Dr. Shah is an unbelievably compassionate and intelligent physician. He genuinely cares about his patients and is truly concerned about our well being and overall health. He spent much more than the usual 5 minutes with me, and he actually took the time to get to know me- as an individual, as opposed to a medical chart. Dr. Shah has such a positive, youthful and sincere disposition, and always made me feel comfortable. After not knowing what was wrong with me for several years, and going to a variety of physicians, hospitals, specialists, etc., I finally came across Dr. Shah. He was the first physician to actually LISTEN to me, and my story, and everything I had to say. Luckily Dr. Shah listened to me with no reservations, and given my age- even more surprisingly so. A year ago, I was a happy, energetic, and successful 22-year-old young woman, but then I literally began to feel like I was an 85-year-old woman. I experienced symptoms of: fatigue, chronic pain, widespread pain, sporadic pain, aches in my joints and muscles, weakness, excessive sleeping, and especially scary for me- cognitive deficits-including forgetfulness, fogginess and memory problems. Being a graduate student, I couldn’t afford to be “sick” for as long as I was. I told Dr. Shah about the numerous blood tests that various doctors had administered; all of which came back negative for anything and everything. I discussed my opinion regarding Lyme Disease and he immediately acquiesced to my opinion. He didnt undermine me, as most doctors did, but stated that it was more than plausible. I had been to around 10-12 "renowned" doctors, that came highly recommended for their expertise, and most were unwilling to listen to my opinion, if I even got the chance to express it. The most recurrent diagnosis I heard was depression, and it was frustrating to continue to hear something when you always knew it was fallacious. Even though I desperately sought an answer, or some type of explanation, I refused to succumb to their disingenuous ego driven explanations, and diagnoses- or should I say lack of…. Apparently today’s medical field is also very drug fueled because- I was literally handed prescription after prescription from the majority of doctors I saw. I noticed most doctors relied heavily on medication and they were eager to prescribe anything. These doctors had more faith in their prescription pad, than my evidently trivial opinion(s) regarding my own health. Many of the doctors were unaware what was wrong, barely offered explanations for my symptoms, but all seemed to have one thing in common. Each and every doctor I saw was all too eager to intervene with a medication! So I discovered a common routine emerged from my experience with several RI doctors. These doctors’ collectively relied on prescribing medication and their persistency appears indicative to the reality of kickbacks. I knew how common false negative tests for Lyme Disease are, and I also know that many doctors in RI (such a hotspot area) are NOT Lyme Literate. ALL of the doctors told me that my blood work was in order and everything came back negative, and none bothered to re-test me. Dr. Shah was the only one to consider my opinion, at the very least. Thankfully Dr. Shah is not just a physician but also an actual human being, whom prides himself on responsibly ‘helping’ his patients. I felt so moved by the attention and warmth Dr. Shah showed me, I have never waited for more than 10 minutes to see him. I also have recommended many friends to him, who are also pleased with him. Dr. Shah administered accurate Lyme Literate tests (different tests- more accurate tests on a titration), which unfortunately came back positive for Lyme Disease, but at least now I know what the problem is, and it can be treated. I owe Dr. Shah everything because a lot of people didnt believe me, including many of the doctors I saw!

Im told the providers are quite good. Good interactions (x2) with Providers at their attached Urgent Care inspired my Primary Care visit. So, this is a critique of the Clinic, and not the provider. I will also state that the COO spoke with me personally afterward and listened to my concerns. I only rate my experience and that of my immediate family member under my insurance. The waiting room is a borderline HIPAA violation, as its tiny size broadcasts private patient window transactions to the entire room. My business was everyones business. Customers stood directly next to me at the window on both sides, so close that it was within sight of my records. My entire transaction with staff was overheard, and I was ridiculed when I asked them to move away from the window. Service from clinical office staff was poor on two separate transactions by two unique members of my immediate family - curt, haughty phone behavior followed 2 weeks later by an in-person inflexible and erroneous (at the least) processing of insurance verification. Because the room was so small, I must also mention the smell in the waiting room, which was more of a bar-room that a Health Care facilitys clinical waiting room. It reeked of alcohol from the seated clientele.

While I was there the care was fair, I was let go from his practice without reason and wasnt even given an option for future planning. Ive dealt with a lot of medical practitioners in the past unfortunately but Ive never been treated this badly in my life from a Dr., hopefully the great nursing staff he had at the time found a better office to work out of considering the amount of new faces the staff cycles through, Id be surprised if anyone is left from the original staff.

This Dr office is ridiculous. The Dr gave my husband a prescription for ibuprofen when it CLEARLY states on his chart he is allergic to it. My husband had an appointment to have a re check and the Dr had f****** blood on his hand!!!!!!! Was NOT my husbands. Once we are able to he is switching to another Dr. Nothing but problems.

Was my primary for 17 years or so. All of a sudden he is not around. Over 3 years. Medical staff is a revolving door. Sad to see he let this practice go.
