My daughter whom is 6 years old and Autistic had a lot of dental issues due to her eating habits which are from her sensory issues. She went to a dentist in Cranston who was unable to touch her, they referred us to St Joseph, I was very hesitant due to reviews I read online. Well let me tell you these reviews couldnt be any more wrong. My daughter had oral surgery done at Fatima and the doctors from St Joesphs are the ones who performed the work, from start to finish they were more then fantastic with her and us as parents. They explained everything to us , there plans and intents if something was to happen during surgery. EXTREMELY NICE as well! One hour after having a two hour surgery and being put to sleep and having 7 teeth pulled and multiple caps put on my daughter was up and running around, eating playing laughing and had no swelling or complaints!! We couldnt even believe she had surgery! THANK YOU THANK YOU, she is so much better off now! We went for our follow up yesterday and i was gearing up for her to bug out when she saw the doctor (it took her 5 years to get use to her primary care doctor!) she saw the Doc and opened wide mouth for her!!! That to me is super huge as I know she is comfortable with them! THANK YOU AGAIN DOCS!!! and FYI the women (i can not remember her name at this time) who schedules the surgeries is very nice and extremely helpful! thank you again all!

I was really worried taking my 10 year old son with Williams syndrome here today after reading some of these reviews. Im extremely happy to say that it couldnt have gone any better! My son needs some baby teeth pulled and I was afraid hed need to be put under anesthesia because hes so wiggly and can have anxiety over these types of things. Dr. Silva was absolutely amazing with him! He had a very positive attitude, which makes a big difference when it comes to my son. He explained everything as he did it, kept him talking, showed him all his tools and was just generally laid back, welcoming, patient and kind. I feel so much better after going to his appointment today. My son did great for his cleaning and Dr. Silva is confident that he wont need to be put under to have work done. Dr. Silva was also extremely thorough, and is making sure to call my sons pediatrician just to be sure theres no additional info he needs to know, or antibiotics that need to be administered before work being done due to my sons heart condition. No other dentist wanted to go near my son due to his disability, but man, we truly lucked out with going to St. Josephs today! With my sons syndrome weve seen a lot of doctors in different fields over the years, and it takes a lot to impress me. I am most definitely impressed with Dr. Silva!

Its a terrible dentist. I brought my son in last year and afterward they couldnt book his next follow up appointment because for whatever reason their computers were down. They told me to "check in a few days later" to make his next appointment. I had to keep calling and the staff were short with me on the phone as if I wanted to keep calling back? When I finally got that done, we had to wait 2 months for his next appointment and upon getting there at 11:32 for an 11:30 appointment, the receptionist told me he wouldnt be accepted late. When I asked if she could check she said, "I already know the answer is no." I cant even believe this place - I understand we were late (the halls there are winding and I find it pretty confusing to even navigate the place), but it was exactly 2 minutes - you spend longer than 5 minutes in the waiting room after checking in anyway! Hospitals generally have a 5-10 minute leeway, especially when its a pediatrician - its not always possible to get your kid out of the house on time. I just cant understand this place. My son is in urgent need because he has cavities and being late by 2 minutes is more important than caring for him. Weve decided to switch him to another dentist. No one needs the stress.

if you love waiting in super long lines in a congested waiting room along with the receptionist taking their dandy time on the computer, then this is the place to go. Even if you go in early, youll still get called in late. Even if you go in late, youll still be last priority. You can see what the receptionists are doing and they can careless if youve been standing there for 45mins, theyll just continue talking to each other in the back, going through the computer, and occasionally answer phone calls. the other reason why i have two stars is the kindness and generosity the dentist is to myself and my child. They geniunely care and for those 30 mins, they make my child happy and relaxed.

I really like this place, I have 3 kids and they like it as well. Very disciplined with their schedule (due to the excessive little patients they have) you need to arrive at least 10 mins early as in any medical office due to paperwork if need it. Nice people, very nice dentists and the place is not bad considering it was a hospital. Read and follow the signs to get there on the second floor. Entrance is on one side of the building where the security guard office is located, next to the Health Center. Two thumbs up!

I refuse to go back. Went in and it was ragged. A mother was in there screaming at receptionist asking why her child never got a refill for his percocet he was prescribed. Went to check in and i was "too early" for my appt. My youngest has to have a filling and they said i can go there and i refuse.

My children have been going for years since the ages of 5 and 6 months. I love the staff. The doctors are wonderful.
