATE** 09/29/2015 I still have extreme sensitivity on all the teeth on the left side of my mouth. I cannot chew anything and if I accidentally do I suffer with shooting pain for the rest of the day! I am so scared to go to another dentist to see what they can do for fear that they will be the same way since I have state insurance. I have talked to many people who have experience the same problem. A friend even found on her chart at another dentist that she was having her wisdom teeth removed when she indeed already had them out year ago! This is malpractice and fraud to lie to the state and to patients and tell them they need procedures that they do not for money! Beware!

Thought it was odd that they found 7 cavities when I take very good care of my teeth. (it makes sense now reading the womans review with state insurance....I have it as well). They broke up the fillings into 4 appointments which is very costly for a single mom of 3. On the 2nd appt the assistant used a metal file on my front teeth and chipped a piece of my composite off. The whole time I was there she was on her phone and complaining about how the dentiat didnt close the contacts properly and how no one does there job there. On the last filling he ended up stabbing my tongue with the anesthetic. When it finally wore off later that day I was in excruciating pain. Couldnt bite down without severe pain...constant throbbing. That lasted for two days. On day 3 I developed an incredibly painful abcess. Its apparent he drilled into my pulp and after reading some of the other reviews...it probably was a healthy tooth. (never had tooth pain before I went there) I will be finding someone else to fix his mess. Dont want a botched root canal like the other guy.

Dont go here. They are extremely rude. I was told that I needed a root canal and that my insurance wouldnt cover it but i could have my tooth pulled. No thank you i would rather pay $1000 and keep my tooth. I called my insurance and they said they do cover it and gave me a provider that could do it. When I called back to this office I let them know that I didnt appreciate how I was treated and asked them for a referral and to have my xrays sendto my new dentist. I called my new dentist and they didnt receive a referral. So I called back to Ultra dental and was told that they will not be sending a referral and they will not be sending my xrays. To me that is just extremely childish and unprofessional. If you want to be treated badly and lied to then go to this dentist but if you want to be treated with respect and courtesy dont go here.

If you are considering visiting Ultra Dental in York Pa please reconsider!! This practice is a joke!! They are so unorganized it is scary. Nobody knows what is going on and they run 1-2 hrs behind always! Their Expanded Functions Dental Assistants are very very rude and unprofessional! I was verbally attacked by two of them, Tina Ness and Shaun Hosse, and was worried they were going to become physical when the one slapped her hands together in my face as a means to scare me. I cant explain well enough how horrible my experience was there, and from the many voices in the waiting room, I am not alone!! Find another dentist!!!!

Had a root canal done here about 2 years ago. The completely botched the whole deal. During the procedure the dentist ground down two of my canine teeth (guess they where in his way) which was not something i had requested or was told would happen. Now, to this day, i still have pain in my tooth they did the root canal on, AND on top of it all the two teeth they ground down that where not to be touched in the first place also hurt! DO NOT GO HERE! I absolutely wish I had filed a malpractice. Unfortunately I was young, friendly, and unaware of the future problems i would have due to going here!

Deplorable! Absolutely Deplorable! The female dentist got her dental degree from a box of lucky charms. The staff talked among themselves while working on me about stuff i really didnt care about. The dentist is a liar and as a result of her "miscommunicating" something to me I had to have an oral surgery due to a bur she left in my sinuses but telling me it may have been a piece of my tooth.I dont even give them 1 star but you must click one to write a review. No stars! Never trust a strip mall dentist!!!

WORST DENTISTS !!!!!!! So clueless and unorganized. My daughter goes in for severe pain..oh you have all 4 impacked wisdom teeth you need to see an oral surgeon. Hey lets clean your teeth while your here. SERIOUSLY! Then sent her on her merry way NO ANTIBIOTICS.... NO PAIN MEDS! My other daughter had root canal that was not done correctly had to get tooth pulled recently. I question the lisence here.

I read the other reviews and I must say I have never had a problem with the staff or Dr. Tom. Everyone has always been very friendly, I have been going twice a year for over 3 years. I will say that they do overbook. I have learned overtime how to deal with this. I will only schedule an appt. for 1st of the day and arrive 15 mins early so we are seen first. Always in and out with no problems.
