We have known Dr. Walsh for many years. He took excellent care of our Sheltie, Amber, for her whole life. Unfortunately, since she was a young pup, Amber had many health issues (bad hips, seizures and a heart condition.) Dr. Walsh always gave us options and made suggestions but never pressured us in to any particular treatment. When she was an old dog she suffered with vertigo and then we were horrified when she scooted out of the house one summer night and was hit by a car. She was in shock and we thought we had lost her. We brought her to the Tyngsboro Veterinary Hospital never expecting we would ever bring her home again. My husband and I and our two teenage daughters were distraught. Dr. Walsh was ready to great us when we arrived and was obviously concerned. He treated us all with compassion and care and reported to us that Amber had a ruptured spleen. He could have easily suggested surgery and we would have agreed but Dr. Walsh again gave us options and suggested that because of her age, surgery might be too much for her to endure. She stayed with Dr. Walsh for a few days and then miraculously she started to recover! He allowed us to take her home and was cautiously optimistic. He told us to enjoy our time with her and to call him when we were ready to let her go and that Amber would let us know when that time would be. It is hard to believe she lived another year after that horrible accident! On the day that Amber let us know and we decided it was time, Dr. Walsh made himself available right away knowing that the decision was too painful for us to dwell on. He allowed us to stay with Amber while he put her to sleep. He explained everything that was happening carefully and treated his patient with the same love and compassion that he always had since she was a puppy. He petted her gently and spoke softly to her as she slipped away. He then left the room and told us to take as long as we needed alone with Amber to say goodbye. It was an emotional but very sweet farewell to our beloved dog. Because of the excellent care she received from Dr. Walsh and the Tyngsboro Veterinary Hospital, Amber lived a good, long, happy life for 15 ½ years, much longer than anyone would have ever expected! We have a new dog now that we adopted from animal shelter and would never think of going to any other Veterinarian. Thank you Dr. Walsh!

Dr. Walsh wont waste your time and dont waste his. All these reviews about his bedside manner have obviously not used him for years. My immediate impressions were similar and I was taken aback by his abrupt manner but heres the big thing; Whatever hes telling you is good advice, so listen. We stayed at this vet because they are very well informed, very reasonable and ALWAYS give you solid, practical advice. They recommend the most sensible course of action regardless of whether or not its financially beneficial for them. I have never met a vet like that before... putting the patient before the practice. Dr. Walsh is a commendable veterinarian. I really saw his true colors when our dog was mysteriously ill and test results were all over the map. He was incredibly committed to finding the answer and followed up on her progress. I believe he spent hours on our case and we werent charged a dime aside from tests being sent out to labs. To those who cant deal with his practical no-nonsense practice, Im sure youll find another vet willing to run many unnecessary tests and bill you for every moment of their time with you.

Living in Tyngsboro all my life, I have had the pleasure of having Dr. Walsh for my Vet. as long as I can remember... He has been patient and has educated me throughout my life about proper care of my animals, considering I was very ignorant about animals through my youth, he has brought me a long way.... Now we have 6 healthy dogs in his (and his staff) care. We like the fact we feel confident when we do have a problem with one or more dogs he knows what the problem is, puts the dogs health first, and they get what they need right away. I recomend Dr. Walsh and his staff to anyone who is interested in a careing, compationate, Vet. and a VERY knowledgeable staff..... .. I would like to thank all of you who give our "kids" the best care at a very fair and honest price....Sandy Rodrigues

Dr. Walsh has saved the life of one of our dogs, and while his manner might be curt at times, he is a wonderful, caring and experienced care provider that I feel is unfairly underrated and very often overlooked. Two surgeries on our oldest dog, and her recovery both times at advanced age was nothing short of incredible. He helped them fix their diet problems, and was very saddened by the loss of our youngest dog, Macy. Hes a little old school and hes straight to the point, but he doesnt gouge price wise or take advantage of you when you come in with something upsetting. The proof of his experience and devotion to his craft is reflected in the health of our pets.

First time there with a New kitty...he was rude and sarcastic. He talked down to me as if I knew nothing. I have been a vet tech for over 5 years. I did not mentioned that to him. However I listened to what he had to say...working with several Dr I have never encountered such rude and unprofessional behavior. At one point laughing at my face for a question that I asked. I would NEVER EVER to back there and I would NOT recommend him to anyone. Horrible experience..all i did was get paid to be laughed at and talked down to and left feeling humilated and got NO answers to help my kitty. Horrible!!!

I work for an animal shelter and recently we had a dog surrendered to us who received vet care from Tyngsboro Vet Hospital. I called the office looking for the vet records and was hung up on. Thinking it was an accident, I called right back. The man who answered cut me off and told me he could not talk right now because he was the only one there and was with a client at the moment. I asked if I could give him my info so he could return my call. He told me no, Id have to call back later, and he promptly hung up the phone. I was extremely put off by how rude and unprofessional he was.

Horrible Horrible!!! This vet was not at all professional. He was rude and presumptuous. I came in with an emergency and he was so disconnected with no compassion and refused to treat my kitten because he said he didnt think it would make it. Horrible! I wouldnt have flew to the closest vet if I didnt want to try to save her!! I ended up having to give the kitten mouth to mouth all the way to the Nashua vet who grabbed her up and rushed her to the back and began immediate treatment. They were awesome there. Do NOT risk your pets care with this quack!!!!!!!!!

We came in for a second opinion from that Pet Factory Hospital in Dracut and we were desperate for an accurate and truthful diagnosis. WOW! This guy is wonderful and what you want for a vet for your animal. Sure, he is a no BS kind of guy and tells it to you straight but he knows his stuff, has the experience and he doesnt try to guilt you into needless procedures that cost hundreds or even thousands. If you want your hand held and a hug and a kiss, go someplace else. If you want quality care from an experienced Vet, this is where you want to be!!
