Extremely disappointed to find yet another "business as usual" company. Wonderful staff, really very caring and informative. They truly make you feel comfortable, and from there really Id thought that Id found my new dentist as Im new to the area. The "business as usual" aspect, is the smarmy hidden costs and "look at this shiny object" tricks that seem to be commonplace in todays medical industry. My issue was with a bag of stuff handed to me after a cleaning. You know how your dentist will give you a little goody back, some toothpaste, a new toothbrush, maybe floss, fluoride, or mouthwash? Ya, me too. This is exactly what happened, no word of "this costs X amount or this is free but we have to charge you for that". There was talk about a new electric toothbrush, and how Id really benefit from one. "Its $129 with a $20 rebate, just think about it and let me know if youd like to order one". Ok, I will. Well after the second part of my cleaning, Its my understanding that some insurance companies now make patients go in two sittings to help alleviate pain associated with a cleaning, I get the news that my cost for this visit is X. What? That cant be right. "Let me get the office manager". Well then the office manager goes through the costs of everything punching away on a calculator, when I hear her mumble some medical sounding term. I ask what that is, and she explains that its the fluoride that I was given. You know, the stuff that the Hygienist threw in my bag after my first visit? Oh, ok...Im charged for that? "Yes". Why, how much is that? $116. WHAT!! No offer to take it off the bill. So in short, well done Aspen Dental. High grades from whomever it was that told you to just hand things to patients, do not under any circumstance talk price. Hell, maybe no one will ever know and either the patient or the insurance company will just pay for it. Right? So you added $116 to the bottom line for July 2016, but you lost a patient. I hope your practices change. Mark Holyoke

Dental hygienist Katie is incredibly warm and professional. Front desk folks are also equally as warm, but I am always charged a random amount of money each time I visit. I can never expect what I am going to pay, as each visit they charge me something different--no consistent copay. In the same vein, this place seems to go through a never-ending rotation of dentists who are consistently rude and have poor bed-side manners. For example, the dentist who waltzed into my room 40 minutes after my cleaning was completed (as I sat in the uncomfortable chair 6 months pregnant), did not look at me, stood behind me, and interrogated me about whether I brushed and flossed daily, with a tone insinuating that I was lying when I told him I did (and this is before he even got a look at my teeth--not to mention my face!). He continued to interrogate, "Well, then do you floss after every meal?" I responded that I didnt, and he replied, "Well, you should," in condescending tone. I am happy to be moving, no longer patronizing this place. If I could give Aspen Dental North Smithfield advice, it would be to nurture the staff that actually cares; make sure they are compelled to stick around. And to teach your dentists some manners! Just because they have an advanced degree does not mean they dont need to act like decent human beings!

I avoid dentists like the plague and have only gone when there is an emergency. Today (7-22-2015) I went in for surgical extractions of two wisdom teeth. My last experience with a different dentist for a wisdom tooth removal was horrendous. It was like living a nightmare. Honestly, I dont think he knew what he was doing. I went in and had an appointment with Dr. Kim. In less than 1 minute he had two teeth out, with absolutely no pain, and I almost didnt feel any pressure when the teeth were coming out. Hours later, and I am still in no pain. Being from someone who abhors going to the dentist, I highly recommend this Aspen Dental, as well as Dr. Kim. I will be returning for all my work. My experience was painless and quick. The rest of the staff I had dealt with were very friendly, courteous and reassuring.

As soon as I went in, I was met by a pleasant young lady, she walked me through all of the steps. I was then brought in for x-rays by another pleasant young lady and then the Dr. did his examination and explained to me about all of the procedures. I then met with the office manager who walked me through all of the cost and what was going to be done. At this point I knew that the company was interested in myself not themselves. They worked around my schedule, I had the procedures done in an hour and one half, 8 teeth removed, plates put in, again everyone checking on my constantly, second day, everything checked out again. Aspen Dental should be extremely proud of their employees in the way they handle their patients and as being representatives on Aspen Dental. I would recommend them to anyone.

First off I have a fear of dentist that goes back to when I was but a wee lad . I have neglected my dental care for twenty years . Very recently developed a severe tooth ack and the pain was Unbearable, this was not my first experience with this type of pain , in fact I have resorted in pulling my own teeth in the past . My teeth are now an embarrassment. I reluctantly agreed to call a dentist to get relief from the pain .I contacted aspen dental to try to make an emergency appointment , they took me in the next day 1st am . Aspen dentals staff were helpful and understanding ,walked me through the entire experance from exray to extraction with upfront priceing , I now have no fear and am looking forward to future appointments as I seek to reverse so many years of neglecting my teeth , J.J.C

The entire staff at this location is absolutely amazing. Dr. Patel is easy going, and very knowledgable and very patient as well as sympathetic to your issues. I went in for an emergency visit. They were extremely coordinated, helpful and sincere. They explained the process of getting me back to myself and timing and just made the overall process relaxing and made me feel safe in their office and with their team. I am glad my own dentist was on vacation as I wont be going back there any more. This office is very neat and clean, and the technology in it is equally amazing to the staff. I have never felt so safe and comfortable in a dentists office. Truely amazing! If you need a crown, after 3 mos they couldnt get it straight and ended up going to another dentist.

Clean, professional look and feel about the facility. I have sensitive teeth. I was hoping my initial experience at Aspen Dental would not be a painful one. I think in her haste to get my exam done, the hygenist forgot how sharp the instrument was she used to probe my teeth and gums. I came away sore. I was hoping for a more pleasant first time experience. I think that could have happened with a little more care on the part of the hygienist and a little less "let me hurry up and get this done" attitude. The office manager was pleasant and professional. But the hygienist not so much. Also the visit was prompted because part of one of my molars broke off. I presumed the dentist would do a temporary fill until my treatments could begin. This did not happen.
