Weve been going to Providence River for seven years and they are the best veterinarians office weve ever gone to. When we moved to Providence we read in a local magazine that they were rated the best vet in the city which is why we went to them to begin with. Even when we moved to Boston for two years we still kept coming down to Providence just for them. They took amazing care of our older dog for five years before he passed away and we credit his excellent health later in life to the care we received from them. They also take care of our cat but she doesnt go as often as our dog. We got a new puppy (Monarch) in early 2015 and went there 10+ times for all of his shots and typical puppy ailments. They take amazing care of our animals, and they are all so nice there. If youre looking for a new vet, you cant go wrong here.

Everyone at PRAH is friendly, professional and clearly loves animals. The facility is clean and welcoming and the service level is impeccable. As hard as it is to diagnose issues with animals, PRAH does so with deliberate caution and care for the pet and the owner. They often go above and beyond. For example, just this week Dr. Linden quickly diagnosed my dogs eye issue between soccer and lacrosse practice drop offs. Amazing!

just moved to providence, was scared to be away from my regular vet, when you find a good one you stick with them because theres some terrible ones out there, but all the worry was for naught. dr linden and vet tech jamie are wonderful. they are kind and compassionate. my dog was very comfortable in their care..glad to have found another great vet.. thank you providence river animal hospital

They provide the expected level of service for a veterinarian but are overpriced and very difficult to work with when trying to use an online pharmacy. They ran through a whole sales pitch when I told them I wanted a written prescription then told me I was making a mistake by using an online pharmacy. They then refused to fax the written prescription to me or to the online pharmacy.

Our dog Gansett is more or less feral when its not my wife and I. The professionals at Providence River Animal Hospital go above and beyond calling for him. He is mean and bitey. But they have figured out how to handle him and already have a nice thing to say about his visit even though we know hes a jerk. I would recommend this business to anyone who loves their pets.

My wife and I have been taking our pets to Providence River for years now, and always have had great care and service! Having 2 dogs and a cat is a challenge, but the technicians are always pleasant and helpful. Dr. Linden cares for two of our pets, and Dr. Dahill cares for our yellow lab. They are both such great vets, we wouldnt dream of going elsewhere!

Staff seemed less than truly caring. On my first visit, a woman came in and began attending to my pets. Didnt introduce herself, her role or what she was doing. Very clinical type of first visit. If I didnt have a list of questions, I would have left knowing nothing about my girls health! Wouldnt take my pets back there.

I just moved to the area and decided to try them out. My dog needed surgery, and when I went to pick him up, he was in his own room, filled with blankets. Basically they treated my dog, the way I would treat him. Thanks to the surgery, I now have my old dog back!!!
